Set on 4 acres of beachfront land, this villa has two spacious master bedroom suites and two smaller bedrooms. Each has breathtaking views, western-facing terraces perfect for sunsets, gorgeous canopy beds, and other special furnishings. Below is a 1000 foot long private waterfront with many "hideaways" where it is easy to enjoy seaside seclusion. The site opens to the half mile long Bluefields Beach.

Architect-designed and lauded as exceptional, this distinctive villa was completed in 1991. In building The Hermitage, major emphasis was put on using local workers and local Jamaican materials (stone, marble, mahogany, cedar) to...Read more

      A week in paradise

Left on 02/27/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We planned a trip to Bluefields Bay Villas for several years with another couple who are dear friends. Finally, our week arrived in February, 2013. We could not have possibly planned or dreamed ahead of time what we were about to encounter.

First, the setting. We stayed at the Hermitage where everything was so beautiful and perfect it has redefined my ideas on decorating my home. Loved the easy elegance and antiques, something you don't usually associate with a home at the beach. The home and patio are perched looking right down onto the water and we spent every evening enjoying drinks and appetizers watching the sun melt into the ocean. After dinner, we retired out to the same spot, and studied thousands of stars and counted the shooting stars into the double digits.

The food was superb, We tried many interesting, delicious new fruits, and local Jamaican cuisine. We enjoyed the selection process for each meal, the day before, trying to decide how to taste all that Bluefields offered. And there was a lot.

Our excursions were delightful: YS Falls, Black River crocodile cruise, horseback riding on the beach, the orchid farm, hiking in the hills with Christopher, our guide, in-room massages and of course the delightful jerk chicken lunch on Wednesday.

But truly a highlight of our trip was meeting the people who cared for us and served us like kings and queens. We fell in love with Marvin, Sharon, Rose, Carmen, Percy, Christopher and more. What gracious and kind people who cheerfully ensured our every need was met. Often times, they thought of things before we even realized we had a need. They truly were the foundation for a week in paradise that will never be forgotten. Thank you for providing such a beautiful and relaxing spot in the world. We will be back.

      Perfect vacation

Left on 02/22/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We are from Europe and visited "The Hermitage" villa in January 2013.
      This was a wonderful vacation!
It was our first trip to Jamaica and our stay at Bluefields Bay has contributed to this impression in a unique and special way!
We liked the friendliness and professionality of the whole team: butler, cook, house keeper, beach guys etc.
There was nothing to complain about actually and all of them did their best to make our vacation perfect and unforgettable!
Our butler has even arranged special last dinner for us near the beach.
We stil miss the Bloody Mary's he made for us!;)
We definitely recommend Bluefields Bay Villas to all our friends and all people who plan to visit Jamaica.
We want to say to the whole team: thank you for your warm reception and excellent service!
Absolutely, if we will come next time to Jamaica then our destination will be one of Bluefields Bay villas!

Perfect private spot to relax and be spoilt ! The location is beyond words, with absolutely beautiful evening sunsets, and a beach that is silky underfoot. We loved the service on the beach and it mirrored the discreet and cordial service in the house. The joy of the property is that you feel so private and yet not shut in as there is so much space around. We visited all the other houses and decided we'd definitely hit the jackpot with The Hermitage ! Loved all the chinaware and beautiful silver pieces: family photos: and great full bookcases

      Luminous, Lovely, Lucious Jamaica

Left on 10/26/2012 for a stay in September 2012

My four day stay at The Hermitage of Bluefields Bay Villas was genuinely divine. The location of the villas on the undeveloped south side of Jamaica is incomparable. Here, you will truly experience a sanctuary and retreat with the utmost in amenities. The staff is concerned with your complete well-being; they are attentive and caring.

Each day brought a new experience, whether swimming in the pool, relaxing on the private beach, snorkeling around the cove or on a private boat to the coral reef. If you're interested in a bit more adventure, the staff can arrange a boat tour of the spectacular mangroves on Rio Negro which feature a glimpse of saltwater crocodiles. Even more engaging is a trip to YS Falls where, if you're brave, you can venture into the rock pools.A beautiful swimming pool is an option there, as well.

The cuisine at Bluefields villas -- breakfast, lunch and dinner -- is outstanding. The menus are created for both the adventurous and simple palates, with a focus on fresh ingredients and Jamaican cultural dishes. The accompanying wines were perfect. If rum punch, champagne or martinis are your pleasure, they're all available. Meals are served with a variety of crystal, china and silver -- colonial style. It's genuinely a royal experience.

