Matt went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, even when we were part of a large group - not many hosts will offer you taxi service! We stayed in the Marigny and Courtyard Suites, both were very comfortable rooms with excellent beds. Matt provides water, snacks, even food for a light breakfast, although there are plenty of great cafe's and restaurants close by, and the French Quarter is within easy walking distance, past some very interesting homes. If you want to explore the French Quarter, this is a Great place to stay! Relaxing in the (giant) hot tub after a long day on the streets is perfect.

Our host Matt was outstanding. We came as a large group with various arrival times for a family birthday shebang, and were well taken care of. Matt even set up birthday decorations for us, complete with balloons, posters, and pins. The suites were all beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect, in the Marigny district but just blocks away from the Quarter. All in all - very happy with all aspects of the stay. Thank you Matt!

From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure we were treated respectfully and nurtured with care. "Attention to detail" comes to mind immediately.
Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, our "digs", both inside and out, felt welcoming and serene. Close to the French Quarter (but not
too close!) we enjoyed walking the surrounding neighborhoods as well as the Quarter itself.
Matt has a gift for responding to the circumstances of the moment

My family and I stayed here during the second week of Jazzfest. Great location, great service, and incredibly clean/well updated space. Great outdoor sitting areas, and only minutes to the French Quarter. I liked it so much I've already reserved it for next years Jazzfest, and my family has reserved it for the Jazzfest after. Great experience, I would highly recommend stayig here during your trip to no.

Our group took all the rooms for a long weekend after Jazz Fest was over. Matt helped us like a knowledgable concierge wit hotels, occasional taxi rides and mini tours of the city. we loved sitting in the back yard enjoying the gazebo. For the records, Steve does exist!! I saw him myself. I am coming back with the Shin clan as soon as I can. No more hotels for this chick. I am now a. die hard Bearigny convert.

The suite was clean and well appointed, the host-Matt- was informative and careful, and the location is exclellet. The property is close to Frenchman street with numerous attractions and other restaurants are well within walking distance. For a good, safe and clean place to stay with room to stretch this is the spot!

The home is located close to the French Quarter, an easy bike ride away from the fairgrounds... which was perfect for our annual pilgrimage to Jazz Fest. There are fantastic coffee shops, breakfast spots, restaurants, and corner bars within blocks of the Marigny Suites.
Matt (the owner) thought of everything, made local recommendations and also respected our privacy... The units have been newly remodeled and are all very clean and well kept. There are securely locked gates along the street, and the grounds are a well tended oasis. There is even a large pristine hot tub that came in handy after our group got soaked at the Dave Matthews concert! (note: normally I wouldn't touch a hot tub with a 10 ft. pole)
We have been attending Jazz Fest for years and this is the first time we (as a group of 6) decided to book the same location for the following year!

My wife & I plus our daughter & 18yr old grandson recently stayed here for 4 nights recently and are very happy we did. We stayed in the Elysian Fields Suite which has 2 bedrooms one of which has 2 beds...easily sleeping 5. The rooms while smallish are very nice. The unit is very clean & nicely decorated. We were greeted by Matt who lives next door. Matt was very friendly & helpful. The suite has a small fridge, microwave, toaster & coffeemaker. Matt provides free milk, cereal juice, water & soda. There is also free wifi. The location is about a 5 minute walk to the restaurant/music club area of Frenchman St and another 10 minute walk to the center of the French Quarter. We are very happy to have met Matt and stayed at this property.

Our group of 6 just spent four nights at the Bearigny Suites for Jazz Fest - we could not have found a better spot as a base for our activities. First of all, the neighborhood is awesome. Conveniently located to some savory, local eateries and walking distance from everything you would want to do in New Orleans. We even hopped on the bikes that Matt set up for us and toured ourselves around...what a treat! I love the neighborhood, it is quintesentially New Orleans. When we first arrived, Matt gave us a very informed tour of the property and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Let me just say, I read every review and was still blown away with how beautiful, restful, relaxing, hospitable and just plain awesome this place was. We will be coming back. If you are reading reviews, trying to figure out which place to stay, stop right now and book this place - before someone else does. You will not regret it.

The house is clean, beautiful, well equipped and in a prime spot for seeing the gorgeous city of New Orleans. This property is great for small or large groups (from 2-10). There's a hot tub on site and plenty of space in their cozy courtyard to lounge in the sun. We enjoyed going down the street to a local bar, found an up and coming farm to table restaurant just around the corner and made our way to Jazzfest every day of our stay. Matt, the owner was more than accommodating and available to meet any of our needs. We rented bikes from him and cruised around to different restaurants and even made the trek to Jazzfest on bikes one day.
This is our fifth trip to New Orleans, we have stayed in houses for 3 of those visits and none have met the quality of service, cleanliness and location as Bearigny Suites does. I would highly recommend staying here and in fact, will be returning myself.

From the moment Matt picked us up at the airport until he took us back four days later, we loved our stay at The Bearigny Suites. The location is wonderful..a 12 minute walk to the French Quarter, a very safe neighborhood, and gorgeous courtyard for outdoor enjoyment anytime of the day or night. We were in town for a family wedding so The Bearigny Suites were perfect for a terrific cousins weekend. Matt's recommendations of restaurants were fabulous. One of the best things is that Matt and Steve live in their house right there so never is anything left unattended. There was a tiny leak in the bathroom toilet that I reported. By the time we got home from dinner, it was fixed and Matt had washed and dried the towels we used showering before we left for a rehearsal dinner. Now if that isn't excellent service, I don't know what is. I would go again in a heartbeat and have already send the information to friends. Thanks Matt.

I stayed @ Bearigny Suites from april 4-8, 2013, while in New Orleans for a family wedding. Our cousins rented the smaller apt in the complex too.
Matt picked us up @ the airport and got up very early the day we left to get us back to the airport for an early flight. He was so nice and accommodating. He asked us what we wanted for breakfast or any other groceries we needed and our kitchen was stocked when we arrived.
We were in the Marigny Suite and it was large and fit our needs. It has two bedrooms with queen beds. Ceiling fans which I loved. Kitchen was large and had everything we would need. There are so many quaint neighborhood eateries nearby we didn't use the kitchen that much. There is also a washer and dryer in this unit.
Bathroom had a shower, hairdryer, soaps, shampoo, and plenty of fluffy towels. We had a minor problem with the toilet and it was fixed when we returned in the afternoon. While fixing the toilet Matt did a load of our towels too. Matt and Steve are on the property so any questions are answered promptly.
The Suites are within walking distance of the French Quarter and Bourbon St. Very safe neighborhood and we didn't have any trouble walking into town. It is an older neighborhood so watch your step as some of the sidewalks are a bit uneven.
We were a group of people 62-71 years of age and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Other family members could not reserve with Bearigny Suites, but Matt told them about another home around the corner to rent and they were very pleased with his suggestion.
It was great we were all together and enjoyed the city before and after the wedding.

This place is truly a diamond in the rough! The pictures do not do this place justice. They keep everything immaculate and detailed. I was a little nervous about the location being far from things or in a bad area, but it was quite the opposite. It's just a few blocks from Frenchman, and not a bad walk at all from the French Quarter and Bourbon St.
Matt was amazing as well! He made us feel right at home, gave us great suggestions on where to go (the daiquiris), and was so fun to hang out with! I think we ended up hanging at the suites more than going out.

