Heritage apartment built in the Sultanat style, is in the heart of south Delhi and overlooking the 14th century monument of. allauddin Khilji . Built in 2012 along the lines of the same period. It is fitted with all modern equipment. Regret not posting a review before. This is a wonderful place to stay close to all the Hauz Khas restaurants and clubs, but in a quiet residential neighborhood a 5 minute walk away ( up from the Bagel Shop).
I stayed here with two friends and my 9 year old daughter and had a wonderful time. The decor was beautiful, no doubt because the owner is a fashion designer, and owner of a boutique in Hauz Khas Village.
The view of the ruins from the terraces was amazing. But every detail was perfect inside, too, from the Good Earth floral tablecloth to the English bone china teacups and colored glass stoppered water bottles by the beds.
The owner Nailini and her houseboy provided wonderful service, from ensuring milk, fresh fruit, juices, and beer at my request on arrival and a taxi on Holii, to buying chikoo and Mother Dairy ice cream cones for my daughter our last night.
My only suggestions were to provide a better map on arrival and to upgrade the wifi router. The apt is just above a well-marked shop,but we didn't know that and had a bit of difficulty finding when arrived late at night, til called the houseboy at 2 am, who arrived within minutes and escorted us in. Ask the owner for a map with directions. With the name of the well-marked shop downstair's, Queen Bee's, it's easy to find. Otherwide, like most of Delhi, the numbering system is a it chaotic. The wifi signal was weak so could only use in the upstairs bedroom, but the owner sounded amenable to upgrading.
In short, it was a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a wonderful real Indian experience.
We had no trouble returning by taxi or auto rickshaw; just said we were trying in the village.

My family, including granddaughter, really enjoyed our stay in this interesting part of New Delhi. The stay was greatly enhanced by the great services available to us, such as meals ( Indian style) and laundry, on request. Better than a 5 star hotel anytime, and much less costly.You may need the owners assistance to get past the village boom gate when you arrive by car as only resident cars are allowed in the village.
