35805Great Place for a family get-together

This is a unique property in the New Buffalo mi area. It is not on Lake Michigan, but that is part of the attraction. It is on a scenic river, which is not really navigible, but nice for hiking along. The facilities were well maintained, with plenty of space for our crew of 12. I don't know it it works well for 4 couples, since the 4rth "bedroom" is actually a part of the family room with the TV area. But for families with kids and friends, it works out fine. We were there in the winter so the outside deck was not used - other than for the hot tub - but the deck is very large and provides a gas and charcoal grill. A fire pit looks inviting (didn't use) but the fireplaces inside were very welcome. Kitchen was rather cramped, but well supplied, and the eating area was one very large table, but needs some chairs rather than just the 2 long benched provided. The master suite was large and well appointed, so that could be the only contentioius point if 3 couples split it - who gets the nice digs? Not a bad problem to have really - but I'd suggest paying the extra portion and get first selection rights.
