Location: It really is right in the middle of a few attractions. We stayed here mostly to float the river, but while driving around found lots of good restaurants and shopping areas. It is down a country road, but this makes it very quiet and feel like you away from the city.
Rooms: The cabins are brand new and are very well built. We had a group of 6 people and all slept comfortably in the cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and cookware which was a nice surprise. The a/C kept us all cool in the Texas heat. The one downside I guess would be there was only 1 bathroom per cabin and it took us a little longer to get ready than expected. The cabins have a shared patio with a grill and chairs. We saw our neighbors a few times but it was never an issue. If you have a large family I would recommend renting both cabins.
Property: Besides the cabins, there is a really nice creek you can kayak in. They have 2 kayaks that are tied to the dock for guests to use. Also there is a rope swing on the bank you could use to swing over the creek. In the middle of the property, there is a little building with with a nice patio and fire pit. This would be a good area for a family reunion. There was a hot tub on the property but it was not full of water when we were there. The property managers were also working on building teepees for yet another cool vacation rental idea.