We went to Nola for my 40th Bday and my girlfriend surprised me with family and friends coming down with us. So we had a pretty good sized group. From the minute we got there Matt was an excellent host and the property was perfect! We rented the whole house and having both wings and the patio in the middle was just perfect. Matt also continously gave us suggestions on places to see and eat/drink and they were all right on spot! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and I will be back and will definitley stay right in this same spot! The Bear was perfect!

Stayed in the Courtyard Suite for 7 days mid april. Suite is on second floor in back above a beautiful courtyard area with lush fauna and a big hot tub. Fully equipped kitchen if you decide to cook in a night. Perfectly suited for nice quiet evening in if you desire. Or you can be in the heart of the french quarter in a half mile walk or less. Only 4 blocks from all the fine music on Frenchmen St. Since it was our first visit to New Orleans we definitely took advantage of this prime location.
Matt is a gem. First class host. Enjoyed all our time we spent talking and laughing with him. And when you meet him you'll understand the "bear" part.

Louisville40th Birthday Celebration in Nola!

A group of friends (couples & singles) went down to celebrate a 40th birthday for someone in the group. The location was great! You can easily walk to Frenchman Street, the French Quarter, the French Market and many others. The owner(Matt) met us at the gate of the property and showed us the around. We stayed in both the Elysian Fields & Marigny Suites. The accommodations were perfect for our group of seven and could have easily slept one or two more. The suites were very comfortable and well decorated. It was really nice having a fridge in the suites and the complimentary coffee, milk, and juice were nice in the mornings. Matt was very helpful in giving us tips on where to go (and not to go). I would definitely recommend Bearigny Suites to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay near the French Quarter. I am looking forward to my next stay there.

What a great place to stay while on vacation. We had a group of 9 visiting New Orleans to attend the French Quarter Fest. My husband and I recently spent four nights in the Elysian Fields suite with friends and had a wonderful vacation experience. The apartment was well stocked with whatever you may need, very conveniently located in walking distance of the French quarter, Frenchman street, street car stops, and excellent dining and night life. I would highly recommend this rental to any New Orleans visitor!

We stayed in the Courtyard Suite and felt like we were in our own little home away from home. Matt, the owner, was wonderful and helped us in many ways. He was always available and had written up a list of local restaurants and bakeries within walking distance. The location was within walking distance of Cafe du Monde and aunt Sally's Praline store. We felt very safe and our suite was super quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first visit to New Orleans and I could not have made a better choice for our accommodation. Matt offered a very good rate to pick us up from the airport and offered to swing by and pick up our friend from the amtrak station.
On the way to the suite, Matt provided us with information on New Orleans, southern customs, (we're from australia so this was awesome). He was very clear about the terms of the rental on our suite and made sure we understood those before we got there. He was very friendly and we could tell that nothing would be too much to ask of him.
On arriving at the suite he gave us a very detailed tour of the property and showed us through the common areas so we were aware of extra features such as the hot tub in the back yard that we may not have ventured back to see if we weren't shown.
The suite was amazing. Perfect for us as we were catching up with a friend from Michigan so we didn't want to be cooped up in a hotel room. There were 2 separate bedrooms, a separate lounge with small kitchenette and separate bathroom. The furnishings are modern and the fridge was stocked with complimentary milk and juice and there were even complimentary cereals, water and soft drinks.
Matt drove us to dinner on the first night as we had totally forgotten where he told us to go. Again, we got another narrated tour. On another day he took us to a buffet with a narrated tour on the way there. All very interesting and all things you wouldn't hear or see with a paid tour. He knows the area and you can tell he loves it which is what makes his stories so interesting.
We walked everywhere. The suite is perfectly located to everything you'll need. Its about a 15 minute walk to the French Markets. We felt very safe.
I cannot recommend Matt and the Bearigny Suites more highly. We got service here that you'd never get a the Marriott!! I've already passed on their details to friends at home.

We were trying to decide on a hotel or a vacation rental, and when I called Matt he said that he had a room available. I read through the reviews and with Matt being so friendly on the phone I knew I made the right choice. Once we got there Matt greeted us, showed us around, and then let us settle in. We were waiting on our friends from Kansas to get there which arrived later that evening. The next morning we called Matt to come over to give us ideas on places to see, and eat. He suggested the Crawfish Festival which was a big hit with all of us. We walked over to Frenchmen Street which was just a few minutes walk. We walked to Bourbon Street which was a nice 20 min walk. We went to the East buffet that Matt suggested. We went to Metairie and seen a parade and ate Shogun Japanese restaurant. We took the city tour, haunted tour, ate Beignets, ate plenty of seafood, enjoyed all the music, rode the ferry, went to Harrah's, met many nice people and enjoyed the hot tub Matt offered. Matt was very friendly, and asked if we needed anything just to let him know. We did meet Steve he was friendly as well. The beds were comfy, the place was clean, loved that we could do laundry. Matt made sure we had milk, OJ, water, and cereal. We went to Walgreens a couple times which was only a 2 min walk. Can't complain at all about anything! We only used the car twice, and the rest of the time we walked everywhere. Didn't have to pay for parking, felt very safe, and was quite. Plenty of places to sit outside and the landscaping is really nice. Thanks again Matt we will sure call you next time we are in New Orleans.

Originally we were going to stay at a hotel but decided to stay in a home in New Orleans. We were not disappointed. Matt was a perfect host providing everything to make our stay enjoyable from cereal, milk and juice to water and cold beer. After 5 nights in hotels, this was by far the best nights sleep we had. The Courtyard unit was just like being home and it was within easy walking distance to the French Quarter with it's great music and food. The only downside was we did not get to stay longer. Well, I guess we will just have to come back! Thanks Matt and give Maude a pet and a scratch from us.

We are repeat guests at the Bearigny Suites and are planning a third trip this fall. The Courtyard Suite is immaculate. Clean, modern, comfortable, conveniently located and beautiful. I have only the highest of praise for the accommodations.
But the true gem behind these Suites is Matt. He's the very best host we've ever come across. He genuinely cares that his guests have the very best experience while they are in New Orleans. Matt is a great host who makes sure that your every need is attended to without being overbearing (no pun intended). I would stay at the Bearigny suites again in a heartbeat. There were five of us - we rented a whole house and took full advantage of the great backyard oasis Matt and Jeff have put together (great jacuzzi)! Everything from the location to the cleanliness, to the comfortable beds and nice furnishings made it a great stay. The fact that Matt stocked the fridge for us and provided complimentary OJ, soda, milk, and cereal, among a bunch of other amenities you normally don't find when you rent a home, was fantastic.

We spent 9 nights at the Bearigny Suites during a conference in New Orleans and we absolutely enjoyed it. Directly after booking Matt asked us about our milk and juice preferences and after arrival we found everything in the fridge. We stayed in the Elysian Fields Suite but saw the other suites as well. All were in a excellent condition, totally clean and very nicely furnished. It is located in walking distance (around 10 minutes walk) to the French Quarter and the French Market. At the French Market there's a Streetcar stop with direct connection to the convention centre, the aquarium and Canal Street. We rented some of their bicycles to speed up our daily trips to the convention centre and they were in an excellent shape.
The most amazing thing was the service: free cereals, soft drinks, water, one evening they prepared fresh Crawfish and on our last day Matt took us on a Katrina-Seafood Buffet-Shopping Tour. Thanks again for this!!

