We arrive in mid-day and the condo was ready. It was clean and comfortable. We stay 9 weeks so it is important for the condo to be fully operational. The maintenance people were prompt when we had a little problem with the dishwasher. It was fixed and the staff was friendly and efficient;

We liked the location next to the pier & the exercise room. The availability of the beach umbrellas were a plus. We liked the tiled floors but the throw rugs could have looked cleaner.easy check-in & out. The phone staff was wonderful-very helpful & prompt

Summerwind is always clean, comfortable and inviting. I reported that two tvs were not working (and was told it would be two days before they could be attended to), management immediately said I would get a 20% discount on the condo rate. I reccomend this place highly and try to visit once a year.

The condo was right on the beach and the view was amazing.
Loved the elevators being right outside your door and no lobby to walk thru to get to the beach and pool. The condo was comfortable and stocked with everything a person could need. -

The service was great, the condo was fantastic, though I did find the mattress a bit hard, but hey, guess that depends on what your used to sleeping upon. The beach service was good. I had to drag my chairs to the front, so I could see the water for a few days, but hey, that is summertime at Navarre Beach, Florida. I intend to come back to my ole stomping grounds and definitely recommend Summer Wind Condos to anyone that is planning a trip to the beach. The condos are really nice, the pools and hot tubs clean and refreshing, and you cannot beat the feeling of burying your toes in that sugar white sand whilst gazing upon the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Oh, and do not forget the pier that is close by. Got some amazing pictures of the sea life swimming round the Gulf...

This was a great place to stay and not a lot of party people that you have to shelter kids from. We will stay here again without even thinking about it!!! The only thing was the floors were not the cleanest I had ever seen. This was our kids first ever beach trip my daughter age 5 and my sister's kids age 7 and 3. Was a perfect place for a family vacation!!! We stayed in 402 center. The kids loved the bunk beds! If your looking for a quiet place that is on the beach this is great! We were there the first week in May and it was the best!!!

We have always made our vacation spot this general area of Florida..previously we were 'Destin Stayers'...the last two years we have selected Summerwind.
#402 C we found to be very comfortable and well equiped. We travel with a small child and two teenagers... we liked the tile floors as we are tird of the nasty/dirty carpet that resides within other condo units...the rooms were more than we needed..(It's the beach people, who stays in their room?)...There were games available, we really enjoyed watching the kids play a game of Twister :)
I see many complaints about "too firm of a mattress" etc. I really don't think these are reasons to complain- perhaps the owners preference is for a firm mattress.
As with most vacation units I think the cleaning staff could spend a little more time on bathtubs and showers-
I agree that the blinds in both "balcony rooms" need to be replaced...come on people, it's a constant complaint and yes...they are a pain to open and close if you need some privacy while dressing.
In all-402 Center offered another great vacation. We will try to return and ...Yes...re-rent 402 C...we somewhat know what to expect with this unit..and although I tend to be too much of a "clean freak"...this is a room we can handle. :)
P.S. Always great service from Dale Peterson Vacations. Everyone is very friendly, quick to help, and the even give us a discount for being a return renter. -

Summerwind Resort is the perfect beach get-away! The location is great with a beautiful gulf-front view, 3 restaurants, Tom Thumb gas station/convenience store and the Navarre Pier within walking distance. Heated pool and spa, great exercise area.

I normally don't stay at Summerwind Resort when I go to Florida. We usually stay on Okaloosa Island in Ft. Walton Beach, but we decided to try this other condo this year. My overall review would be that I like the other place much better. We had 4 children with us, so the bunk room was very handy. One of the negatives of the condo was that the window coverings in the living room and master bedroom need to be changed. The first night when we closed each of them, a few of the vertical blind sections fell out and we were not able to put them back in. Although it was November, we needed the air conditioner several days and it never seemed to cool. Also, the hot water was never hot...it was luke warm and cool most of the time. The beach was very narrow and there is a steep drop off down to the water. The "quiet time" hours were not observed by the adults at the hot tub a couple of nights, and since our unit was directly above the pool, it made it difficult to sit on the balcony and not be disturbed by that.

