It's on original Andalusian house totally rebuffed into 3 independent and luxurious apartments,
One of them is wheelchair accessible.
If you read the comments from our guests in TRIPADVISOR and in many other sites as well you will understand we can't say such nice things about our own apartments and about ourselves.
Casa Charlotte is located in a typical Andalusian neighborhood.
There are several original tapas bars and fishrestaurants among others. Grocery , bakery, chemist and supermarket are all within 5 walking minutes.
No car needed. (We are living here 12 years without having a car! )

If you are looking to stay in the old town amongst local people you will have found the perfect place. We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment, perfect for a couple, which has a wonderful, large terrace, perfect for breakfast through to a drink prior to bed. This is an incredibly well equiped apartment, even beach towels are provided. Wonderful local shops cater for your every need. Superb restaurants and tapas bars nearby. Frans and Nutee are wonderful hosts and they will advise you on what to do, where to go, where to eat and anything else you might want to know. A stroll through the old town is a delight. If you want to explore further away, the local bus services are excellent. You really do not need to hire a car!

Appartment has really good location, 5-7 minutes for any beach, supermarkets. Many nice restauraunts around. Perfect weather, warm sea. What else required for good rest?

One of the best self-catering apartments we have ever rented. Very comfortable and clean, with lots of closet space and excellent mattresses for sleeping. The kitchen was very well equipped and more than met our needs. The shower was wonderful. Having a washing machine was a big plus, as was the roof-top patio and BBQ. Casa Charlotte is located within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Frans and Nuttee went out of their way to help us with anything we needed and to help us get the most out of our stay in Nerja. Excellent value.

Very hospitable reception by Frans and Nuttee, who do everything to offer their guests a perfect holiday. Very nice and quiet town, still very authentic. The flat is fully equipped and offers a lot of quality (satellite tv, airco, etc.). Books, beach chairs, towels are (freely) available. A lot of restaurants, bakers and grocers nearby. The beach is within walking distance (5 minutes). Situated in a quiet street while the very touristic part of Nerja (balcony of Europe etc) is only a few minutes away.

We stayed here during Semana Santa and jsut loved it. it has absolutely everything you need and the location is great. It is close to the beach and restaurants but also in the authentic part of the town. there are several markets and bakeries very close by and typical Spanish restaurants on the same street! Frans and Nuttee are also available if there are any questions about the place or town. I am thinking about bringing my mother to Nerja next year and this is the place that I would choose to stay.

We normally stay in the ground floor apartment as it is cool and spacious. Even when 30+C outside we have rarely needed to use the air conditioning.
But this year we stayed in the top floor apartment. There isn't as much space, particularly in the bedroom, where the enormous bed dominates, and it isn't as cool, but the air conditioning copes admirably to achieve a comfortable temperature, but the top floor has its own terrace, which is delightful for breakfast and for relaxing in the evening.
Frans and Nuttee looked after us as well as ever, and nothing was too much to make our stay perfect. For those new to the area, for me, the location is superb as the apartments are located in a typical Spanish street, with bars nearby (including tapas), a bread shop on the corner and a 10 to 15 minute walk to town centre, the Balcon and beaches.

casa charlotte is an absolute recommendable holiday apartment. located in the beatiful old city of nerja, casa charlotte is let and managed by frans and nuttee, a very nice couple providing full service in every respect for its customers. the flats are fully equipped, the base apartement is wheelchair-accessible moreover. prices are absolute fair, so what more there is to say than : try it ! you won´t be disappointed.

My wife and I spent 7 weeks at the beautiful Casa Charlotte in December 2010-January 2011. The building is wonderfully located within easy walking distance of everything beautiful in Nerja. In 10 minutes you are at Buriana Beach - or meandering through narrow streets of downtown. Terrific restaurants and Tapas bars virtually a minute away. In the morning - fresh croissants and take home cafe con leche a minute away. Roof top garden of Casa Charlotte offers magnificent views in all directions. A very civilized way to spend your holidays. The apartments are excquisitly outfitted - and if you still manage to find something you absolutely need and don't find in the apartment - your hosts Frans and Nuttee will get it for you in no time. In addition, they both have great sense of humour and are terrific conversionalists. Frans will introduce Nerja to you and his recommendations are priceless. Friend recommended this spot to us and we want to recommend it to you! It is one terrific place.

On our first visit to Spain, Nerja proved the perfect choice. The great blue sunny sky above Nerja was one huge smile accompanying us everywhere during our nine day stay. Casa Charlotte really was part of that big smile, providing us as a family of four with an ideal base on a very nice street within the cosy historical town centre. Frans, the Belgian owner of the property, was very helpful from the moment of our first enquiry about the Casa. He was there to meet us at the bus station and then proudly showed us around our holiday home on the second floor of the Casa. As we found out during our stay, he and his wife Nuttee keep the home in perfect form as to cleanliness and household amenities. His little hall downstairs provides so much tourist information that it is a mini tourist office in itself. Frans was exactly the right host for us, very ably guessing the amount of attention we like best, and providing us with what proved to be a very nice selection of not-to-be missed activities in Nerja. Especially the late night Flamenco dance show at Burro Blanco bar was unforgettable.
We found Nerja to be exactly the easy-going beach resort we were hoping for. Leaving the cold and rainy Netherlands of late October behind, we found ourselves sitting on the sunny Nerja beaches in no time (we liked the small ones near the town centre most) and to our amazement we could even swim in the sea! There still were plenty of tourists around on the streets at night, most of them undoubtedly staying at the hotels and holiday villages strewn about Nerja and its surroundings. But Casa Charlotte is right within the old part of town, in one of those picturesque Mediterranean streets were the local atmosphere is still intact. Staying there gave us that extra bit of 'Spain' we certainly would not want to have missed. The sun, the beach, the picturesque streets of the town centre with Casa Charlotte neatly sitting in the middle: for us it was One Big Smile of a stay!

Casa Charlotte is for me a place like 'coming home'. Everything you need, is present. Even radio and tv-channels like home. When I was there alone it is fine to hear your own language. When the children are with, they like to see the tv-programs like home.
No need of cooking. A lot of restaurants are there. But if you want, the bakery, the supermarket, the typical spanish foodstores are just on the corner. Everything within walking distance. No car needed.
Besides that the owner and his wife are friendly, helpful and enjoyable.
Nerja has beaches, tourist area's (Balcon d'Europe, caves), restaurants, shops, promenade, small passages ...
In a word Nerja, specially Casa Charlotte, is a place 'to be'. A paradise!