The Hermitage villa itself is an outstanding bit of architecture. The rooms are open to the fabulous Jamaican air, perched on a cliff looking over the ocean. You will enjoy stunning views while surrounded in absolutely lush landscaping. Bedrooms are air conditioned and can be closed in the evenings for a comfortable night's sleep. The owners have been collecting colonial Jamaican pieces for many years and the appointments for this villa are exquisite. The art and furniture in every room is remarkable. Bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy and luxurious.

It's almost impossible to pick my favorite memories about Bluefields villas, however I feel the wonderful staff, the private location of the accommodations, and its physical location on a perch overlooking the undeveloped coast, made this getaway unforgettable. Do yourself an immense favor and visit this first class haven if you get a chance.

      Most relaxing vacation ever!!

Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Staying at Bluefields Bay Villa was a great choice for a relaxing, laid back vacation. We were greated by a caring staff that took very good care of all our needs. The food was very fresh and prepared wonderfully. We were introduced to some new foods but also had lots of foods we already loved. The beach was beautiful and because it has its own private beach we had quiet time to ourselves. The rooms were spacious and opened up for a great ocean view. We spent time relaxing on the beach, in the pool, snorkeling and kayaking. This was definitely the most relaxing vacation we have ever had and we plan to visit Bluefields Bay again.

Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Our family recently spent a wonderful week at this awesome villa in Jamaica. The spectacular views, amazing foods and fantastic staff made this a very memorable family vacation.

We felt relaxed, realized some quality family time with each other while never wanting anything else while we were there.

Kids keep on asking me when we are going back :) We look forward to our next visit, maybe with extended family in a few adjacent villas. Thanks for a wonderful time.

it may be the best of the best...

Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We're a large family (my wife and I, our five daughters and our grandson), and we love nothing more than a Caribbean vacation. We're frequent vacationers to the British and us Virgin Islands and we've even explored some Mediterranean. We're delighted to say that our recent stay (July 2012) at The Hermitage at Bluefields Bay Villas was exceptional and immediately became our top spot. Service was terrific, the food was great, and the beauty and warmth of Jamaica was evident from the first "yeah mon" to each and every sunset to the lush, green surroundings. The villa was well appointed and comfortable for everyone, and it was even more beautiful than the photos on the web. There was plenty to do for the whole family, and while we enjoyed an excursion to YS Falls that was terrific, we were very content to spend most days at the villa (pool or beach? rum or beer? seafood or meat? these were the tough decisions we wrestled with daily...). We also enjoyed kayaking and an early morning hike supervised by one of the staffers. This was a truly amazing destination and I'm quite sure we'll be back again.

      Treated like Vips!

Left on 12/16/2011 for a stay in November 2011

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the incredible Hermitage. The villa is spectacular - an awesome architectural design - and to be surrounded by the most beautiful grounds and sea made our stay one of the most unique vacations we have had. On top of that, we were treated like royalty by a staff that was kind and caring. We were delighted to have the chance to meet the owners, as well as other quests at a sunset cocktail party.

The highlight of our excursion day was definitely YS Falls. Again, we were treated like Vips with a personal tour by Ninja. He took my hand and I was able to really experience the falls without falling in!
Percy, Marvin, Sharon, and Rose made our stay so memorable and relaxing. We hope to return before too long.

Our group enjoyed an idyllic stay at this luxurious villa, with its charming antiques, stunning palatial views, ocean beaches, the pampering of estheticians, fantastic food and tropical drinks, and a wedding experience that was spectacular! From the tropical florals, to the wedding cakes beautifully decorated, to the garden party wedding by candlelight with inspiring local foods incorporated, to the dancing by the ocean, we were drawn together in a most memorable way! We loved the staff. They truly spoiled us! We loved their attention to detail right down to the nightly unique towel folds and turn down service... I felt very homesick for Bluefields when we returned to our home...

My now wife and I went to Jamaica in November with our family and friends (to get married). The villas came highly recommended and we now know why. They took amazing care right from the airport. I have seen much of the world and stayed at many all inclusive resorts and what truely sets Bluefields apart from the rest is the amazing staff. The rooms, pool, food, view, flowers and weather.

The staff went way above and beyond my wildest expectation. They made our wedding day a truly amazing experience, especially with the little touches.