New Orleans was such an amazing place! We had a great time on our weekend get away. Bearigny Suites was Fabulous! Tons of super fun bars and restaurants close enough to walk to. There is also Walgreen close, in case you forgot anything. The secret garden patio space and hot tub were a blast! Such a nice way to end the night, glass of wine and a soak! Matt is an absolute Doll! He took great care of us. We locked ourselves out, and had to wake him at 4 a.M. to let us in...lol. The rooms are so clean and nice! Very well decorated. I came home with a few new ideas for my living room. We will 100% stay here again. I highly recommend this place!!!

My trip to the Super Bowl and stay at the suite was incredible! I was picked up from the airport personally, by Matt. I was there for only one night, but everything about the place was above anything I could need for an overnight stay, or even an extended stay. I was a bit sceptical with all the amazing reviews but now I do not doubt. We were there for three days (group of 5 - two older couple and a younger women).
Matt (unfortunately we didn't meet Steve) is an incredible customer service pro. He was available to drive us around should we need him (one of our group had trouble walking) and even gave us a small tour of some houses that were hit with Katrina.
Honestly, the pictures on the website aren't as pretty as the decoration is. Matt really though the decoration through, the Elysian suite really has the Nola feel.
Honestly, staying there is part of the New Orleans experience. Its easily walkable to the heart of French Quarter (10 minutes) and secure at night to walk back to.
I haven't stayed anywhere esle in New Orleans, but when I go back (and Nola is great, I do plan on going back) I will stay there again for sure.
Also, there is a huge hot tub in the back (which we used 2 of the 3 nights) its awesome !!!

These were kind people that picked us up from the airport, gave us a tour and laid out all the information we needed to know as tourists. The rooms were very clean and professionally serviced well. We had no issues what so ever. We were able to get everything we needed based on the owners being next door and easy to talk to. And on the day of our check out they provided us with a lift to the airport!

Matt & Steve (aka "The Bears") were hands down the best hosts I've had at a rental property, ever. I received a call from Matt less than an hour after filling out the online request form and could tell from that moment that he was only interested in giving us the very best of service.
Our party of 8 arrived at MSY around midnight and Matt offered us curbside taxi service to the house for much less than the cost of two cabs, with he and Steve giving us the full Nola scoop on the way to the house. Three of us stayed in the Marigny Suite and five in the Elysian Fields suite, which shared a common courtyard. Both suites were incredibly clean and comfortable, stocked with our choices of milk & OJ, complimentary cereals, and a selection of very reasonably priced "Bear Bites." Our beds were comfy, our bathrooms were clean, and the full kitchen and washer/dryer in the Marigny Suite were an extra added bonus.
The house with those two suites is connected to the main house and an incredibly beautiful courtyard and hot tub which we spent many afternoons lounging in and around, drinking daiquiris (try the White Russian) and eating po-boys (try the hot sausage) from the shops a block away that Matt recommended. The great music on Frenchmen St was about a 10 minute walk away while Cafe du Monde & the heart of the French Quarter was about 20, just as advertised.
Throughout the stay, we'd occasionally run into Matt who was always happy to offer a recommendation for activities, music, food, or cocktails. He tipped us off about the incredible Krewe de Vieux parade happening while we were there and gave us advice on viewing locations. On the unfortunate day of our departure, Matt very kindly let us chill in the courtyard until leaving for our flights, which he & Steve ferried us back to the airport for.
All in all, after three days at Bearigny, Matt & Steve were more like good friends than rental property hosts. They'll definitely be my first call the next time I'm Nola-bound.

Well some best friends got together after 23-25 years of separation to bring in the New Year in Nola. We planned our reunion for four months and Matt was such a delight from the very beginning. He was so warm and welcoming and once we made it to our suite, wow! It was just impeccably furnished and decorated with great attention to detail. Everything needed for your stay was there. Matt supplied us with a list of favorite places in the area and even his lovely husband treated us to spinach and feta puff pastry when we were having our BBQ in the main courtyard. The hot tub is huge and the dining area allowed our group to have a candlelit dinner on NYE. It's walking distance to The Riverwalk, The French Market, Jax Brewery, Bourbon Street, etc. I ended my trip with a badly needed soak in the jacuzzi bathtub. Truly one of the best experiences traveling I have had because of the accommodations and the amazingly awesome hosts. This far surpasses any comparable hotel in the area. It was a 5 star experience yet felt like home. Thank you very much Matt and Steve. This trip meant the world to us and you were a part of that. I highly recommend The Bearigny Suites if you stay in Nola for any reason.

Matt and Steve went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. Matt is perfectly suited for owning a vacation rental. You can tell he thoroughly enjoys taking care of his guests. Need something? Ask and he rushes around to get it to you. Even if it is not part of his normal service.
Wish our stay was longer - it really felt like home. And we not only had the comforts of home on our trip, but best of all, we made new friends in Matt and Steve.
I highly recommend a stay at The Marigny and Elysian Fields Suites. But don't tell anyone... we want to be able to get reservations for our next visit... :)

This experience was over-the-top, with exceptional, personalized service above and beyond what one would expect. We rented both The Marigny and The Elysian Fields Suites for our family of 7. What a delightful place this is!! The location is convenient to the French Quarter, while being in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. If there were more stars, this rental would receive them. Too many exceptional services to list -- you just have to experience them.

We recently stayed in the courtyard suite of the Bearigny Suite in New Orleans. The suite was perfect for two people and has everything you could ask for and more to make your stay comfortable. Matt is the perfect host and goes above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. The back patio is darling and although we did not utilize the hot tub (bummer) we loved walking thru the garden area each time to get to our suite. The location is centrally located and easy to get cabs and walk to the french quarter. A hidden gem away from the hustle bustle!

Thank you Matt and Steve for renting out your wonderful Suites...All of them we rented for my 9 friends who made the trek to Nola to help me celebrate my 40th birthday!!! We all fell in love with the suites and the entire property!! We had 2 girls in the Courtyard, 3 girls in Marigny and 3 in Elaysian. The size is perfect...you can actually fit more...but it was nice to have room to roam in.
The suites are decorated with the vibe of New Orleans..and you will get lost looking at all the detail around the property that makes this so charming!!
Matt was very accommodating and was there to greet us!! Unfortunately I personally didnt get to say goodbye when I left but he did get the chance to say goodbye to my friends...and even took them to the airport! Now that's service!!
Thank you again...and I will definitely be recommending the Bearigny suites who come out to Nola to visit. I miss it already!!

The Bearigny Suites were just lovely, and I would so enjoy a return stay in the future. My family enjoyed both the Elysian Fields and the Marigny Suites for almost a week, and it was wonderful to have a full home experience with plenty of room for 7 of us, without stepping over each other! Our host was beyond helpful and accomodating - he treated us like treasured friends rather than just guests in his vacation rental units. He offered tips on great sites to check out, found us tickets to the Wwii museum, advised us on the most outrageous and affordable seafood buffet in the area, and he was also very amusing and entertaining...bonus! The actual location of the suites was wonderful as well. I loved the proximity to the Treme and French Quarter, and it felt like a very safe, nice, quiet neighborhood.

