What Past Guests Are Saying
Nurturing retreat close to a great town
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Owl Lodge the last weekend of March. It's a very sweet, well-loved, comfortable house with a great view of forested mountains and lots of frogs whooping it up near the pond. White lilacs were blooming. Five minutes from Nevada City with all its charm, and close to great hiking (and in summer, swimming) along the river.
Quiet but close to everything
We had a wonderful stay at Owl Lodge a few weeks ago. The house is comfortable with a huge deck overlooking a gorgeous view. The living room has a great fireplace and views across to the the Sierras. The setting is peaceful and quiet with a sweet little pond. Nevada City was an unexpected delight, quaint, with many things to see and do. There are many hiking trails near by and we did a lovely hike along the nearby Yuba River. Definitely plan to return when its warmer and swim in the Yuba.