We plan on going back for many anniversaries to come and hopefully our friends and family will join us again.

      Simply cinematographicall

Left on 10/06/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Having holydays where the only worry you must have is on the amount of sun block you have to put on, is a privilege you can only find at Bluefields Bay Vilas. We simply adored it and wanted to spend every single moment enjoying ourselves with the wonderful view, the spectacular architecture of the Hermitage designed by Debbie, Braxton's beautiful china, cristal and silverware, which changed in each meal (something that I've never seen in any hotel in the word). It was simply cinematographicall (if there is such a word in english).
It is very difficult to single out what was the best part of our stay, for everything was perfect. Marvin, our buttler, was simply the best, he even knew what we wanted before even asking us, and this was on the second day of our stay! He was so courteous, so educated, discrete and professional, and so was Rose with her incredible cooking (I asked her for 2 wonderful recipes that I'm going to try at home), Sharon with her amazing breakfasts, Maurice who picked us up and helped us when needed, Jermaine at the beach with wonderful Daiquiris, Carmen making sure that no detail was overlooked and programming everything for us and Houston taking care of every single detail. The menus that were served were wonderful with such good taste, healthy, colorful and with diverse ingredients. The beverages simply gorgeous. We are definetly going back. Thank you so much, Debbie and Braxton, for opening not your hotel, but your home.

The staff is over-the-top, fantastic, accommodating, friendly, warm, and helpful. The chef is outstanding. The butler is so nice, and the nannies are fabulous - the kids loved spending time with them. We had such a great experience on our trip. Bluefields Bay far exceeded our expectations. We felt like we were visiting close friends and would definitely return. The Hermitage is beautiful, the beach is great and the atmosphere is casual but elegant at the same time. Each meal was special and the table decorations were amazing. The highlight had to be James' jerk chicken and jerk fish lunch at the Treehouse on Wednesday -- truly delicious.

Our trip to the Hermitage far exceeded our (already very high) expectations. It was my first time in Jamaica - what an unbelievable setting in which to experience it! Jamaica was stunning and Bluefields Bay is serene and untouched. The location allowed for excursions to nearby areas so we had the option of being secluded and relaxed at the villa or being active and seeing the sights. The pictures of the accomodations speak for themselves - the Hermitage was beautifully furnished and constantly outfitted with luxurious touches like fresh flowers, crystal stemware, and a variety of fine china at every meal. We had a blast doing whatever we wanted all day and having our every desire fulfilled by the kind and attentive staff. I can't wait to return!!

Left on 12/20/2010 for a stay in November 2010

After a marvelous stay in the Cottonwood Tree House last year, we returned this year to the Hermitage. We were 6 adults (3 couples). The Hermitage is surounded by tropical trees, has a great swimmingpool and a wonderful view of the bay. There is plenty of space for 6. We had each our private bathroom, balcony etc... The staff was wonderful. The chef cooked us the most wonderful meals. Everything is taken care of. They unpack your suitcases, every room was spotlesly clean and kept clean every single day. A private guard and dogs take care of the security at night. They serve you everything you want day and night. Staff is always present, but never too close. The ocean is wonderful, snorkeling is great, just in front of the villas. We had massages every day and really liked them too.
      In one word: fantastic.

      wonderful family vacation

Left on 08/03/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We loved our stay at Bluefields! We traveled with our three kids (ages 7, 5, 1) and my parents. The trip exceeded our expectations.

The Hermitage is a gorgeous house, designed to allow you to fully appreciate the setting. We loved sitting in the living room and looking out to the pool and the ocean and hearing the birds & lizards at night.

The setting was wonderful - so many beautiful plants and flowers, beautiful landscaping. It was almost magical for the kids to find hermit crabs and lizards. The beach was awesome - plenty of trees for the kids to build sandcastles in the shade. We loved the kayaks. And, it was so cool to find starfish.

The staff was fantastic! So warm & friendly. Our kids loved the nannies (Roanna and Kim). We left our menu up to Chef Jackie, who did an amazing job. James' jerk chicken was incredible! Percy drove us to Blackriver and YS Falls (go see the Falls!) and was so knowledgeable about all the towns we drove through. Dujon was our beach bartender and took good care of us while we were at the beach. The staff was just wonderful!

We got to spend one night at Cottonwood Cottage and have dinner in the Tree House, which was a great experience. Hermitage was definitely my favorite of the four villas we saw, but we really enjoyed Cottonwood and would recommend it to a couple just traveling with their kids.