We had a fantastic trip to Nola earlier this month and a highlight was the wonderful apartment we rented! Matt and Steve were such gracious and helpful hosts. From the moment he picked us up at the airport to the moment he dropped us off Matt was genuinely concerned that we have a perfect stay at Bearigny Suites - and perfect it was! The accomodations were lovely - comfortable beds, beautifully appointed rooms, fully stocked fridge and breakfast cereals, and a huge hottub to boot! The apartment was perfectly located near Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. We spent almost every evening on Frenchman Street where the music was unbelievable and just a seven minute walk away!

Five Star feeling without the five star price. My honey and I stayed here for a week and we did not want to leave. The owner Matt saw to our every need from laundry service to recomendations on which resturants to eat at and when to arrive to all the hidden jewels of New Orleans attractions.

If only we could click our heels together three times and find ourselves back at The Bearigny Suites!!! This was our second stay with Matt and Steve and we will be back soon. This is without a doubt, our favorite place to stay in New Orleans!! The entire property is gorgeous, Matt really puts 110% into the care and maintenance of the suites and the grounds. We have rented the same suite twice, but were lucky enough to get a little tour of the other suites as well. Each one is beautiful, plush and beyond comfortable.
The location is fantastic!! We spent one afternoon walking around the neighborhood checking out local shops and cafes. Everyone was very welcoming and had great things to say about the area. We felt very safe our entire stay and never had any issues.

My wife and I just returned from Nola, where we shared the Elysian Fields Suite with friends of ours (another couple). From speaking to Matt on the phone, I could tell that he is a guy who takes great pride in his property and works very hard to ensure his guests are comfortable. Upon arrival, I found that I was not mistaken. The property is immaculately kept, and our suite was clean and homey. The courtyard area and hot tub were a welcome break from our adventures on Frenchman Street (not to be missed!) and the Quarter - both an easy walk away. Matt recommended several places to eat and things to do - always leaving us plenty of space to 'do our thing' but ready to help at all times.
We have several friends who intend to visit New Orleans, and we will be directing all of them to book early at the Bearigny Suites. And, when we return to this fabulous city (which can't be soon enough) we won't consider staying anywhere else.Response from Matt Woerner - 11/22/2012

We have just arrived back in the UK after spending three nights at the Bearigny Suites. Matt provides excellent hospitality and the Courtyard Suite was like a home from home. Facilities and the decor were 5 star standards. We really enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful courtyard garden. Matt goes out of his way to ensure all his guests are looked after very well and all the extra touches that are provided make this place a definite for a return stay. In reality the place is much better than the pictures on the website. Everything in the French Quarter is only a 15 minute stroll away and the location is very safe as we were walking around late at night. All in all this is a great value for money find which has high standards with a great location for a New Orleans trip whether it be for romance,partying or just to relax.

We could not have asked for more! Fabulous hosts, immaculate accommodations. Location is extremely convenient.
Matt made sure that *anything* we needed was taken care of. He went out of his way on several occasions during our extended stay to accommodate us. Of the several personal property rentals I've utilized during various trips over the years, I feel like I was much more than a renter...we left Nola with new friends.
Checking in was a breeze. Matt gave us a complete tour and we got settled in quickly. The Courtyard Suite has a fantastic view of a lush, tropical courtyard. The hot tub in the courtyard made my stay very relaxing and I used it several nights. Matt takes a great deal of pride in his property and it's maintained immaculately.
At check in Matt also gave us a list of convenient restaurants and groceries - this was indispensable during our stay. We recommend Gene's Po Boys and Elizabeth's in Bywater. Matt also made reservations for us for a nice dinner one evening in the French Quarter (see...above and beyond!) He also made sure we had our favorite milk, juices and sodas stocked during our entire stay. Great perk!
While we made the most of our stay, unfortunatly my wife was in Nola for major surgery. Matt went out of his way to check on her (even while she was in the hostpital!) and definitely brought a smile to her face on a couple days when she really needed some cheering up. Trick or Treat! How do you put a price on that?!?!
We will be returning for two more stays in the next few months and will not stay anyplace else. Excellent accommodations, excellent hosts, and a true taste of Nola. We had the pleasure of staying at the Bearingy Suites October 11 thru 15 of October.
We could not of been more happy. Matt picked us up at the airport and that was the start of a great mini vacation.
The suite was out of a travel magazine photo spread, clean, and decor was wonderful.
The queen size bed slept wonderful.
We were far enough from Bourbon Street to miss all of the loud madness, but it was a quick walk and a very fast taxi drive.
All in all I (we) can say nothing bad about our saty, except that it was not long enough!

I stayed in the Marigny Suite while in New Orleans. The room felt like a home and was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. the location was also great with live music just a few blocks away on Frenchmen. The hot tub in back was nice too. In addition, the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Our stay at the Bearigny Suites was indescribable. The suite was very clean and supplied with all of our favorite juices and cereals as well as coffee, tea and bottled water. Our safety was a major consideration. The light outside of our suite was always turned on when we arrived "home" at night. The gate to our suite was secured as well. Matt, the owner, was charming, funny and very knowledgable of the area. He suggested several area sites for us to visit. We have already made plans to revist Nola next year and will never consider staying anywhere else but the Bearigny Suites.

The decor of the home is gorgeous, clean, and very cozy. The backyard is like a secret garden. They also have the most amazing hot tub I've ever seen - 4 ft deep!!
On top of the amazing location (close to the local hang out for music, drinks, and food - Frenchman st), Matt and Chris are amazing hosts. Very kind guys, whom even were so thoughtful as to stock our fridge with soy milk and send us a list of vegan restaurants when they learned about my diet! They even allowed us to store our bags in their personal home after we checked out, and gave me a ride to the airport.
I wish I didn't have to leave.

My best friend, Donna, and I have been planning a trip to Nola for several years. Little did I know the experience would be so enhanced by such gracious hosts as Matt and Steve. From the time we were picked up at the airport until the time we were escorted back a week later we felt welcomed. The Courtyard Suite is cozy, clean and decorated with New Orleans style. The suite is stocked with juice, milk, bottled water, cereal and snacks with fully stocked cabinets for cooking. The suite overlooks the beautiful courtyard gardens and spa hot tub. You can see and feel the care Matt and Steve have for their guests comfort. Matt made sure we got to see everything on our list by giving us directions and transportation information. He literally assisted in planning our days. Little did we know that he would go the extra mile to drop us off at our chosen destination. In addition, Matt spent an entire afternoon with us beginning at Harrah's, stopping at the all you can eat seafood buffet and ending with a tour through musicians row, Brad Pitt Blvd and post Katrina neighborhoods. It was a wonderful afternoon. Matt's sense of humor and knowledge of the crescent city is most admirable. The amenities were endless resulting in us not needing a thing. A real treat is Maw, the resident dog. She is precious and I miss giving her treats and belly rubs or watching her get her" sun beam on" in the beautifully decorated path going into the courtyard. We are already planning our stay for next year and would not dream of staying anywhere else but the Bearigny Suites. It is within walking distance of all the sights with well-lit streets and the spa hot tub is waiting for you upon your return. There were many evenings Matt even waited up for us to confirm we were safely home. Matt and Steve and of course Maw, we can't thank you enough.

