Rose Villa was built in 2006 as a celebration of traditional Caribbean architecture and craftsmanship but with modern scale and conveniences. It was built in true West Indian style, using single frame construction, exposed beaming and mortise and tenon joinery. A delight to behold inside, it is equally delightful outside, situated in tranquil gardens which take advantage of serene views of the Caribbean Sea from many porches, while mountain breezes refresh.

We just returned from 8 days in Nevis, staying at Rose Villa, and we couldn't have been happier with this home. We have 5 children ages 3-17, and this home was spacious and comfortable for all of us. There are 4 large bedrooms, each with their own bath, 2 indoor living spaces, and a large outdoor deck with couches and a table. It's located on the property of the Hermitage Plantation, which is a short walk, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you choose. The caretaker, Robyn, who lives across the street, is fabulous. She will make dinner reservations for you, plan your transportation, set you up with groceries when you arrive, and is full of information about where to go and what to do on the island. We had such a wonderful visit, and would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Rose Villa offers visitors to Nevis a unique experience. Although built relatively recently with amazing bathrooms and a great kitchen, the architecture and furnishings evoke the rich history of the island.
This home is privately situated on a large lot but benefits from having friendly neighbors in the vicinity and the Hermitage just down the hill. We enjoyed several meals at the inn, including the Wednesday night pig roast and a delicious breakfast.
The house had more than enough space for our family of four (our two college-age children accompanied us) with two indoor living rooms plus the fabulous veranda facing the sea. All rooms have very high ceilings and excellent air circulation. We didn't miss having air-conditioning at all and had no issues with insects.
The owner was gracious and helpful, as was the staff at the Hermitage. Our airport transfers worked perfectly, and it was wonderful to have our rental car waiting for us after a long trip.
If we are lucky enough to return to Nevis, we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. -

We had the pleasure of spending 11 nights at this wonderful home. Everything was immaculate and because this house was a permanent home and not purely a rental, all the amenities of a home were there. The kitchen had evrything you would ever need, with top of the line, appliances. The bathrooms are beautiful with rain shower spouts and double sinks, and the master also comes with the footed tub with a beautiful view of the mountain. The verandah was so comfortable we spent hours just relaxing there, enjoying the trade winds , along with the view and the sounds of nature. We hardly left the house it was so comfortable for us and our two children ( 8 and 11 years). The pool was perfect for a cool down after our daily tennis matches at the hermitage that was a few minutes walk from the villa. We walked down every day, to not only play tennis at the hermitage, but enjoy the facilities of this unique hotel. Everyone involved could not have been nicer or more helpful. Jen was terrific and planned our car rental and transfers from St Kitts. She checked in at various times to be sure all was OK with us during our stay and even when we had a very small issue getting wireless ( we needed for my sons homework!) she was so helpful and had technicians there right away to fix it. She wanted everything to be perfect and it was! The staff at the hermitage treated us so kindly, as though we were guests of the hotel. Even the stable hands for the resident horses at the Hermitage,wanted us to enjoy and have the best time. We hated to leave but are hoping to return soon to this little piece of heaven in a wonderful location. There is not a thing we would change and highly recommend Rose Villa to anyone thinking of visiting Nevis.
