This property is ideal for a large family or a group of friends as it can provide sleeping arrangements for up to twelve people in two family rooms, one twin room and a double. 15 miles from the market town of Buxton is this traditional detached farmhouse on the outskirts of the historical town of New Mills, overlooking the High Peak. This is an incredibly snug cottage with an Aga installed in the fitted kitchen and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. There are also spectacular views across the surrounding countryside and a variety of activities and local amenities available from the doorstep.

Amenities: Gas central heating from... AGA in kitchen with woodburner in the sitting room and gas fire in snug. AGA cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, 2 x TVs (1 with basic Sky package), DVD. Fuel, power, and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate available. Ample off road parking. Lockable outside storage area. Lawned garden and patio with garden furniture and BBQ. 2 well-behaved pets welcome, stabling available on request. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pub 1 mile. Note: Rear of property is accessed via stone steps.

Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Town: Situated on the borders of North West Derbyshire and Cheshire is the small town of New Mills, forming part of the Derbyshire Peak District. Although the settlement dates back to the 13th Century, the late 20th Century saw the Torrs Riverside Park – often called 'the park under the town' - come into being as a place for recreation and relaxation. To promote tourism in the area, the New Mills Heritage Centre was opened and visitors can enjoy this as well as The Torrs Millennium Walkway, a much-admired bridge set deep within the gorge. Just five miles away is Chapel en le Frith - the Capital of the Peaks – that boasts a cobbled market place complete with historic old stocks. The spa town of Buxton is within easy driving distance and is famous not only for its therapeutic spring water but also for its Pavillion Gardens and splendid Victorian Opera House.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  excellent accomodation warm cosy well equiped - we stayed in Feb 2012 and the snow almost halted us getting to the acccomodation but the owner was more than helpful meeting us with his land rover and guidling us to Brow Farm. Our party consisted of 5 adults, 3 and 18 month old babies (and 3 dogs)with us the offer to ship all the family in if necessary was comforting. He kept us stocked up with fuel for the wood burner.

  We loved Brow Farm

  We had a wonderful time at Brow Farm. There was a warm welcome as well as a warm fire. The cottage had everything we needed and everyone loved both the location and the ameneties. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and we're already planning a return visit!

  Lovely area. Comfortable, well-equipped and spacious accommodation.. perfect for a family group. The aga was a novelty but we were a bit hot and had to time multiple showers and baths to ensure hot water...but that added to the charm of the place. The owner was very helpful and everyone we met was really friendly.Perfect for an extended family and lots to do in the area.

  Brilliant service, fire burning on arrival!
  Comfortable cottage, everything we needed and well thought out.
  Walking distance (10 mins) from New Mills where there is lots to see. (Millenium Walk and Walks along river well worth a visit)
  Warm and very comfortable cottage just right for a long weekend in November.
  Worst thing was only one shower and we had 4 couples, but this didn't detract from the stay. This cottage is lovely, feeling more like a home than a rented cottage.
