We liked the location near the pier for the fisherman husband.The condo was funished with comfortable furniture. There was never a long wait for the elevator. We were on the 3rd floor. There ample linens, dishes, silverware, and cookware. However, We would recommend better reading lighting in the livingroom. The toilet in the hall bath needs attention, and when we went to use a fry pan it had been stored with food in it. We also found bits of food in the bedroom and behind the hide a bed couch. A vertical grab bar near the tub would be a great safety feature. Overall, we had a great experience and would return to the same condo. Navarre is a great location for a relaxing, quiet stay.

Overall our experience at Summerwind Resort was very good. I was a little disappointed with the housekeeping but I am very picky because I am a housekeeper. There were some hairs in the shower and a sock in the dryer and the nightstand drawer still had the prior guests belongings. The skillet was dirty and utensil drawer had crumbs. Our biggest concern was that some neighboring guests were partying pretty loud and when we asked at the reception desk who to report to if it became a problem she said nobody and nothing she could do. The resort is nice and when we return to Navarre we may possibly stay again however I will check into other places just to compare pricing.

As we arrived to the condo, we were immediately impressed with the beach view balcony and by how cozy it felt inside. It was very clean and well equipped for the duration of our stay. We are a family of five and the condo was well accommodated without feeling too small as it can get a little crazy when forced to share bathrooms! Checking in was easy and the location of this condo was within walking distance of the pier/beach.Incredible view for sunrise and sunset. At night, we were able to hear the music from the pier (which they stop playing at 11:00 pm) and it was entertaining.This is our third time coming to Navarre but our first time staying in this condo.The only problem we seemed to have was not having enough pillows. We would definitely book here again!

My husband and I travel to Flordia twice a year sometimes more but we like to just make plans as we go. And with Peterson vacation rentals they are super we have their number on speed dial. I just call and the are always very accommidating. I simple tell them what Im looking for and they always come thru with spectacular rental units. They are the easiest agency we have every used and weve used alot. The residence at Summerwind 302 was fabulous very clean had everything we needed for our spur of the moment visit. We really liked the ease of booking and checking in and out with this rental! The representative was easy to work with. The condo was nice but I wasn't happy with the uncleanliness of the dishes and utensils that were provided in the unit. Everything we used had to either be rinsed or completely washed again. I was also surprised to find a live cockroach in the unit one evening while we were relaxing in the living room area. I am terrified of them and was not as comfortable after that. However, overall it was a pleasurable experience and we had a wonderful time on the beach and at the pool and hope to be staying again soon!!

Booking and check-in were easy and without complications. Door opens with a code instead of key, so no worries about a late check-in after business hours or loosing a key.
The Resort is beautifully located directly at the beach. We had an amazing view of the pier and gulf from the balcony. Balcony was a good size with a table and 5 chairs.
The apartment was clean. Kitchen was very well equipped with large fridge, dishwasher, full size stove, lots of dishes, glasses, pots and pans,and small appliances.
1 of the wristbands and the key to the exercise room were missing on arrival but were brought to the apartment right away when we mentioned it.
There were enough towels and washcloths. A couple of extra blankets would have been nice...but that's our only complaint!
We had a lovely vacation and would love to come back sometime soon.

Our unit was well kept and very clean, location of Summerwind is great for the beach, especially if you like getting up early to walk and shell. easy walk to the pier and a couple places to eat. Pool area was well kept and clean too, nice boardwalks to the beach access. would stay here again in a heart beat!

We were locked out of our room twice. The first time was when we extended our stay by 1 day and we were given a new code and then all of a sudden neither code worked. When returning from the beach we were locked out of the room, had to go down to the office and they called you for us and we got another code. When packing to leave, prior to 10 a.M. we were locked out of our room again and were delayed leaving because we had to wait on another code to get the remainder of our things.

We enjoyed our stay in the Summerwind Resort. The condo had plenty of room for our family of 4, the kids loved the bunk beds. The beach area was very nice and we loved walking on the pier. Overall the room was nice, there were several light bulbs out though and the comforter was itchy. The hot tub and pools were clean and we spent a lot of time there. If you're looking for a "relaxing" play to stay this is it. However, if you enjoy a lot of activities and variety of places to eat, you will have to drive to another city.

The unit was nice. The bathtub needs updating and the drain was incredibly slow. The curtains in the bedroom should be blackout and hung on a conventional wrap rod, rather than on a straight rod. I also thought the lighting was less than good. It was almost impossible to read in the living room at night and both bathrooms had bad lighting for 'make up' application. We had a great time and the location was perfect. The view was beautiful.

The condo was impeccably furnished,but best of all was the view! The gulf was beautiful, and the sound of the waves lulled away every care. Did find bed coverings and funiture pillows in need of cleaning, but I'd rate cleanliness at 7/10. Cleaning fees charged were excessive, especially since the unit wasn't pristeen, but overall, our 5 night stay was very relaxing and I'd definitely return :=)

Our stay at Navarre beach was absolutely wonderful.The condo was immaculate and very nicely decorated..the view was unbelieveable..and the free beach set up every day was totally relaxing...great time of the year to be there...no crowds.We had a great time and would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Summerwind Resort is one of the better places to stay.
Its quiet and it has a very beautiful view of the ocean. The interior of the room was very nice and up to date. We loved it and will continue to stay here when we come to Florida. -

We would have really loved to have checked in before 4:00 pm. We arrived in Navarre around 2:50pm and I called to see if we could by chance get in and we were told "no check in before 4:00". I really think Dale Peterson Vacations needs to rethink their 4:00 pm check in time. Other then that, we loved the 3rd floor unit.

