If you have always wanted that unique quiet retreat away from it all, this is a most exclusive property hidden amongst the privacy of crown land and overlooking the panoramic views of beautiful Kootenay Lake. It is BC's most well kept secret in that it boasts of warmer climates and open waters all year long. The water and air is the purest you will find and the Lake itself is 90 km long and three km wide providing ample space between the two mountain ranges framing it in. With few Accommodation businesses offered in the area, you will enjoy the more personal, natural offerings of these cottage rentals.
Cottage in the Woods is lovely in... the way it is situated a few hundred feet above the water, and has its own private paved road to a gorgeous flat grassy acreage with two well appointed uniquely hand built Homes (which include four one bedroom cottages). The lake views are panoramic from north to south. This property has something very special in that it owns the rights to its own underground crystal pure spring water supply and it is still untouched by interfering energies. There is private access to a full range of beach area below the property with trails that follow the waterfront with no visible neighbours.
The comfortable one-bedroom cottages are semi detached within two buildings on the ample open area of 4.7 acres of lawns and garden space. They come fully furnished and outfitted with a full kitchen, bathroom, living room, master bedroom, sitting areas and comfortable bathroom, decks and outdoor living too. Your first impression is how the Cottages encourage common sense awareness, yet offer embellishments of elegant taste and artistic flare that add that special touch. You will find a difference in each Cottage like the log and stone construction of the Rustic Log Cottage and the Modern Retro Cottage made with stacked log construction, both of which are located in the main building. They share a small wall yet are very private in their orientation. The Barn structure is the other building on the property and the upstairs has been cleverly renovated into The Lofty Barn with a Mexican theme, open vaulted ceilings, a lovely dining area and wood floors throughout. The downstairs, Sunhouse Suite is quaint as a button with all rock inlayed floors and sunlight flooding in through the French windows overlooking the lake view.
All the Cottages are outfitted and decorated with tasteful furnishings and original art both indoor and out. All you need to bring is yourselves and a suitcase of clothes. There is ample outdoor living with barbecues, decks and gazebo's, firewood for the wood stoves, free wireless internet and satellite TV. Be welcomed with a beautiful, breakfast gift basket in the fridge, offering flowers, garden greens and more with an authentic loving touch. Enjoy the simplicity of nature or a day shopping at the famous local Artisans in Crawford Bay. Find the time to explore the area's natural hot springs and small towns, like Ainsworth, Nelson, Kaslo and Creston.

Boswell is a rural stretch of community located along the central area of beautiful Kootenay Lake north of Creston BC. Kootenay Lake is situated in southeast BC, Canada, just 4 hours north of Spokane Washington USA and is part of the famous Selkirk Loop tour which involves a cross-border scenic driving route to explore. Inquire for daily, weekly and monthly rates as i have three accommodations available on theone property and each have different pricing. Also there is a higher rate for summer season than winter season.
We experienced Kootenay Lake for a brief stay at the tail end of the season and found it to be a very tranquil setting and hope to return for a longer stay someday. We stayed in the Retro Log Cottage and found it such a relaxing spot that we didn't venture out much. Our talented artist host was delightful and we became friends. Being surrounded by original art was just the perfect touch for us and we even came home with some of Beth's paintings. The cottage view photos we shared with friends back home had them "wowing" about our special find. The views are gorgeous and the cottages do a great job of bringing the outdoors in. Photos I took of the view from my pillow had friends thinking we were sleeping outdoors. We highly recommend this unique corner of paradise.
