A lovely location to recharge your batteries

Lavender cottage was delightful, with everything necessary to make the stay comfortable. The welcome basket was a nice addition. It was such a peaceful location, and having the little conservatory was a bonus. I would return in the future

Lovely cottage in great location. Fantastic views. Everything you need is there - all the little things that are a pain to pack - salt /pepper/oil & washing up etc plus we arrived to find eggs, milk and freshly baked bread. What a great welcome after a long drive.

      Idyllic

Immaculate cottage with all mod cons and a few added extras. Freshly made bread and welcome wine went down particularly well. Enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and taking in the views across to the North Wales hills. Due to rural location, a car is a must. A very cosy cottage and would recommend to anyone.

      Relaxing little hideaway!

Left on 09/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012

I recently stayed a week at this gorgeous cottage with my husband and daughter. I was having some treatment at Clatterbridge hospital so wanted somewhere convenient but away from the hustle and bustle. This cottage did not disappoint! It was very clean and well equipped with amazing views and a very chilled out feel.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage, with spectacular views over Dee

Left on 03/04/2012 for a stay in January 2012

This is one of the nicest cottages we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed in lots. It's beautifully presented, with comfortable and attractive furniture and fittings, and every little detail has been thought of. The welcome pack is the best we've ever had, and included a bottle of wine, eggs and bread, as well as many other things - everything you need for a relaxing drink when you arrive and breakfast in the morning. It was so nice not to have to rush off to try and buy milk and bread immediately we got there. There was also an amazingly well organised information pack, with details of things to do in the Wirral, Chester, Liverpool and North Wales, all organised into sections in a folder. Binoculars were provided for bird-watching, and there was even a sewing kit in one of the bedroom drawers. The owners have put so much thought into everything.

The location is lovely, with stunning views over the Dee Estuary. There's an all-glass conservatory at the back and we spent a lot of time sitting in there and gazing out towards the Welsh hills and the ever-changing sky. It was really peaceful and relaxing, and there's an Rspb nature reserve almost on the doorstep. The cottage is within easy reach of all the attractions in the area, although we were actually house-hunting at the time and not on holiday, so this wasn't very relevant to us.

Because we were trying to find somewhere to rent due to a job relocation, it was very important to us that we had internet access. When we first read the cottage details and it said the internet connection was via a dongle, we were a little worried that it wouldn't work very well. In the event it worked perfectly, and we also found we could 'piggyback' on another local connection at times. If being able to get online is important to you, you'll be fine here.

We really can't fault the cottage at all; it suited us perfectly and Val and Tony, the owners, were so helpful and friendly. We'd have no hesitation in recommending it to others and the only reason we won't be coming back ourselves is because we're now living in the area!
