(Minimum of one week rental required) Naxos Getaway is the perfect choice for your next visit to Greece. Situated on the beguiling island of Naxos, this lovely villa is brand new and offers all the comforts of modern amenities, including air conditioning in all rooms, and Internet connection, Located directly on the sea front, this property offers access to two beaches. One is an easy 5 minute walk from the house. The villa offers unsurpassed sea views. A beautiful sandy beach is located only 5 minutes drive away. The area is protected from seasonal north winds and is located just ten minutes from the marina, enabling easy access for explorin...g neighboring islands. The saltwater pool is state-of-the-art with a continuous filtration system that provides fresh water on a daily basis. A large pergola provides shade on the large veranda and open area. Naxos town is a 60 minute drive away, but provision pick-up and delivery is provided without extra charge. An English speaking manager is readily available by phone. This property accepts arrivals any day of the week.

The house is located in a very quiet place, away from the rush of the cities,... "away from it all". There are no shops, no bars, no discos in the area. It is the ideal place to enjoy nature, to enjoy amazing views, to look at the stars, ... it is the ideal place to stay and relax.

The beautiful sandy beach of Kalando is a 15 minute walk d(or 3 minutes by car ) from the house. Below the house is a so-called "rocky beach" which is an ideal place for snorkeling and is accessible through a path and a steep and very sturdy wooden staircase. (However, children under the age of 18 are not allowed at the rocky beach without a parent's supervision.)

In the area of Kalanto, there is only one small restaurant where you should order the day before, and one taverna offering local pork and lamb chops, French fries, local cheese and Greek salads. The next super market is located in the town of Filoti (30 minutes drive) For your convenience, the house caretaker, after cleaning the pool in the early morning, will organize provisions' service for you (with his own car from the village of Filoti), every other day. This service is provided free of charge.

The road from Filoti to Kalando (27km) is newly paved and in very good condition. However, roads inside the area of Kalando are not paved. The dirt road from the end of the paved road to our house is 2,5 km. This means you can drive to the house with a normal car, but you may be more comfortable with a small 4X4. Information on car rental are available upon request.

The coast around the bay of Kalando is very well protected from the seasonal dominating north winds; this means an ideal place to be explored with a zodiac. And if you hire a 7 m boat, it will be very easy to also visit and explore the small Cyclades opposite. (4 to 6 miles distance). The owner is very well organized to advise you on this matter and eventually put you in touch with several charter agencies.

Included in the rental price: Daily maid service, pool maintenance, provision delivery, Wi-Fi, phone calls.

Transfers from and to the airport are not included in the rate because most clients are hiring a car. The owners are present at the airport upon arrival and departure, in order to welcome you and help with the language.

In case you do not wish to rent a car, taxi service from the airport to the house is 80euro each way.

Naxos Getaway is comprised of two floors. On the first floor is the living room, dining area, well-equipped kitchen (fridge/freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker) and the master bedroom with a queen bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, and a private veranda with table, chairs and extensive sea views. Behind the kitchen is a small, fifth bedroom (with private shower and WC).

The ground floor has three bedrooms, a family playroom, and a room for storage with washer and dryer. The bedroom to the west has a dressing room, a bathroom and a king bed. The adjacent bedroom has a queen bed, a dressing room and a bathroom with bathtub. These two rooms can communicate via an isolating sound-absorbing door. The third bedroom to the east is equipped with a double sofa bed, a children's small bed and a WC/shower. All three rooms have independent entrances and extensive views to the sea. The family room offers a small bar and entertainment center with DVD player and 37" TV monitor.

The so-called "rocky beach" under the house is accessible through a path and numerous stone steps. This may be difficult for people with walking problems. A small, easily accessible beach is just a five minute walk from the villa. When you come back from the beach, there is an outdoor shower for rinsing off before coming into the house.

The island of Naxos is characterized by its Venetian town, the fertile valleys and long, sandy beaches. The influence of Venetian architecture is obvious in the fortified towers scattered on the hillsides. More than 98km of beautiful beaches surround the island of Naxos, all having superb crystal clear waters, ideal for swimming. Most of the villages, more than 64 total, are mountainous with traditional white houses and small narrow streets. Naxos has the highest mountain in all of the Cyclades complex, namely Mount Zas.