We hope to return to Bluefields. It was a magical vacation.

      exceeded our expectations!

Left on 07/15/2010 for a stay in June 2010

Bluefields Bay Villas, Jamaica, are worth every penny! 21 family members, from ages 9 to 78 gathered in June 2010 to celebrate a 75th birthday and had the “best vacation ever!” Eight stayed in the Hermitage, (others in Cottonwood and Mullion Cove),a elegant open house, pool on the doorstep and ocean a few steps down through jungly garden. We found the staff unpretentious, friendly, extraordinarily helpful and lots of fun. Want early morning coffee? It’s waiting.. Want stunning table settings with flowers, candles and silver? Every night. Want 3-course dinners or a peanut butter sandwich? You got it! Need yet another beach towel provided on the spot. No, problem, mon! We spent days hanging out in the warm gentle sea water andsoft sand beach, often a drink of some sort in hand. Late afternoon we gathered for Technicolor sunsets, followed by those star-crowded skies only visible in remote places. Yes, you can confer with staff to choose menus, but food was so good we just told staff, “Surprise us!” Kids were accommodated with kid-friendly food and so was our pregnant granddaughter’s delicate stomach. Beautiful accommodations, (air-con if needed in the big airy bedrooms) wonderful ocean with chairs, towels, rafts, kayaks, snorkeling equipment all provided, a United States office staff that promptly and patiently answered questions. It’s a family place if you’ve got family; a grown-up place for a get-away. a most romantic place for a honeymoon or a 50th anniversary. Our 11 year old said it was better than Disneyland; our 78 year old said he was on the terrace; our 20-somethings having been toweled off for dinner were back in the water soon after; our Type a’s admitted never opening their cell phones once! just being . Find a way to go, you won’t regret it!

      Amazing Place

Left on 05/27/2010 for a stay in May 2010

I stayed at the Hermitage with four friends for a week and it was pure bliss. The house is gorgeous, with every room open to the outdoors, filled with light, breezes and sea views. The location is perfect - far away from the overdeveloped resorts, you will not be approached by pesky vendors. Instead you'll be pampered by the staff, enjoy waking up with sweeping views of the sea from your four-poster bed, and be able to really let go of the hustle-and-bustle and enjoy the beach, the sunsets, and the beautifully-landscaped gardens. Not that you will be isolated from the local community. The staff will arrange for you to visit with the local preschool (we brought school supplies and visited with the kids) or other community service. Your driver will also tell you about the local history, culture, and vegetation as he drives you to Y.S. Waterfalls, Negril, or another day trip destination. The food is amazing too. It's been hard to adjust to not having a soup course every night since I've been home. The cook will tailor your meals to your liking - we asked for saltfish and ackee (traditional Jamaican breakfast) and for our dinners a little spicier. Spending a week in Bluefields was a great way to relax, unwind, and enjoy a beautiful beach location. I will definitely be back!

A magical paradise of Jamaican charm and culinary delights

Left on 05/25/2010 for a stay in May 2010

My vacation at the Hermitage was the most wonderful experience ever. From the moment we stepped out of the airport the staff at Bluefields were so helpful and friendly. We were greeted by Percy our driver who was so friendly and eager to share his love for is country and on every adventure that went on with him he provided a wealth of information about the agrigulture, the people and the culture of Jamaica. We arrived at Hermitage and just couldn't beleive our eyes as to the beauty of this magical place. We were greeted with cold beverages. Every meal was set in a glorious dining room with arches that provided views of the lush gardens and turquoise sea, over looking the wonderful pool. Jacqui was our chef for the week and she made the most mouth watering delights, she checked in to see how we liked everything... we sure asked for it when we asked for more spicy and she sure kicked it up a notch with those Jamaican Scotch Bonnet peppers.. yummo! We had wonderful traditional delights like Salt Fish and Akee, Callaloo, Breadfruit, and fresh fruit. definitely try everything!! While down at the beach Dujon our attendent always had a cold beverage ready for us. One day we decided to stroll the whole length of the beach and on the way back, he actually met us half way with a cooler of icy cold Red Stripe. He always went out of his way for us. We loved our excursions to YS falls and Negril. As for YS Falls, the staff at the Hermitage packed us a wonderful picnic lunch which included fried chicken, Jamaican coleslaw, and homemade banana bread. We were the only visitors in the park that had a linen table cloth and napkins donning the picnic tables. At the Hermitage Lawrence our Headman and the entire staff all made us feel at home. They really started to feel like our new friends and it was hard to leave. I highly recommend the Hermitage as it is a wonderful place of beauty, charm, and relaxation. I will definitely be back.

