Description from the owner

In recent years 'Montorgueil' has become one of the most animated and stylish district of the capital, with its trendy restaurants and bars, its designer stores and its art galleries.

The streets in this quarter are for pedestrians only: you will enjoy the peace and quiet for dinner or a drink on the terrace of a café.

At weekends crowds of Parisians flock to shop in this area.

A few steps away you can discover the Châtelet and Marais quarters and at barely ten minutes away, the most famous museum of Paris, The Louvre. The Ile Saint Louis is 15 minutes away, with its famous Notre Dame cathedral.

      Location - amazing
      apartment - amazing
      attitude of staff - amazing

Honestly, I cannot fault this place. Yes it is small, but it's all you need if you're a couple. I have been to stay there twice now with my partner and we cannot fault it. Everything is incredibly high spec and good quality and the room is very well-designed. Definitely coming back.

      Schöne Wohnung mit zentraler Lage

Left on 12/03/2012 for a stay in November 2012

Left on 11/17/2012 for a stay in November 2012

      Great location, good value

Left on 10/09/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We stayed for 4 nights in September at this flat. It is very close to the metro, shopping and restaurants. It was also only a 15 minute walk to the Louvre and 20 minutes to Notre Dame. It is also slightly off the tourist track, which is nice.

The flat, itself, was clean and well appointed. There are laminated instructions on how to use all the appliances (except the microwave/convection oven) and Jeremy was very friendly and helped us get settled quickly.

We had almost everything we needed, except toilet paper. I feel that if you are staying somewhere for more than a night or two, there should be extra toilet paper provided. Instead, I was told that one roll was sufficient and if we needed more, we had to buy it ourselves. Of course, we had to buy a package of six rolls, of which we only used one. We left the rest behind. To the people who stayed after us: you're welcome. To me, it seems a little cheap to not provide one or two extra rolls as a courtesy.

I think this a good option for singles or younger couples.

      Otherwise, the stay was fine.

Nice flat on a noisy street

Left on 08/22/2012 for a stay in July 2012

I stayed in this flat for 10 days. I checked in early (cost a little extra) and that went well- as soon as I got there from the airport, someone was there to let me in. The television and WiFi did not work when I got there and that took some time to get sorted out, and the water from the taps and the shower stopped flowing periodically, but only for a few days. The apartment is on the top floor (6th) and there was almost no noise from other tenants during my stay. The noise from the street was very bad though, even at that height, usually from about 7 in the morning till about 6 or 7 at night. I am a small single woman and felt pretty safe walking in the neighborhood. I would suggest not to walk in the direction away from the Seine as I took a wrong turn and ended up going that way- it seemed kind of scary and I would not have wanted to walk through there alone. I used the Metro daily- there is an entrance just around the corner, very easy to get to. There is also a Monoprix (for americans, this is like Target) just around the corner and down a block, as well as a convenient pharmacy. I didn't eat at the closest cafes, so can't review them, but there are places that are within a few minutes walk. There's also a grocery store about 10 minutes away.
As for the apartment, it was very comfortable for a single person. The refrigerator and stove worked well; there were pans, dishes, flatware, but no condiments for cooking, not even salt. I don't know how this might differ from other vacation rentals. There is a front loading washing machine- if you intend to use it, remember to bring appropriate detergent or to buy some at the Monoprix. My socks got dirty inside the flat- I would say that is one area that might be improved- the floor didn't appear to have been mopped before my stay. The bed is very firm- this is apparently the standard- but comfortable, and the linens provided were sufficient for my stay during July. I did have some sort of reaction to the pillows- after the first night I woke up with severe pain on my ears and nose, and looked like someone had hit me in my sleep. I have no idea what that was about but it got better once I took the pillows off the bed. The shower was nice (but one of the lights in it wasn't working so it was a little dark). Unlike in a hotel, there were no tissues, no bar of hotel soap (luckily I had brought my own soap) and only a partial roll of toilet paper- be prepared to purchase some.
All in all, this was a good choice for my visit to Paris, and I would rent again from Sebastien, who was always very accessible and friendly when I had questions prior to the trip.

