Bathsheba is set 100 metres from the sea, in a peaceful area of Nevis, a beautiful and unspoilt island, with quiet beaches and a surprising amount to do and see. The house was built during 2001/2002 to a plan by a local architect, with the intention of combining typical local design features with modern facilities.
Bathsheba has five large en-suite bedrooms and a 36ft x 16ft living area, all fully air conditioned. The house is located in Jones Estate, an old plantation in the North West of Nevis, about 100 metres inland. The nearest beach with facilities is about a five minute walk away. The capital, Charlestown, is four miles south on the main island road.
St Kitts is the nearest island to Nevis, a short ferry ride across the Narrows, and Antigua is a 20 minute flight in a LIAT twin-engine plane.
Nevis airport is too small for large aircraft, but British Airways fly direct into St.Kitts from Gatwick on Tuesdays and Saturdays. An alternative route, almost daily, is via Antigua from Gatwick with BA or Virgin. Flight time to Antigua is 7.5 hours followed by the short hop from Antigua to Nevis.

Bathsheba, is a beautifully designed villa that can easily sleep 10 (we were only 4) and is located in a secluded road combining both easy access and privacy. Standard of accomodation is excellent and the "meet and greet" from the airport, the same. The boat ride from St Kitts and back is slick and all part of the experience. The Island itself is unspoilt and yet there is plenty to do, especially if you like dining out, there are plenty of fine restaurants. The Chanpionship standard Golf course, located at the 4 Seasons Hotel (just ten minutes away by car) is excellent and for the standard sensibly priced (ask for a discount!). Local bike hire and watersports down the road, an easy walk if you're so inclined. Locals are extremely friendly and much more laid back than, say, Barbados, as is the whole experience. Go back again? Absolutely!

We spent a lovely holiday at Bathsheba. The house was perfect for our needs and very well appointed. Spacious with lovely indoor and external space.
All the bedrooms very comfortable and the pool was great for cooling off in.
The owners had clearly thought about what their guests want.
The island of Nevis is very peaceful, but with enough to do should you feel so inclined. Great swimming ,diving, snorkeling and walks
Would thoroughly recommend for a happy family holiday -

We spent the second half of our honeymoon (along with our children - mad I know but it seemed like a good idea at the time!) in Nevis. We all had a truely fabulous stay. Bathsheba was perfect for our needs; even managed to arrange our rooms so we were well away from our 3 teenagers. We had some great days out; the best snorkelling we have ever done accompanied by a marine biologist who really knew her stuff; the children climbed mount nevis with a local eco biologist; the beaches are lovely and restaurants good quality. We have spent many holidays at Bathsheba. The house is spacious and ideal for fun with family and frineds. It is comfortably furnished with a large open plan living area with an up to to date kitche. All rooms are air conditioned. The house is within easy reach of beautiful beaches - the children's favourite is Oualie (5mins away) and for adults Nisbetts (10 mins away). For waves and boogey boarding the perfect beach is near the race course.
Good variety of restaurants - from international cuisine at Montpelier to goat water on the waterfront at the weekend.
Bathseba is a perfect holiday house on a beautiful, small Carribean island.

Nevis is a little gem in the caribbean. The people there are more traditionally minded than some of the larger islands and consequently crime is rare.
Bathsheba is excellently positioned for all of the watersport activities on Qualie Beach, as well as being equidistant from all of the 'destinations' on the island, such as Charlestown, Nisbit's etc. It is in a quiet, secluded spot, with excellent space. Watching the monkeys from the terrace is good fun in the late afternoon.
If you want to experience what the caribbean used to be like, with delightful, friendly people - go to Nevis. If you want a perfect spot for relaxing as well as exploring the island - stay at Bathsheba. -

Both Bathsheba Villa and Nevis proved to be the perfect spot for an extended family holiday. We wouldn't change a thing about our wonderful week. The house is ideally designed with a plenty of gathering space in the great room, on the porch and by the pool. The spacious en-suite bedrooms are simply furnished which is perfect for those on holiday traveling with luggage. While we ate out most meals, the kitchen is fitted out with all the necessary equipment as is the house with TV, wifi, books, maps, etc.
We loved the location of Bathsheba as well. Even though Nevis is small, we found the location good for shopping in Charlestown, easy 'commute' to all restaurants and beaches and quiet being set back from the main road.
We were on Nevis for just a week but managed to eat at a different restaurant every night (well, our favourite Golden Rock twice!), a different beach every day (Nesbit Beach twice - the best in our opinion) but the same delicious Carib beer every day!
For our family, a favourite holiday and one we hope to repeat some day.