Our party of 7 adults stayed in the Hermitage Villa and had a fabulous week.
The Villa has a gorgeous setting, overlooking a scenic coastline. It's
beautifully furnished and has a wonderful library and gardens. One of the best
features about the Hermitage is it's design; it has wonderful space for
gathering, but also has patios and terraces that allow for quiet time and
relaxation. The staff of the Hermitage was outstanding, they met, and even
anticipated our every need. Our meals were excellent and the chefs were very
accommodating, tailoring menus to meet special requests. The beach was
lovely and was perfect for swimming, snorkeling and sea kayaking. The
Hermitage of Bluefields Bay Villas, will not disappoint; it's beauty, tranquility
and stellar service and amenities will provide you with an idyllic setting to relax
and enjoy a very special part of Jamaica.

This was the first all-inclusive vacation that we have taken, and with all the "what if's" that could have happened, that never did!
The staff, the home, the food, the ambiance, everything was just so warm and friendly. We all felt more at home at the Hermitage, than we do at our own homes in Wa state.
If one is thinking of a vacation to Jamaica, I would HIGHLY recomend the Bluefields to anyone. Before I rented, I did a lot of homework looking into the various homes for rent and the hotels, and I will say that I am very happy with my experience with Debbie, the owner, all the way down to our security system at the Hermitage of four dog's that kept us all completly safe from any harm or unwanted peddler's. THANK'S

      Vacation of a lifetime!!

Left on 10/23/2009 for a stay in October 2009

I cannot describe in words how wonderful our family vacation was to Bluefields Bay! The beauty of this place is beyond my imagination. From the second we were met at the airport, we became family with the staff, which was by far my favorite part of our trip. We wanted for nothing! The food was the freshest, most beautiful, yummy meals I have ever had! I would recommend this vacation to anyone who is need of a relaxing vacation! I will definitely return!

5th Stay at Bluefields Bay Villas

Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in January 2009

The Hermitage 4 weekly visits with family & friends.
Milestone Cottage was our 1st weekly vacation in Bluefields Bay. Needless to say "we love it" beginning from the time we're picked up at the airport and driven to the villas. Owner, Debbie Moncure and her entire staff are wonderful, each work hard to make our staff enjoyable as well as exciting. Villa staff work hard making sure that everything is taken care of for each guest. Meals are outstanding and special care is taken at dinner time with flowers spread out on the table, including the right wine and etc.

Lots to do, if you request it, or just sit back and enjoy the lush grounds, pools and/or beach areas. Evenings are most beautiful with setting sun out in the distance over the Caribbean.

Final note - my wife and I have traveled to Jamaica for over 15 years, stayed at many villas and always seem to return to Bluefields Bay Villas.
It's a very special place for us - we highly recommend that others go see what we've experienced, you won't be disappointed!!

      Spoiled for life.

Left on 10/20/2009 for a stay in October 2009

My husband, 9 month old son, parents, and sister/brother in law just returned from our first visit to Bluefields. I hope it will be the first of many. We stayed in the Herimage, which offered amazing views, beautiful architecture, and unique antiques throughout. We spent a lot of time by the pool [Red Stripes in hand!] and at the beach, using the snorkle equipment and kayaks.

While the setting of The Hermitage was fabulous, the warmth of this vacation comes from the Bluefields Staff. Our family experienced such kindness and love. They introduced us to their food, their homes, their families, their music, and dance moves! But we'll most remember their spirit, and we hope to integrate that into our every day lives.

My husband I were beyond relaxed, even though we were traveling with a 9 month old because of Roanna, the nanny. She handled all of my son's meals, baths, etc. They were always nearby, but he preferred to spend his time with her.

We all cried when we left. The beautiful people of Bluefields will always be a part of our most special memories and prayers. Thanks to all of you.

      The Best Week Ever!

