A wonderful few days ... the area is stunning - Slocan lake lies at the foot of the Valhalla mountains and you find new vistas with each turn of the road. At Silverton, not far from the cabin, is a great coffee house and just up the road we explored the remarkable remains of an old silver mining town. At New Denver we enjoyed the local market - with hand made chocolates on offer among other things. The cabin is really well laid out and Natasha & Tim are both charming and considerate hosts. Altogether, highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this delightful suite. The accommodation was practical and spacious. Natasha and Tim had included everything we needed with touches of colour and luxury which put the suite in a superior class. A summer visit meant we enjoyed the sunny kitchen/diner with its wonderful views of the Little Sister Mountain and were able to sit on the deck in the sun. The Slocan valley is a great holiday destination with lots to do and explore.

Looking for a Winter Retreat in scenic Slocan Valley? Then I suggest you stay at Smiling-Hills Bed&Breakfast; in Hills. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fully self-contained cottage prior to a backcountry ski week at Valhalla Mountain Touring Lodge. Tim and his wife Natasha very much ensured that our brief stay was memorable. All is prefect at Smiling-Hills B&B; for a couple, family or small group of friends. From the comfortable bedroom , warm living area with efficient pellet heater, complete bathroom, to the fully equipped kitchen. And the views of the Valhalla Mountains from the kitchen deck are spectacular! I hope to return in summer to experience Smiling-Hills B&B.; Check out this charming Bed and Breakfast. You will not be disappointed!!
