Very good location for this apartment in the popular area "Montorgeuil" where you will find lot of restaurants, café, bakery, pastry, cheese shop, cellar... 15 minutes walking from the Louvre, Notre Dame, 15mn Opera Garnier, Galeries Lafayette. A lot of metro proximity, Bonne Nouvelle line 8 and 9, line 4 Strsbourg St Denis sentier line 3.

650df The apartment (50m2) fully renovated in 2010 there is a bedroom with double bed (on court), small room with single bed, living room with sofa bed. Well-equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, microwayve, oven, dishwasher. Bathroom with bath, a washing machine.

  Our flight to Paris was delayed, we were late by 4 hours. Arriving at 7pm rather than 3pm.
  Our instructions from the "owner" were to call when we arrived at the airport, she would meet us at the apartment to let us in.
  When we called from the airport the "owner" said she left the door key in a plastic box, near the apartment door.
  Upon arriving at the apartment we entered the front door after entering a keypad code.
  This led into a corridor and then into an outside courtyard.
  There were 3 entrance doors leading to stairwells, we didn't know which stariwell our apartment was in, the apartments aren't numbered.
  
  I left my wife and son and daughter in a cold, dark courtyard and called the "owner" from a pay phone a couple of blocks away, she answered and said there was a key beside the door in a plastic box.
  When I arrived back at the building my kids had figured out that the lights were on a timer, and you had to keep pushing the button every few minutes.
  They had gained access to one of the stairwells by following in other tenant.
  I checked in and on all of the plastic boxes I could find, but these were cable and telephone boxes, nothing else.
  I walked back to the payphone to see if I could contact the owner again.
  
  We were getting tired, it had been an hour and half since arriving at the apartment with 2 jet lagged children.
  
  Luckily for us, a tenant who had just arrived home knew which apartment was ours, it was in the stairwell at the back we hadn't been able to get into yet.
  
  Outside of the apartment was a small metal lock box with a 4 digit combination.
  The helpful tenant used her cellphone to call the owner and get the combination, so we could get our key.
  it was the wrong combination!!! and she would have to call "Franck"
  (the real owner) to get the combination!!
  It took us 2 hours, with help from kind strangers to get in the front door.
  
  Franck showed up promptly for his money in the morning.

  Dear Mr Flett, I’m terribly sorry that you had such a bad experience arriving at my apartment. But you didn’t mention here that I’d been waiting for you for two hours outside the apartment as the day before you wrote me that your arrival time at the airport was 12:15 pm. And I didn’t have any news from you till 7pm. Usually if some problems occur such as delayed flights or traffic jams people always call me or send a message. I don’t know why you decided to call not me (as it mentioned in the contract) but the person who helped me during the reservation procedure. I think my instructions would be more helpful. I’m sorry about not mentioning 3 entrance doors leading to stairwells. I didn’t think it was important as we were to meet outside the apartment. We took into account your remark and now we have this information in the contract. I hope that after all you had a great stay in Paris

  Great basic home base

  Had a very easy nice experience in renting this apartment. It was much larger than a hotel with a bed room, living room and small room off the kitchen. Plenty of room to sleep 6 or so. Ii was very basic decor but had all the amenities such as washer, stocked kitchen, lots of closet space. It was off the Bonn Nouvelle area that had plenty of Theaters, Cafe's and Bars. Also central to two Metro lines. I never could get the TV or Internet to work, but I was also to sleepy to ask how to properly use them.