Left on 10/13/2009 for a stay in March 2009

Dear Debbie, This was our 5th visit and was by far our best, since our children are now old enough to truly appreciate how majestic and glorious Bluefields is, and how wonderful and genuine your staff are. We also really enjoyed meeting your other guests, who graciously invited us one afternoon to San Michele. Our meals were fabulously prepared as always. The properties look great, and we enjoyed every beach, swam & kayaked daily. We visited the Basic School to deliver art supplies and books for the beautiful children. We took a challenging morning nature hike; the children went cliff jumping; we enjoyed our trip down The Black River followed by picnic at YS Falls; and revisited Rocklands Bird Sanctuary and had great success feeding finch and hummingbirds. It was all truly paradise, and we dream about our next return.

20 year celebration at The Hermitage

Left on 10/13/2009 for a stay in September 2009

Just arrived back from an incredible seven day stay at the Hermitage. Such a beautiful home and crystal clear beach, but the real attraction was the incredible staff.

Our every need was taken care off and the meals were fantastic! I could go on about the wonderful meals and beautiful sunsets and watching shooting stars disappear into the ocean at night, but the best advice is to stay at the Hermitage and experience it for yourself.

No complaints at all and we're making our pans to get back to this little slice of paradise very soon!

      Absolute paradise

Left on 10/12/2009 for a stay in September 2009

This large elegant villa is cliffside, overlooking the teal blue ocean and a private beach. Four poster beds, beautiful china, fresh flowers, and incredible food made to order. The staff could not have been more wonderful and we felt completely pampered. I have traveled quite a bit and have never been on a vacation like this. We are already talking about when we can get back.

Our Home Away from Home In Jamaica

Left on 10/12/2009 for a stay in February 2009

Our vacation at the Hermitage was very special!

What a beautiful home Deborah has designed & decorated! I loved every room & every view...

The staff was absolutely superb! Last minute efforts were made to secure us a van after I fubbed... That was defenitely the way to go- I
don't know how many times I would've gotten us lost if we were without Percy! He was amazing as a guide through the area for us & his service
at the house was attentive & gracious.

Jackie created such wonderful meals! Of course, we could not keep our chef Nino away from a kitchen (he literally can not take a day off!), so they shared ideas & recipes too. But Jackie's multi course Jamaican meals were divine!

Everything abouth the area of Bluefield's is perfect... It is serene & beautiful, yet alive with the local Jamaican way of life. We loved the
small adventures the area lent us: the caves, horseback riding, Ys falls, Treasure Beach, the Pelican Bar & Little Ochi. The wildlife abounded with hummingbirds, a falcon, stingrays, dolphins & of course the sweet house dogs!

I honestly can say, the Hermitage is perfect!

      Cheers,
Kelley, Nino, Julia, Alessandra, Sara, Gianicola, Luisa & their

8th (maybe 9th?) Visit to The Hermitage @ Bluefields Bay Villas

Left on 10/12/2009 for a stay in June 2009

My first visit to Bluefields Bay Villas was in
September, 1995. Continuing to date, there have
been some 11 (12?)stays at Bluefields, with 8(9)
at The Hermitage, and one each at Mullion Cove,
Cottonwoods Cottage and San Michele. Our service
has always been impeccable, beyond the call of duty! After my wife Vicki suffered strokes in fall
of 2001, we went down in Spring 2002 - this visit
was a truly "healing tonic" and did her wonders.
We just like The Hermitage, as it has a unique
ambiance not possessed by the other properties.
Well maintained, spotlessly clean, the house may
have a "Jamaican Dignity" about it that just
wraps its arms around you when you arrive and
stays close by until departure. No finer staff -
for us, they are our Jamaican Family without a
doubt, providing us with privacy, security,
comfort and reassurance that our STAY was their
Number One priority! Location wise - just getting
a hour away from Mo. Bay is helpful, as we get
to enjoy the REAL Jamaica when you leave the
tourist areas. The amenities are as bountiful or
as few, as you might prefer - occasional day
trips change the routine, but having the benefit
      of uninterrupted CONTENTMENT and SATISFACTION
is all one could ask for. The real value of our
visit is one dollars cannot buy - there is just
      something intangible, intrinsic and personally
fulfilling out of a week's visit. We shall return,
yes, sometime next year if all goes well. Until
then, we chrish those great memories and look to
building new ones with our Bluefields Family.

Most relaxing vacation we ever had!

Left on 10/12/2009 for a stay in March 2009

Our stay at the Hermitage of Bluefield Bays was the best vacation our family of five ever had! The home was more beautiful than the video or pictures. The food and accomadations were 5 star!
What makes this experience so exceptional is the staff at the Hermitage, they are like family.
We plan on spending more weeks at the Bluefield bay homes.
