A sunset used to be appreciated mainly because of the beautiful sight it exhibited, but here at Brownstone’s Sunset Loft, guests not only take in the extravagant view, they feel it. Feeling the sunset through the visit to our two story one bed/ one bath, room for four (comfortably), tastefully decorated, suited for royalty is an appreciation only our guest can experience at Brownstone Guesthouses. This guesthouse comes with high speed internet access, a stove, a microwave, a refrigerator, as well as all the other basic necessities guests need to feel at home. Literally two steps away from your doorstep is our crystal clear... 27 foot lap pool that is always at our guests disposal. For those who want to experience the notorious beaches of Nassau, it is just a 7 minute walk from your doorstep. Brownstone’s Sunset Loft is the place for you to feel connected to paradise, the place for you to feel at home and the place for you to be. So come settle by the sun at Brownstone’s Sunset Loft.

For further convenience and pleasure, we are happy to purchase special grocery items prior to your arrival. Brown Stone is moments away from the beautiful beaches in the western side of the island. We are about a 5 minute walk to the beach where you can take an early morning walk to watch the sunrise or sit on the beach to watch a beautiful sunset. There is a glamorous night life, world class casino gaming and gourmet dining in the nearby Cable Beach area. For an adventurous, mix and mingle with the locals you can travel on the local number 10 bus service which will take you to the world famous straw market located in the heart of down town Nassau. The bus can also take to you to the eastern part of the island to visit our world Class Atlantis Paradise Island Resorts. There is also a golf course, and scooter rental within walking distance of Brown Stone location.   We stayed here during our honeymoon in the Bahamas...we were here for one week and we didn't want to leave. the process of booking was so easy. the owner sent us a cab when we arrive at the airport. we were walking distance to fast food, grocery stores, and across he street from the beach. it was a private get away with a pool and laundry room. the rooms were so clean and we felt at home. I would recommend brownstone any day!

  A Bahama treasure!

  Four of us stayed in the Sunset Loft for a week and very much enjoyed ourselves. Our favorite things about the place: the cleanliness of the property, having a pool, the beautiful decor of the place, safe surrounding neighborhood, close to the beach and bus stop (about 10-15 minute walk), quiet residential area besides some occasional dogs barking, reasonably priced, being able to cook onsite, groceries ready upon arrival (just give Janet your list), friendliness of the owner and staff (Janet and Sophie are both friendly and helpful), has all kitchen tools to prepare your meals, free wi-fi, and taxi arranged for pickup and dropoff at airport for reasonable price ($50 total for 4 people). Things we didn't care for: owner was hard to reach prior to arrival (apparently she was traveling herself, but our plans were not completely finalized until the day before arriving there), the pull-out couch downstairs was very uncomfortable, bedsheets had to be requested for the pull-out couch, the pool was not always clean (we had to ask for a net to skim off the bugs which we did a couple times), the living room was a bit short on furniture (there are exactly 4 seats, we thought having 4 people stay was almost too crowded), and the lighting was a bit dim throughout (several light bulbs needed replaced, but we didn't feel like making a big deal about this).
  
  Overall, this place is well worth it. We would stay here again, although if there's four of us we would probably opt for a larger place of Janet's. We were picked up for a tour and all the people in the van were jealous of our place. They were either on cruises or were staying at atlantis. They thought the idea of staying away from the hustle and bustle was an excellent idea. We highly agreed and did not feel like we missed out by not staying at a big resort. If anything we felt like we gained more of a true Bahamian experience by staying at the Sunset Loft. This was private, clean, and gave us an opportunity to feel more like "locals". We did a lot of walking throughout the week, rode plenty of #10 buses, ate Bahamian food at the fish fry two times, walked the Frommer's self-guided walking tour, rode segways in "the bush", visited Saunder's and Cable beaches, swam in the pool, and of course, relaxed! As four first-timers in the Bahamas we were very happy with our trip and especially our choice of residence. Don't hesitate to give the Sunset Loft a try!
