Description from the owner

In recent years 'Montorgueil' has become one of the most animated and stylish districts of the capital, with its trendy restaurants and bars, its designer stores and its art galleries.

The streets in this quarter are for pedestrians only: you will enjoy the peace and quiet for dinner or a drink on the terrace of a café.

At weekends crowds of Parisians flock to shop in this area.

A few steps away you can discover the Châtelet and Marais quarters and at barely ten minutes away, the most famous museum of Paris, The Louvre. The Ile Saint Louis is 15 minutes away, with its famous Notre Dame cathedral.

      Home away from home

Left on 04/13/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We stayed in Paris for 9 nights at this very cute apartment. It was great to have a kitchen and an all-in-one washer/dryer so that we could do laundry. This allowed us to pack light for our trip. We didn't cook during our stay but it was nice to have a refrigerator to store some beverages, breakfast foods and snacks that we purchased from markets in the neighborhood. The area is not touristy so it is very quiet in the evenings and on weekends. Most importantly, the area is very safe. There are several metro stations to different subway lines that are a short walk from the apartment so the location is extremely convenient. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable so we were able to get good rest after all the walking and sightseeing. The apartment is small as is the case of most apartments in big metropolitan cities but it was very comfortable for the two of us and we really enjoyed our stay. I contacted several rental properties for this trip but Jean-Philippe and Jeremy were the most responsive and professional out of all of them. This is a great alternative to staying in a hotel. My only recommendation for improvement is to install some towel bars in the bathroom as we had difficulty finding a place to hang our wet towels. It looks like there was a bar behind the bathroom door previously but it had dislodged so a replacement is in order. Otherwise, we had a fantastic time staying in this home away from home!

      cosy, compact and clean apartment

Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We arrived one day late because of weather/Eurostar troubles, but LivinParis were flexible and accommodating.

The local advice given by the guy who handed us the keys was very good.

The apartment itself has an excellent and hot overhead shower and was clean and well appointed.

It is located very centrally and is walkable to some of the main sights - there is a metro station literally around the corner as well as another one a block away with a line straight to the Gare du Nord. There is also a bus stop around the corner that takes you straight to the Gare du Nord.

On another note, this is my fourth visit to Paris in a decade and although my French is passable, this time the French in general were very gracious in speaking English and being helpful to us when we needed it. I was almost overcome!

      Nice apartment and location

Left on 01/29/2013 for a stay in January 2013

My daughter and I stayed for three nights at the apartment in January 2013. The apartment is located on a very narrow side street and there is a small inner courtyard. The apartment was small as expected, but clean and comfortable enough for the two of us. The location was good, close to the metro and lots of restaurants and stores. The service we received through the rental company was very good. Although on the check out day, there was a repairman who showed up around 9:30 when check out was not until 11:00. Due to the language barrier, we were not sure why he was there. We enjoyed walking down to the Louvre and on rue Montorgueil. Easy access to the metro got us to the other sites around Paris. The washer/dryer unit was great for us to do some laundry while we were there. Overall, it was a good place to stay while visiting the city.

Close to Montorgueil--a food lover's paradise!

Left on 01/17/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We've stayed in Paris before in far fancier establishments, but the location of this apartment is its finest feature. One is so close to the musueums and montorgeuil street.
It is difficult to see how 4 people could stay here because there is no door between the living room and bedroom, but it worked for me and my husband.
We felt very safe in this location.

      Clean, quiet and compact apartment

Left on 11/22/2012 for a stay in August 2012

It was small as expected but compact and with the right amount of amenities inside and outside of the apartment. It is less than 100 metres walk from the Sentier Station and less than 400 metres to the Montorgueil Market and supermarkets in the vicinity. It is not the tourist part of Paris but near to the tourist part which makes it convenient. The washer could be better with an attached dryer. Otherwise I was very happy with my 10-Daystay. It fits right for 2 adults and 2 kids or 2 adults.

Great location, price, and friendly service

Left on 11/17/2012 for a stay in November 2012

The best place I've stayed in Paris yet for it's location, price, security, cleanliness. It's located in a quiet street, 5 min walk from the Metro station, a short walk to trendy cafes and restaurants, a grocery store around the corner.

Jp and Jeremy were friendly and easy to deal with. Highly recommended for an alternative to a hotel for 1-2 people

      Wonderful stay

Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We had originally booked the studio but due to a maintenance problem, the management quickly allocated us to the suite before our arrival with no extra charge. The whole process of booking was easy & this was my first time staying in a holiday rental as opposed to a hotel. We were arriving late evening and also leaving in the evening but we were accomodated with a late checkin & checkout for only a very small fee. Jeremy who handled checkin etc was very friendly & helpful.

Excellent use is made of the space (which isn't massive but this is to be expected in any large city). The suite had everything you could need including an iron, washing machine, microwave, WiFi etc. The suite is 1 minute from the nearest Metro and there are lots of restaurants, cafes etc in the area.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in a great location for a reasonable price.