My family has been renting with Dale Peterson for many years, the only problem we had on our trip was due to bad weather we wanted to extend our checkout time and I found other agents were more accomadating then Dale Pterson and offered discounts for not cancelling

We booked this unit last minute and were very pleased with the condo and service from the rental agency. We traveled with our 4 daughters. The unit was clean and very well stocked with anything you could need (including many games, cards and books). Our younger daughters loved the bunk room and the older daughters loved their own master suite. The views from the balcony were awesome. Both king beds were a little firm for all of our tastes but after the first night, we got use to them. The unit was furnished very nicely. I would recommend updating the window covering. We did have to contact maintenance for the aC unit as the condensation was leaking on the floor but the unit cooled fine and they responded promptly. The only other issues we had were the LR tv had no sound and the door combination changed 20 minutes earlier than our 10 am checkout time. The complex was quiet and well kept and the beach and gulf were beautiful. The beach did drop off steeply in some places only to level out farther out. Overall, we really liked this unit and complex and will probably return in the future.

The ammenities of the condo were great, but the master bed mattress was way too firm and the vertical blinds did not keep the early morning sunlight from coming in. I would replace them with something that gave more privacy. We had fun walking the beach and finding seashells and meeting new people.

The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. My sister could not say the same for the king size bed in the back bedroom. The air conditioning was broken when we arrived and it being a weekend, was not repaired until Monday. Luckily the unit had fans and it was not that hot in april. We did not use the pull out couch or the bunk room. The kitchen was nicely equipped. As with all these units, the vertical blinds were broken. The balcony offered a great view of the beach and ocean. The tall balcony bistro chairs though did not invite a relaxing stay out there. This unit included beach service which I loved. I didn't have to drag my chair to the beach and there was the umbrella available when we needed shade. The beach itself was nice, but there was quite a drop off to the ocean. I know this was built up this way to discourage erosion, but the unevenness made walking along the shore difficult.
The location was good and bad. Being that is located between Pensacola and Destin, there was not a lot of traffic. Good thing since the causeway to get to the beach is only two lanes. There may be a slight backup in the evening when everyone was headed out to dinner. Otherwise, the trip was pleasant. There is a grocery store and a SuperWalmart close by. There are also several local restaurants, but you have to go to 20-30 miles toward Destin or Pensacola to get to a chain. There is a definite trade off being in a quiet location and being in a convenient location.
Aside from the air conditioning, the worst part of my trip was the reservation. Ours was a twelve hour car ride. When we were four hours from our destination, we received a call that the room we had reserved was not available. The previous tenant was refusing to check out insisting their stay extended through Sunday. These are the accommodation we were placed in and they were identical in floor plan. There was some kind of loud fan on the roof ot the canopy that went on all night once -

Perfect stay, no check-in, just go to the room, enter the code and start your vacation! Well equipped unit, for 2 couples you have the ability of each couple having a private bath. Walk to the Pier and 3 bar and grills. Great for bicycling and walking. Dale Peterson is a great company to deal with!

Took three days to have broken sliding door handle repaired and maintenance did not return with bulb for light over stove. When I rented, I specifically asked about "wi-fi"; was told it was "free"...no wi-fi information in the apartment, no cable, no instructions, and Chris (on call person) did not know the security key to access the wif-fi network for Summerwind. Refrigerator has broken shelves, crisper drawers, and freezer shelf. Maintenance and leasing did not score well with me (I am a property manager myself); overall, the apartment and location were just what I needed and we enjoyed the week very much. Onsite staff kept the site clean and the pools were well maintained.

We stayed at Summerwind Resort 703 East. We loved the condo, and the view from the balcony. The condo had absolutely everything that we would need for our stay. We enjoyed the pool area, and the beach. We did have some seaweed for a couple of days, but it cleared up, and we had the most beautiful clear water.
We got a free beach set up with our rental. This was a bonus, since the chairs are $25 a day!
I would recommend this condo to others who love the Gulf as much as we do.