The apartment's tastefully furnished, has a comfortable bed and sofa, a well-equipped kitchen, and looks out on a lovely courtyard with a hot tub. I've booked rentals multiple times both domestically and internationally and have had fantastic experiences – however, I have never seen the attention to detail that these gentlemen put into their place. We booked the courtyard suite and were greeted by Matt who gave us a tour of the property and the suite. The suite is located upstairs and appears recently updated. Comfortable couch and bed, full kitchen, and a clean bathroom/shower area. Cereal, orange juice, and plenty of bottled water (a must for those late nights out) were waiting for us in the kitchen. Matt was always available to answer questions.
The Bearigny suites are a must if you plan on booking a place to stay in New Orleans that is centrally located, clean, and quiet. Next time we are in town, we will be contacting Matt to see if their space is available. Great experience!Response from Matt Woerner - 11/25/2012

Loved everything about our stay here. The suites are in very good, updated condition, with everything you could hope for (and the stocked drinks/cereal/snacks are a great bonus). The location is very good, safe and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood walking distance from the Quarter. Matt is extremely friendly and helpful, and both the check-in and check-out processes were great. I can't think of a single complaint. I would absolutely stay here again. I'd venture to say it's the best vacation rental experience I've ever had (and I've rented vacation properties in cities all over the country and in Europe).

My family and I recently stayed in the side-by-side suites for 8 nights. From the lovely and elegant decor, to the blissful and soothing hot tub in the backyard oasis, everything was perfect. It is clear that owners Matt and Steve take great pride and care with their suites. Matt could not have been more accommodating, going above and beyond several times to make sure we were happy. And he is such a delight - so friendly and the consummate host. When the neighborhood power briefly went out, Matt immediately brought us candles and made sure we were alright. He even printed all of our boarding passes the day before we checked out. Both suites are wonderful and provide so much for the traveler, including toiletries, condiments, cereal, coffee, tea, milk, juice and more. My husband and I travel a lot and often stay in B&B;'s, Inns, Vrbos, etc., and this is our new favorite! Highly recommended.

We arrived to the Bearigny Suites on thursday right after hurricane Isaac left the city. Matt was waiting at the door to give us a warm welcome. He worked hard to clean up the mess and debris left by the hurricane.
He explained how the situation after the hurricane was and showed us the property. We could not believe that Isaac was in the city a few hours before as the backyard garden was in perfect condition!
We were staying at the Marigny Suite, it has a very nice bedroom, a comfortable living room and a fully equipped kitchen. The staying was very good and pleasant. The first four days the neighbourhood was out of power, but Matt & Steve had generators that gave us enough electricity to enjoy the air conditioning, lights, fans and the fridge.
So we had a party when the power was back on Sunday at 17:00!
The property is located very close to the French Quarter, more or less 10/15 minutes walk. We could also use the bicycles to visit some other places around the city.
Despite hurricane Isaac and its consecuences, we had a great time in New Orleans. It was a very positive experience.

Great place, great location, and Matt is the best host you could ask for. We stayed in the Elysian Fields suite for 4 nights couldn't have asked for a better place to be. The suite was great, quiet, excellent accomadation, bed was wonderful (once you climbed into it). Enjoyed the outdoor veranda in the mornings with our coffee and and afternoons with our other libations and the hot tub addeds that little extra to your day.
The location is close to everything you need, walking distance to the French Qtr and Frenchmen street if you want to hear good music. Able to drive easily to other areas in New Orleans, Midtown and Upper town.
Will definetly stay here on return visits to New Orleans and highly recommend this location.

We recently spent 4 nights in the Elysian Fields suite and were very pleased. Matt went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable with the suite and the amenities. Since this was a pleasure trip, we spent hours relaxing in the courtyard and using the hot tub before and after our trips around town.
The suite is spacious and immaculate with 2 large bedrooms (the beds were firm and everyone slept quite well!) and a nice bathroom. There is a large chest of drawers in each room for clothes as well as a closet that will hold more hanging clothes than you will need.
While we heard a bit of street noise, the suite was quite soundproof. One block off Elysian Fields Boulevard made it easy to navigate to places we wanted to go and it is within easy walking distance of the many clubs on Frenchmen Street.
We have vacationed in New Orleans many times and have always wanted to find a place we really wanted to go back to. The Bearigny suites could easily be that place.Response from Matt Woerner - 09/17/2012

We were there for the long holiday weekend and were greeted with warm wishes and gorgeous surroundings. We stayed in the Elysian Fields Suite and found it very comfortable. The gardens were a great place to sit and relax. The location is close to events we wanted to attend and an easy access to the downtown area a very short trip away.
Things were fresh and new as well as nicely decorated. The place was extremely well maintained and exotic plants were everywhere. We were even invited to a guest cook out and barbecue to meet some of the other guests.
The part I liked least was, having to leave and go back to reality and work!
I have already suggested a return trip for the New Years holiday and also next year!

Stayed at the Bearigny Suites after Hurricane Isaac despite the district having no electricity for 5 days, Matt had a generator up so I had lights and air conditioning while friends in other accommodation had none!! They bent over backwards to make the stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible and they succeeded. So this venue is highly recommended. Its close to the French Quarter and just far enough to escape it for some peace and quiet!
The accommodation was fully equipped with spacious bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, clean and very comfortable.

We stayed with Matt and Steve in april/May this year.
From the moment Matt picked us up at the airport we knew that we had made the right choice for our Nola stay. On our journey to the suites we had our own personal tour of the city, with Matt pointing out many places of interest and what made them so.
Upon checking in, Matt kindly showed us the other suites and even his home. We were made to feel like welcome family members returning after an extended period of absence.
Our suite was clean and spacious. It overlooked the courtyard and spa and further out to others homes and gardens.
It was a short walk to the French Quarter and even not that far from downtown - 20 minutes at most [but we australians have long legs].
Matt gave us suggestions on where to eat, where to have a drink, where to relax and where to have fun.
Matt is extremely proud of his suites and strives to ensure his guests are made to feel welcome.
Matt went out of his way to answer any question we had.

Matt and Steve, thank you so much for such a wonderful place to stay while we were in New Orleans. It was my first time in New Orleans and you guys made us so comfortable. I loved the Marigny Suite. There was so much room, washer, dryer, huge kitchen, and very peaceful,safe, and quiet. The patio area was beautiful with such beautiful flowers and a hot tub. We walked into town each day and it was a short trip across town to the bars and restaurants. No need for a car. We also had the use of the bicycles if we wanted them which was very nice. The tour of the city that Matt set up was really nice and he gave us a number to call for a fan boat swamp tour. Probably the best thing I have ever done. Amazing. Our hosts at The Bearigny Suites created a beautiful, welcoming "home away from home" for us. We stayed in Elysian Fields Suite-the photos do not give this facility justice...our suite was beautifully decorated, with thoughtful attention to details; most amenities of home were available to us-towels (plenty of towels), an ironing board, wine opener, umbrellas, perfect bed linens, pillows, etc. The courtyard was a perfect place for morning coffee (supplied) or for a glass a wine later in the day.

Honestly, this guesthouse is truly special, from the spaciousness of the suites to the way the owners let you know that you are special!
I only had the opportunity to stay two nights, but my suite, the Marigny, is actually a one bedroom apartment complete with high ceilings, fans, galley style eat-in kitchen with a stacked washer and dryer! Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed furnishings.