The condo was clean and well stocked for the most part. I was sad to see the condo didn't have a hair dryer. Since most hotels have one these days, we had to go out and buy one. The home was in good condition as well as the furniture. There was even new carpet in the living room. The 3rd floor was perfect! We had a view of the pool and the beach. We were a little sad to see some barge/construction going on for a new pier which was loud at times and blocked the ocean view. The beach was very uncrowded and the weather was perfect! We didn't receive enough pool bands for our entire party but no one checked it. The office was closed when we needed to check out so there was no where to leave the pool bands. The directions to the condo were a little confusing. Even with the negatives, we would like to stay here again.

My husband and I had stayed in Fort Walton Beach six(vacation)years previous and we had visited and enjoyed Navarre Beach but always based our trip in FWB. This year was the first year to visit Florida with our family. We chose to stay in Navarre because of the nice beach area. Staying at the Inn @ Summerwind made our vacation much more enjoyable with the conveniences and amenities. Our stay at the Inn was very peaceful and relaxing. Safety is a concern for our family and our unit seemed very secure. The unit was nicely decorated, clean and family friendly. Our spring family vacation was WONDERFUL! Thank you so much.

Unit #302 East is very nicely furnished with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. We enjoyed our week even though this year from February 20th through 27th it was very cool. Loved walking the white sand beaches even in the rain a couple days. The shells on the beach were great. We wish Navarre had more dinner places to enjoy. The Country Club on Wednesday and Friday evenings does a nice job with their dinner service. Over all a great stay.

The condo was very nice, the only issue I had was that the sheets were not changed and the beds were not made and there were dirty towels left in the bath tub. There was also construction going on that we were not aware of and the cable kept going in and out.

My husband and I were greeted very warmly and efficiently at the office in Navarre. We absolutely loved the condo and the location. It was very clean and well stocked. The living room lamp did not have a light bulb, so that was a little inconvenient. We will surely recommend this location to our friends and family. The noise from the construction on the new pier was ditracting, but I'm sure it will be wonderful once completed.

Weve stayed at summerwind many times in many of the condos usually in the 3 bedroom, but it was only me and my husband so we got the 1 bedroom and it was great. The place was clean with great kitchen and view. Even if you stay in one building you have acess to all pools and hotubs and someone is always out at the beach to give you 2 chairs and an umbrella. You cant beat the beach its gorgeous. i didnt like the fact they were working on the new pier and it was loud every morning but you quickly forget about that when you see that view

Upon our arrival on Friday evening, we quickly noticed a trapped old smoking smell, no hangers, and the carpeting in terrible condition. The B/R and L/R areas are carpeted. The traffic patterns running in both rooms were terribly stained and especially in the living room, it was alomost black. This unit should NOT have been rented in this condition. We were paying to stay, and when you pay, you do expect some level of cleanliness. The next morning I called the 1-800 # and reported my concerns about the carpet and the fact that there were no hangers in the unit. I asked for sheets so we could put them down over the carpet and asked for hangers. I was told hangers are not required in the units(really??). I have stayed at the Summerwind many times and have always had hangers. This DOES need to be required. I was told then that the dirty carpet issue would be reported to her manager. I never recieved any sheets or calls saying that they couldn't bring any. Upon check out, I was told that the manager did get a call and I should have heard back for someone. I was also told that sheets couldn't be put down because they would be stained from the carpet. REALLY!!!! So it's ok that we had to keep our shoes on all weekend so they could keep their sheets clean? There is something wrong with that!! I was also told that the carpet was scheduled to be cleaned Friday before our arrival, but that the carpet cleaners had cancelled. This is where Dale E. Peterson should have arranged for us to stay in another unit. I feel that the 10% discount that I recieved for dirty carpet should have been an upgrade or change in unit at the time of my check in. I can only hope that in the future when I rent at the Summerwind, that I will find it in good, clean condition. This was by far the worst cleaning experiance to date, and yes, we have had others. I pay to have the unit cleaned, it should be that way. A scented candle should also be included in the unit.

Just OK, not a great condo compare with The Inn of Destin and The WaterScape. We have water leak under the sink/dishwasher and the maintenance technician can't fix it.When checked in, the sofa bed was broken and he can't fix it neither. There was dirty towers inside the washer leftever by the cleanup person. There was NO hair dryer in the condo, I called the office and a lady said no hair dryer in this unit. We rent 4 rooms, 303, 604, and 1205. All these 3 rooms have hair dryer and we don't have on in our room#302. I think the lady at the front desk just tried to ignor us. Thus, I am rating this as a poor customer service. There was black mold in the corner of the bath tub. Also, we found that our room door didn't have combination lock . Thus, we have to carry our key all the time whereas other room have a combination code. Go figure that out for inconsitency. Other than that, the room was great. No ther problem and we enjoy our vacation very much.

This was an excellent vacation for our family. We have 2 younger kids, so this was perfect for them. We did not have all the craziness around us like in Panama City. There was plenty to do. The Summerwind was a perfect condo. Plenty of room for everyone. We will definitely be going back for years to come.

I have been vacationing at Navarre Beach several times per year for 15+ years, staying in many homes, townhomes, and condos. Until recently when my mother became ill, my parents always came with my daughter and I, packing their bags weeks in advance!
My family and I adore the beauty, peace, and tranquility of this barrier island. I have written several chapters of a novel while staying here. I find my surroundings so inspirational and have even dreamed of retiring here one day.
Navarre Beach is truly God's country, and I do see it as a wonderfully quiet (most of the time) secret!