There were only a few things I would have changed - for our 6 night stay there were only a single roll of toilet tissue provided for each bathroom. Most hotels ( I realize this was not a hotel) provide an extra roll for even less nights spent there. Also the dishes in the cupboards were not clean and I know that is the responsibility of the previous tenant - but the dishdrainer under the sink when I pulled it out to use it had horrible brown liquid all over it (I think it was water that had sat on it for way too long???) Also there was no internet cable - the keyless door entry was wonderful - loved that

When we arrived in the unit first thing I noticed was that it was dusty,then got to looking and noticed hair ball on the floor. I went to master bath there wasn't any toilet paper,lavatory fixtures were dirty,this really got me to looking,I then went to kitchen there was dried food in sink,got a cup to get a drink of water cup was dirty,several other pieces of dishes had dried food stuck on them. This unit was supposed to be clean. I called main # placed on hold for a few minutes was told the manager would call me back,she did I told her the problem,she said it was clean,I said no it wasn't,she said maybe there was a different in opinion.anyway she came over after she closed the the office and cleaned the unit. This should have never happened,we should have never been placed in a dirty unit and then asked to wait for some one to clean it. this speaks poor of Dale E Peterson,whom I rented from before,but will think twice before doing again.

We were moved to this unit from another because the A/C unit in the other condo did not work. We got there late in the evening thinking the A/C would eventually cool but it did not. We called 2 numbers the next day and was unable to reach anyone and have not had any return phone calls.

Our stay was the greatest!! We booked online and every step of the way, you guys were there!! Your customer service reps were so friendly on the phone. Our condo was fabulous ~ fully furnished with everything we needed, down to the nets we used to collect our seashells! This vacation was a very special time for my sisters and I . Our youngest sister recently underwent extensive surgeries, chemo and radiation for cancer. Our Florida trip was planned for her. She just found out she was cancer-free days before we left for Florida!!! What a gift from God!! So, Thank you for making everything so care-free for us! arrived in navarre on a sunday called the toll free number and the lady was very very helpful and nice. she called a lady to help me and then called me back to tell me someone was on the way to open up and book me and my wife a condo. 5 min later a very nice lady came and checked us in. this is the best i have ever been treated renting a room or condo.just 5 star service.thanks very much for the service i recived. the condo was great loved the view also got to watch the peir being built. this is the fifth time staying with dale e peterson vacations

We had a great time as a family. The condo was clean and everything worked good. Access to the beach was easy and the umbrella/chair service worked terrific. We enjoyed an evening in Destin, but were glad to get back to the quiet beach at Navarre and were glad we stayed at this location.

Service was great, check in was a breeze as well as the service on the beach - Umbrella and chairs set up and waiting.
The home was very accomodating, I actually brought too much with me.
Location was perfect for my needs on the beach and great access.
The home was very clean which I was really impressed with, since I was traveling with my 3 young children. That being said the least I liked was that the dining area and living area where crammed together and had lots of breakables that I had to watch out for. Also, the washing machine and dryer where very loud. -

When we arrived at the property on Saturday evening (May 16, 2009), the unit was very warm and humid. The thermostat showed that it was 81 degrees in the condo. I called the maintenance people and they had the A/C fixed by 10:00 that night. However, we quickly realized that the unit was VERY dirty. There was black dirt on the floor, the refrigerator had black, almost mold looking stuff inside it, and the bathrooms were disgusting. The toilets had waste still in them. My wife had to go to Winn-Dixie and buy a mop and cleaning supplies before I would put my nine month old in the tub to give her a bath. I was extremely disappointed with our stay in the unit while we were there. It never felt clean. For example I ate all my meals using paper plates and plastic cutlery because I was afraid of the level of cleanliness on the dishes in the unit. The people at Dale E. Peterson were very nice when we told them about the problems and did everything they could to help out, to include reimbursing us some of our rent. Unfortunately we will not be renting at the Summerwind again.

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and this unit. We definitely will come again. The property is conveniently located which allows us access to family and friends in Pensacola, Navarre and surrounding areas. The unit is always clean and neat. It's great because it has all the conveniences of home, allows access to the beach and accommodates eight people with room to roam! Working through Dale Peterson Vacations is a pleasure. Everyone we have dealt with during our three stays here have been friendly and very helpful. We appreciate their efforts in ensuring our stay is enjoyable and trouble free. We definitely plan on returning for future stays. I highly recommend this property and Dale Peterson Vacations for your home-away-from-home needs.

We thoughly enjoyed the accomadations and being right on the beach. The only issue we had was the procedure of picking up the keys from a lockbox outside the realty office late at night. We were four women alone. Couldn't you come up with a safer way to get the keys to your guests after hours? Thank you.

The Summerwind condo was very nice, clean, and well furnished. We encountered no problems with any of the appliances, TVs, DVD player, etc. The view was very nice and the pool was well maintained. The check in/out process went smoothly and there was ample parking. A great time was had by all.