      Very Good

Left on 07/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012

The service was fabulous! All emails were answered very quickly, which I appreciated and in a professional manner. We were met at the apartment by Jeremy and he was very nice and informative. Location was good, there was some street noise, but it was okay. The recommendation i'd give is to place a floor fan in the apartment. Since there is no aC available. One night we had to close the windows due to rain and had no air flow, so it became a bit stuffy. But location was great for the metro and restaurants.

      Stylish Studio in Great Location!

The apartment was very clean and had everything necessary to make for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed being so close to the metro, Monoprix, and all the great cafes and restaurants. Sabastien and his team were wonderful and always quick to respond when a question arose. Thanks for a very nice stay.

Loved our stay at this apartment. It was clean, modern and has everything you need. Jeremy was waiting for us when we arrived. He made the check in process extremely easy.
The location was great! We walked everywhere! (even one evening from Montmartre). It was also closed to Strohn bakery on Rue Montorgueil. And the monoprix was just around the corner.
Would definitely recommend staying there again!

Quiet, top of the line apartment in a "commercial" area of Paris

Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Check in went well - we paid extra for the 10am check in and it was worth it after flying for 8 hrs .

There was construction going on in the hallway- a lot of dust and debris, but they were quiet and did not start until after 9am and finished by 5:30Pm-when we were out of the apartment. The set up and fixtures in the apartment were terrific- great kitchen utilities (unused); great bathroom and shower; wonderful sleeping nook- so quiet at night with the windows wide open.

The neighborhood was very safe, quiet - not residential, but very close to Montorgueil Street and a short walk to the Marais district. It was also walkable to all the museums and churches etc- on the Left and right bank- never took a cab or used the metro. It was perfect for us- not too much action on the streets at night but easy to find restaurants, cafes within a 10 minute stroll

We really liked the apartment for sleeping and relaxing in the late evening. There was nothing to dislike (if the construction is completed)- we could have had nice breakfasts and coffee in our place, but with all the wonderful cafes and bakeries within a 10 minute walk, we never did

      Amazing!!

Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in March 2012

We had the best 4 day stay at this apartment. Coming from the Gare du Nord the apartment was easily accessible with a short Metro trip - and the apartment was less than 50 metres from the Metro station too!

The hosts were excellent, they gave us extensive guidance to the apartment and local area and were very accommodating. The apartment is in a very convenient location, the whole city is within easy reach with the Metro, or a walk into the heart of Paris.

The apartment itself was amazing. Recently refurbished, the decor was very modern and tasteful, and the apartment spotlessly clean.

We enjoyed our stay here immensely and could not recommend this apartment more!!

      Comfortable and close to everything

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Sebastien and his team were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble ( Remi brought us a spare key at 11.45pm after we had a mishap with the door keys). The apartment is accessed by lift so no stairs to climb ... A blessing you will appreciate after walking the streets of Paris and going up and down the access steps in the metro. The apartment has a couple of large windows in the sloping roof which let in lots of light and allow you to look at the night sky from your comfy bed. The sloping roof reduces the real living area of the apartment but can be used to store bags and has both a low bed and a large coffee table with a couple of chairs situated under it so it's reasonably practical. Probably the biggest issue for anyone with limited mobility is that access to the side of the bed under the sloping roof is awkward. You basically have to shimmy down the bed or move your partner. The location is a real plus. It's about 100 meters to the metro and only a few blocks to a couple of walking streets with a big choice of restaurants etc.

Amazing studio appartment - with finishing throughout to the quality of a swish 4* hotel, in my view, and the staff who met us to provide the key and talk us through the flat were incredibly friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the flat and the organisation. Totally exceeded all our expectations.