We arrived at the suites late Friday evening. We met Steve on the front stoop and he showed us to our suite. Matt then came and checked us in and gave us a full rundown of the property and all of the amenities available to us. Matt takes great pride in the Bearigny and it shines through every aspect of his beautiful property. We loved the Elysian Fields suite, but the other 2 suites are just as beautiful! We would move in permanently if we could! The location of the suites was fantastic for us and we loved the neighborhood. We were close to everything we wanted to see and do on this trip. The Marigny is an ideal location from which to explore the French Quarter, especially if your interests include the music on Frenchman Street.
And the Marigny itself is worth poking through if you are keen on architecture, and if you're interested in good neighbourhood restaurants.
The Suites are high-ceilinged and impressive, clean, fully appointed, including laundry: everything worked well and there was plenty of hot water.
The courtyard is beautiful, and the hot tub was a welcome bonus.

We just stayed a week in the Elysian Suite and I must say, as a first time "renter", I couldn't have been more satisfied with the accommodations. The suite was...Home. Clean as can be, comfy beds, hot shower, and stocked fridge with water, milk, juice and soda. The neighborhood was great...the corner bar became our "local hang out", BBQ joint down the road had the best pulled pork I've ever eaten, and the location was just a short walk from Frenchman St and the French Quarter...all the night life without all the noise. It's also on the bus route, and for $3 a day, you can't beat the price to get around the city.
Matt and Maw were gracious hosts...friendly, outgoing, and made sure we were happy and taken care of. I would recommend staying here to anyone interested in taking a trip to the Big Easy, and would definitely stay here again.Response from Matt Woerner - 05/18/2012

When I was shown into the Marigny Suite I thought I must be sharing the kitchen and bathroom with others - it was so huge I couldn't see to the end of the apartment. Perfect location; Faubourg Marigny is pretty hip (I'd been told its where locals hang out by a New Orleanian friend), it's two streets way from the best street in the city (Frenchmen) and very close to Bourbon and the main throng if that's you're thing. Although it was JazzFest, I was actually in Nola as part of a 6 week research trip and my hosts were extremely helpful, made me feel very welcome for anything at any time, but Los respectful of my need for lots of quiet time to write. And to have a washing machine and drier after 3 weeks away from home was a real joy. Thank you so much, a comfortable, spotless and lovely place to sty. Home from home - actually, I wish my home was this nice!

Just returned from a week stay in the Elysian Fields Suite for Jazz Fest. Our stay in this property and with Matt as our host, was exceptional. The suite was spacious, clean, nicely decorated with any amenity we needed. The a/C was cold and the shower was hot, just the way we like it. The beds were super comfy too. Matt was a great host. Friendly and warm. He was so kind to stock our fridge with water, soda and the milk and OJ we like. From the moment we arrived at the airport it felt as if we were visiting a friend. He took us to a delicious seafood buffet, taught us how to eat crawfish and told us about Nola. We frequented a local bar just steps away and were treated as regulars. The suite is located two blocks from Frenchman St.. This is the place for good music at night. Check out D.B.A. & Maison. We felt safe in the suite and the neighborhood. I suggest familiarizing yourself with a bus map, it's only $3 for a day pass, if you like to venture more than average.
We stayed in one night, relaxed in the ultimate back yard jacuzzi, ordered Thai and a movie on demand and relaxed after a hot day at jazzfest. Matt and Maw were so hospitable and generous. Our vacation was better than we could have asked for because of him. I don't ever want to stay in a hotel again. We will be back and will be referring Bearigny Suites to anyone visiting Nola. You won't be disappointed.

Even though our flight changed multiple times the day we flew in, Matt accommodated us by picking us up at 10P after hours of waiting. He was prompt, cheerful and carefully explained each aspect of the rental.
The unit was clean and inviting, plus it had absolutely everything we needed from an iron to umbrellas, WiFi, comfortable bedding, full kitchen. We could go on and on. The courtyard area is like a tropical oasis with a jacuzzi, beautiful flowers and trees, plenty of places to sit, a grill and even a mini-fridge stocked with water and sodas.
Matt was available any time we had questions and was a wealth of information. He gave us one of the best tips when going to Cafe DuMonde. You'll have to ask Matt for that detail.
We thoroughly enjoyed walking from the vacation rental to the French Quarter each day which was about 1 mile one way.

4 of us enjoyed an extended weekend at the Bearigny Suites. Matt met us upon arrival & made sure we had all we needed from clean towels, bottled water & an ironing board to restaurant recommendation. It was great to stay in a newly remodeled & well appointed suite. Fresh, clean, safe & inviting. Pictures don't do justice to the effort & styling the 'Bears' have put into these units. The Suites are located within a doable walking distance to many of New Orleans prime attractions. Public transportation is nearby as needed. We hesitate to add more afraid we might increase demand lessing our chance to return. Any return to the 'Big Easy' will likely include a return stay at Bearigny Suites.

Ambience. That says it all. The Bearigny Suites is a gem. Other places may also have well-appointed rooms, stock your refrigerator, or be pristinely clean, but the Bearigny is beyond that: Matt and Steve have created an atmosphere of caring and warmth, there for guests when needed, going the extra mile but never intrusive. At the end of the day of playing tourist, guests indeed come home to the Bearigny Suites, and a glass of wine in the hot tub and a chat with Matt are the best way to unwind. We have rented two dozen apartments from Croatia to Portland, Oregon. Our best compliment to Matt and Steve? We're coming back.

We recently stayed in the Elysian suite and it was perfect! It was very private and the perfect relaxing atmosphere after partying on bourbon street the night before! The apartment was super clean and very beautiful. The pictures do not show all the details of the apartment. Beds were so comfortable and comforts and pillows were so comfy. Matt was very attentive to all our needs. He gave us extra beach towels for when we went to the beach and supplied us with golf umbrellas when it was raining. The only problem: my girlfriend didnt want to leave the apartment!!

My partner and I are frequent visitors to New Orleans, but were unable to secure a booking at our typical B&B.; I recalled hearing about the Bearigny Suites through social networking channels and despite initially being a little concerned about the neighborhood, decided to give them a try. Boy, am I glad I did. The neighborhood was wonderful and the property is simply amazing. Matt and Steve have done a wonderful job of turning their camelback home and their recent acquisition of the double shotgun next door into a quiet, relaxing, carefree oasis. We had an opportunity to briefly tour all three rental units and I have to say that every one of them are worth renting. The room we booked was the Marigny Suite. The place was huge - literally one half of the double shotgun. The queen bed was comfy, the a/C was wonderfully cold (and quick), and we loved the fact that the suite featured a full kitchen... oh, and the milk and orange juice waiting in the fridge was a nice touch too. Matt was a perfect host, giving us a tour of the property, instructions for the swim spa, and even a list of restaurants the locals rave about (we now have a few new favorites!). We will absolutely stay here again... no question.

The place was immaculate - newly & tastfully decorated. In a decent neighborhood just about the right distance from the craziness that is Bourbon St. My buddies & I had a great time while staying there for the Final 4 this year. Not only did Matt go out of his way to give us the tour of the city but he had tons of tips for us from where to get cheap beer to know enough to not stand in line at Cafe Du Monde. On top of all that I owe Matt a debt of gratitude for being there for me during a rough patch & also coming up with one of the best april Fool's jokes I've ever pulled on anyone. Great times & awesome stories to tell everyone when I got back. I look forward to going back & visiting.

