186402Child friendly, very clean, comfortable, relaxing, safe venue
Left on 06/13/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Houses here are adjoined in a beautiful oval shaped courtyard. We stayed in the Forge which was a three bed house - with one bedroom and ground floor and two on first floor. Huge kitchen and cosy lounge with wood burner and downstairs wet room had large glass walk in shower. Upstairs bathroom was a good size and had an over bath shower too. Bedrooms were really good size and there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, comfortable and I would highly recommend. There was a small children's play area. a den with air hockey, pool table, small but well equipped gym and television room with videos and Dvds. The site was also only accessed through electric gates which needs a code or key to open so a safe environment could be maintained.
On arrival at our house we were greeted to homemade soda bread, a bottle of red wine, eggs laid on site and other goodies.
The therapist Barbara in the on site spa was fabulous.I enjoyed one of the best full body massages I have ever had and a thorough facial after a skin analysis.
It was also a great location to explore this area's delights, including Bru Na Boinne and Causey Farm and was only half an hour from Dublin and just under two hours to Belfast.
I can highly recommend this property. -

Five star cottages, furnished to a very high standard. Great location for a golf break. Entertained 16 golfers. Play any of the local courses, the courses will all surprise you. Headfort Old Course is very very special. Water on 14 holes. Royal Tara on the door step, a good test of golf.
Guest are made very welcome in Co. Meath golf courses. Good Value for money, green fees from 20 euros.
Good food served in all the clubs.
Try Laytown if you want a great links course. -

we travelled with my parents and our 3 children, 5--8 -12 yrs old.
the accomodation was clean , tasteful and extremely comfortable. there was a welcome basket of food which was warmly appreciated. it was fantastic for the children as there was a very safe playground just outside the apartment on the property. there was also a games room for them next door.
it is slightly out of navan but not far and well worth it in terms of serenity and open views.
transactions were easy , friendly . paula was an excellent hostess and communicated everything perfectly to us . i wished we could of stayed longer.Response from Mrs Paula Irwin - 09/17/2011

This renovated stable overlooking a central courtyard is a beautiful modern spacious home away from home. The kitchen is well-equipped, even with laundry, the main bath is luxurious and the bedroom and living area large and well-furnished. It's a lovely place to stay and the owners couldn't have been more gracious and helpful.
The only issue we had was that cell and internet reception was spotty - perhaps that was related to the volcanic activity at the time? -

Paula Irwin and her team couldn't have been more helpful. There were 35 in our group in an age range from 16 weeks to 71 years. All were adequately catered for from travel cots to a barbeque area. Many of the people were seasoned travellers who like to have their creature comforts and all were mightily impresssed with the high standards and the cleanliness of the accommodation. Paula, and her team, had a very hands-off approach and did not interfere yet were on hand and available at the drop of the hat should we have had any problems. The surrounding country side and proximity to Navan and Dublin offered plenty of scope for filling out days and a visit to Newgrange should be compulsory! The provision of a playground and a well equipped "Den" satisfied the needs of the children and, therefore, the parents. The access to major roads, ports and Airports was essential as were the directions provided which beat Sat Nav hands down!
