Stretch by the Sea is the quintessential vacation rental, perfect for family vacations or romantic get-a-ways. Mere steps from Netarts Bay, our comfortable and cozy home features water views from each of its three levels, natural light streaming into every room, tasteful colors and furnishings, and all the comforts of home with none of the distractions. Netarts is a peaceful community south of Oceanside and west of Tillamook, Oregon, and Netarts Bay is simply a beautiful place to visit.

We're eager to share this wonderful place with you. A nice sandy beach is just a 3-4 minute walk down the street, as is the Netarts boat launch and t...he Schooner, a local restaurant and pub (try the fabulous fish & chips!) The bay itself is fantastic for exploring, clamming and crabbing. The big ocean surf is less that a 5 minute drive (or 10-15 minute walk along the beach) towards Oceanside.

The main (middle ) floor of our house features an open kitchen/living area and a bathroom. Our cozy living room has a wood burning fireplace, a cozy reading nook and a wall of view windows. You can watch the Netarts Bay scene as you cook in our well stocked kitchen. The living area opens onto a balcony where you can enjoy the view and smell the ocean air.

There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor. The master bedroom has a great water view, vaulted ceiling, a comfortable queen bed and serene color scheme. The second bedroom also features a vaulted ceiling, a quality queen bed, fun colors and plenty of natural light. The second floor hall is home to a portion of our eclectic library of books and a reading bench for lazy inside days.

The bottom floor is a den/bunk room. This is where you'll find the cable TV and DVD player along with our other electronics. For sleeping, we have a unique bunk bed built into the wall. The bunk area has 2 levels with a queen & double mattress on each - the bunk area alone can sleep 8 people.

Our cottage is family-friendly. We have games, toys, a small stroller and a pack-n-play crib, a hi-chair, stair gate, etc. There is also a twin mattress stashed upstairs to accommodate youngsters who like to sleep in their parents room. The enclosed fire-pit outside in our yard is great for hot dog and marshmallow roasts.

Even though our home is family friendly, it is also a great place for a romantic get-a-way. Beach-combing on pleasant days or curling up by the fire during a coastal storm keep us coming back! Bring your favorite tunes to play on our Ipod dock.

We have made every effort to create a cozy and inviting space and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Additional Location Information

Netarts is a small, peaceful community on the Oregon coast, near Portland. It is located at the mouth of Netarts Bay where you can enjoy both the pristine bay with its great crabbing and clamming AND the Pacific Ocean. Netarts is 6 miles west of Tillamook, OR (home of Tillamook Cheese) and about 70 miles south-west of Portland.

  This beautiful house is not on the "tourist track"! It is, in every respect, a getaway place. Lots of room for being together or being separate, close to the beach, beautiful view, cozy and clean. It was a delight to share this house with friends. Easy to cook in. The fireplace was a plus. I will go back again for a "stretch".

  Wow---what a lovely home in a great location for a perfect family getaway. We loved the view of the ocean and how the sun just poured in the wall of windows in the living area. The owners have taken great care to make sure guests have a comfortable stay...from toys for children to games for adults and two large living spaces. The kids adored the double bunk beds as well as the short walk to the beach and the local store for ice cream. The kitchen is stocked and organized---everything we needed for a getaway in a "home away from home" destination. Thank you!

  Stretch made for a great vacation getaway with friends! Everything that we needed to cook great meals together was provided. The beach is close by and provides miles of expanse for beach combing or kayaking. The Schooner Restaurant just down the hill, has good food and a fabulous protected deck. We will be back!!!

  We've stayed at this house on multiple occassions and will continue to rent it. The bunk area downstairs is great for kids, while the adults can relax upstairs. It's beautifully decorated yet still comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and its kid friendly.

  Great place. Accomodations very comfortable for the 8 of us. Clean, comfortable, with a nice view of the ocean. Netarts is a quiet little place and it was an easy walk to the beach. We will be back.