I was a little worried about not staying at a hotel since my past experiences at B&Bs; and apartment rentals were not that great. I am a very picky person that travels a lot...This was the best place! Matt was awesome. He had my favorite cereal waiting for me with fresh milk and orange juice in the refrigerator. The apartment was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable and smelled so fresh. The apartment was was very quiet and private. Very close to the French quarter yet far away from the rowdy crowds.We had access to the hot tub 24hours in our secluded backyard. Matt gave us a list of restaurants to go to and was the perfect person to go to for the New Orleans best kept secret places to visit. I will be returning soon!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Bearigny Suites. The Courtyard Suite was perfect for two. The suite was adorable, quiet, and perfectly comfortable. Favorite part of the quite was the courtyard, surrounded with beautiful plants - and the hot tub, which was clean and well maintained. The location of the Bearigny suites is great - just out of the way of the French Quarter, but a moment's walk to it's edge.
Our hosts were amazing: gracious and fun but never, ever obtrusive. We felt like we were staying with friends that "gave us our space." To be honest, we loved them so much that we wished we could spend more time with them by the time we left. (That includes their cute dog Missy).

Stayed for nearly a week and we would recommend it to almost everyone. Great hosts treat you more like friends instead of paying guests. The upstairs studio unit had more than we expected in extra food/condiments, etc. compared to other vacation rentals. The lush backyard is a treat, especially for us Northerners. This area has a real neighborhood feel and the folks are so friendly... like a small town. Walk to the Frenchmans St. music scene in 5 mins and the French Quarter in 10. There is a small Co-op grocery & cool coffeehouse within 2 blocks. This stay made us feel like we were residents of, not visitors, to Nola.

Recently got back from a lovely stay @ the Bearigny. My partner & I were in town to celebrate my 30th & to visit New Orleans for the first time. We found the perfect place to stay @ the Bearingy, located in a great artsy fun neighborhood (but walking distance/cheap cab to everything). Our hosts, Matt & Steve, were perfectly accommodating, answering every question but also respecting our privacy. I also unfortunately twisted my ankle, & Matt was so kind to help us out & go above & beyond--Thank you again! We got a peak @ the new suites they are opening & are already plotting our next trip down there. We had a great stay & recommend this elegant & comfortable place to anyone heading to the beautiful city of New Orleans.

The apartment was Great!!! It was just as described on the website. It was clean, comfortable, roomy. There was everything you needed in the kitchen. It was great having the refrigerator already stocked with drinks, etc. The bed was comfortable, nice bathroom, comfortable sitting area, nice windows and the courtyard was beautiful. It was an easy walk to the Quarter. Although there are several good restaurants close by. Frenchman's Street and all of the things going on there is only a couple blocks away. With the buzz of the Quarter and Frenchman Street being so close, you can leave that behind to come back to the quiet and peaceful tranquility of the courtyard and the apartment. Come back to stay again? You bet I would!!!

Had a wonderful time here. It's a great location between the Quarter, and the Marigny, and Bywater, where we found some great bars and restaurants. Matt picked us up from the airport which was super convenient, and was a great host, always there to help.
I would stay here again, for sure.
Do yourself a favor if you're visiting. Rent a bike and explore for a day. It's a flat city, and you can get pretty far. I think Matt said he had a couple of bikes he was about to start renting.
And there's a mean Hot Sausage Po Boy around the corner at Gene's. Great late night snack.

The location and setting provided by the Bearigny Suites give you the best of both worlds in New Orleans. It's close enough to fun of the French Quarter to get the fun easily and quickly but far enough away to also be a quiet retreat. Hi, we stayed in Matt's apartment on a last minute trip to New Orleans and our so glad that we did.
I came across the reviews of Matt's apartment and was impressed by the positive note of all reviewers. I made contact with Matt and in no time everything was arranged. Less than 24hrs later we were at New Orleans airport meeting Matt.
Do yourself a favour and book this property and ask Matt to collect you from the airport. It is easy and cost effective and will save you any hassle.
Matt is a lovely guy and his property is exactly as described. It is spotless, spacious, quiet, comfortable and well located.
I am always worried about location and having never been to New Orleans before this was no different. The location is fine - five minutes and you are in the middle of the action on Bourbon Street. It is all very walkable. We enjoyed the buzz of the French Quarter but it was nice to leave that behind when we were done and come back to the tranquility of the apartment - we also enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi in the evening.
Matt is a friendly guy and made our stay so much more than it would have been if we had booked a chain hotel room. You will be very comfortable and well looked after at Matt's Bearigny Suite.

What a great place to return to after a long day touring the city. We greatly appreciated Matt's advice on places to see, things to do, food to eat and where to eat. It was nice to have a host willing to share information on where the "locals" go. The room was clean, private and comfortable and we will definitely recommend the "suite" to any of our friends and relatives visiting the area. "Maw" was a pleasant surprise - just watch your beignets when she's around. Maybe next time we will have an opportunity to enjoy one of your new "suites".

Matt and Steve are great hosts. Whatever you need, directions, where to eat, etc., they know it and take their advice. The little "off the beaten path" diners they suggested were out of this world. It's not far from some great music on Frenchman St. as well...we walked everywhere. The suite is a nice, cozy, upstairs apartment that is way better than a hotel room. The garden with jacuzzi, grill, and dining table is simply a jewel.

What great place to stay when you want to feel relaxed, safe and comfortable. The apartment is beautiful, clean and well appointed-everything we needed, including kitchen utensils, milk, juice and water, coffee, etc.The location is terrific-close to the Quarter, Bywater and Treme. Great poboys for breakfast or lunch right across the street, N.O.Coop 2-3 blocks away for groceries and many fine or funky restaurants within walking distance. And our hosts were wonderful-tuned into our needs and helpful whenever we needed anything.The gardens are gorgeous and property is so well-maintained, you know these guys love their home as much as you will. Great job Matt and Steve. You are a perfect example of southern hospitality!!!

This place turned out to be much better than we could see from descriptions and pictures.
Very clean and beautifully furnished. We could feel that the owners really cared that we have everything we could possibly need to the smallest detail like wine opener, candles.
Kitchen equipped with quality items. Great king size bad, very clean bathroom. Enough space for a romantic getaway.
Entrance to this place is from a truly wonderful garden with a huge jacuzzi , Table and a sitting area.
One evening we had dinner in the garden. You can not have a better setting for a romantic dinner. Perfect lighting and good taste in arranging this little jewel.
The hosts were very hospitable yet not overwhelming, leaving us enough privacy
From now on this is our place to stay in New Orleans

Our stay in New Orleans was a great experience. Matt was the quintessential host. From the moment we met 'til the day he walked us to our car, he made us feel at home and very safe. The apartment was spotless. He went out of his way to assure that we had everything we could have needed. And they surely don't make air conditioners anymore that cool as fast as the one in the apartment. We stayed in 3 different homes during our vacation and the mattress at Matt's was the best. Even the sheets were high quality. It was an unexpected treat. No sore back in the am. Matt introduced us to a phenominal buffet with mounds and mounds of seafood. The garden outside of the apartment made me feel like I was in an exotic paradise. Thank you, Matt. I would very highly recommend a stay at your apartment.

Spent a 4-day weekend at the Bearingy in October, and my only complaint is that the time weny by far too quickly! The proprietors are personable and hospitable, and the accommodations are sparkling clean, with numerous personal touches (candles, a fridge pre-stocked with your choice of beverages, your own courtyard, lit up at night, featuring a disco jacuzzi). Excellent location -- we were able to stroll over to the French Quarter for food in the middle of the night, no problem. If you're lucky and you're a good guest, you might get a tour of the proprietors' abode, which belongs on one of those home renovation and design shows. If you want a Nola getaway spot for two, this beats a hotel hands-down.

Matt & I corresponded several times via email/phone prior to check-in, and I knew I'd made the right choice. He takes prompt/personal care of you from before you get there til after you leave and return home (you'll see).
The space is quiet, clean, safe, secure, bright, comfortable and well-appointed. Plus, there's a private courtyard with a HUGE hot tub . . . . You're in NOLA baby! Go for it!
Located right off Elysian Fields, just 2 minutes walk from Frenchmen and 5 minutes walk from The Quarter. Come on now . . . what's not to like?
And, when Ma trundles down the walkway to greet you at the end of the day overjoyed at your return . . . a slice of heaven.

I could not have asked for better accommodations, a better host or a better time!!! My good friend and I came to Nola for a little R&R.; We found The Bearigny Suite and our experience was awesome from the moment I spoke to Matt on the phone. He was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived, he picked us up from the airport and escorted us to a seafood buffet that was to die for...even though I chickened out when it came to the crawfish! Then he took us to the suite and OMG!!! The courtyard was beautiful and the suite was perfect...very clean and stocked with beverages, snacks, towels, etc. Matt gave us great recommendations on places to eat and things to do, and he even checked in on us to make sure we were OK and happy. The suite is super close to the French Quarter, so we walked there every day. There's definitely no shortage of things to do in that area alone. The music was amazing, as was the food and the atmosphere. This was our first time in Nola and because of Matt, the Bearigny and the general fun and hospitality of the area, we will definitely be back, and we won't even look for another place to stay. Matt, thank you so much for everything, and we will see you soon!

The accommodations Bearigny Suite was simply outstanding. The unit was extremely clean the bed very comfortable. Matt went above and beyond to make our short trip to New Orleans a very memorable one. From our pickup at the airport, until we were dropped off, Matt and Steve made us feel welcomed and at home in their Courtyard Suite. The suite was clean, comfortable, roomy, and well stocked with our snacks and beverages (and the extra pillows we requested). While Tropical Storm Lee kept us from enjoying the back yard and hot tub, we will definitely return.

The Bearigny Courtyard was the perfect oasis of comfort and relaxation... close enough to the French Quarter activities to be a short convenient walk, without being smack in the middle of all the crowds. The room was beautiful, and the hospitality was unmatched. Matt and Steve made sure we had everything we needed or wanted, and they made us feel instantly at home. Maw was the icing on the cake... she's such a sweetheart! Even though the weather was harsh that weekend, you guys made up for it and really made our vacation great. We'll be back!!

Awesome!!! Amazing!!! wonderful!!! are some of the adjetives I would use to describe our experience at the Bearigny Courtyard Suites.. Matt and Steve were supernice and they must definately know what they're doing when it comes down to make you feel welcome...
Hospitality was amazing, from the airport pick-up when we arrived to the drop-off 'till the day we left...the time we spend there and the way they treated us was delightful, the place was beautiful and very very confortable, I will definately be back and experience New Orleans "The Bearigny Way" again.

We had an amazing stay at the Bearigny Suites. Hospitality was incredible - Matt was very accomodating in helping us find our way around the city. The fridge was stocked when we arrived and catered to us specifically which we really appreciated. Matt was very attentive to our needs. My wife and I stayed at the Bearigny Suite Property during French Quarter fest 2011. Our experience was more than satisfactory. Matt picked us up at the airport which is a really nice touch. Matt has carefully and lovingly restored a great "shotgun" house in the Marigny neighborhood. Our room was located off the back courtyard, up a flight of outside stairs. The studio apartment set up includes a kitchen and seating area that is clean and well appointed. The courtyard, complete with a whirlpool spa is a comfortable place to end the day. The fridge was stocked with soft drinks, beer and breakfast food, all at no extra charge. We like to end our Nola vacation nights listening to music along Frenchman St. which is only a 5 minute walk to the property. The convenience to the down river end of French Quarter is ideal. Matt is super attentive to any needs you might have. This is a great place to get a true New Orleans experience in a reasonably safe historic Nola neighborhood. I would recommend this property to anyone, and we will more than likely be back!

The stay at the suite was so wonderful. Steve and Matt could not have been more accommodating. The suite was clean, comfortable, quiet and they even stocked the fridge with beverages of my choice. My stay at The Bearingy Courtyard Suite was truly an amazing experience. Th suite is very beautiful, comfortable, clean, and with all the ammenities any traveler could ask for. A truly great place and great value. Matt and Steve try very succesfully to accomodate requests and make you feel right at home. Beautiful backyard and the 8-people hot tub is a great way to relax end each night of your stay. Very close to the French Quarters, and with the privacy other places lack. Will definetively visit again and again.

Exc. location, suite is better than typical B&B accommodations b/c it has full kitchen + living/dining area. Clean, quiet - no noise from street or neighbors. Well maintained by the owners. Phoenix bar is almost next door, very convenient & comfortable!

This one bedroom suite is clean as a whistle, comfortable, every cable station possible, drinks in the fridge, food in the cabinet...I mean you couldn't ask for a nicer place, and very reasonable price. The owners are absolute sweethearts...There's a hottub right outside too, you can walk to the Fr Quarter. We love this place and would recommend it highly.

Absolutely breathtaking gardens! Amazing what can be done in a limited space. Hot tub was fantastic! The room was cozy and perfect for two and the amenities were beyond expectations. Host is friendly and accomodating and willing to go the extra mile. Definately a place worth looking into. When I return to New Orleans, I will be staying here!

If you goin' to New Orleans, you gotta go see the Bearigny Suite! We had the greatest week here in New Orleans.
The suite is very close to everything, clean and nice and has a brand new shower and bathroom!
Everything was beyond awesome!
Matt is the greatest guy and helped us a lot.
Our trip here wouldn't have been the same without him and beautiful Maw (the dog).

We decided to visit New Orleans for Memorial Day because we have never been. This was the PERFECT LOCATION to see all the sights. The house is located blocks away from the French Quarter. We discovered a gay bar called the Phoenix just a half a block away. We had a wonderful time! Matt and Steve (The owners of the guest house) are some of the friendliest people we have ever met. We Highly recomment staying here. THe Guest house is private, an recently renovated bathroom is gorgeous! Thank you so much Matt and Steve!

I stayed at the Bearigny Suite on my first trip to New Orleans and I couldn't have dreamed up a better place to stay. It really was everything my friend and I were looking for: safe, comfortable, beautiful, and in a great location. We walked to downtown NOLA from the apartment every day, then took long, relaxing soaks in the hot tub at night. I think staying here really gave me a much more intimate introduction to the city--I felt like more of a local than a tourist. Matt was a very approachable and friendly host, too. I plan on recommending The Bearigny Suite to everyone I know (whether they're gay, straight, or anywhere in between) who's traveling to NOLA.
