This studio apartment is one of four units in this unique historical property, the subject of a renovation that earned it an award from the City of New Orleans for excellence in historical renovation. It includes your own deck, a view of the charming courtyard with bubbling fountain with koi; tile floors; stained glass windows; queen sized fouton bed; fully equipped kitchen (includes gas stove, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker), good security with locked entry gate; and ample on-street parking most of the time. This rental is suitable for 1 or 2 people. Save money by preparing breakfast ensuite, and then enjoy the fabulous cuisine of Th...e French Quarter and surrounding area for lunch and/or dinner. Bicycle rental can be arranged; it is one of the best ways to get around and see New Orleans and perfect for such events as JazzFest. A safe large enough for your laptop has been added for a feeling of total security. Early check-ins and late check-outs can usually be accommodated.
We have added bikes to our cottages. Rental for a bike, helmet and lock is $12 per day. Please let us know you would like to reserve a bike or 2 for your stay.
We are also now offering a summer rate of $75 per night, or $400 per week. Come on down for that extended stay you've always wanted to make. Summer is great in New Orleans...less crowded, and the bars are all air-conditioned anyway, so...what are you waiting for?

My boyfriend and I had the privilege of staying here for 4 nights over Mardi Gras. We are 40 something adults and found this location perfect for our needs. We did not feel unsafe at all. Of course, using common sense when coming and going at any location is wise and this location is no exception. We have stayed in the garden district and in the CBD right outside the FQ and enjoyed this location just as much as either of those.
It was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. We either walk or use the street cars and buses for transportation and did not have a problem with either of that from this location.
The cottage was clean and nicely kept up. Eshyah made check-in and check-out extremely easy. There was a kitchen with fridge, microwave and stove that were convenient had we chosen to use them. We vacation in Nola to enjoy their spectacular cuisine so we did not make much use of it except to cool some beers! The size is just as she describes it, suitable for 1 or 2 people. Again, we do not come to Nola to sit around our hotel room. We use it to sleep, shower and get ready for our next adventure. This cottage was just perfect for that.
If you are expecting five star hotel accommodations, this is not the place for you. If you want to experience Nola and its multicultural history, give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. With that said, do your own independent research on the area and its proximity to where you want to explore in Nola.

we really enjoyed our stay in this very cozy cottage. Unfortunately the weather was too cold about zero degree celsius. that nearly was too much coldness for the heating. but it lasts not very long.
apart from this it was a wonderful time here and we really recommend this lovely place!
you can go everywhere you need to, everything is in a walking distance. Bus stop round the corner.
Perfect! thank you! Read more

My son and I have just returned from a week's stay at this adorable cottage. Eshyah has done a beautiful job restoring this place.
This was my 9th trip to New Orleans over the past 4 ½ years. I have stayed at several hotels in both the Quarter and the business district. For many reasons, this is the best place that I have stayed by far and I will definitely be back! The location is perfect. A short walk to the Quarter. The kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator was a big plus. Lots of space for drinks and all those leftovers, as well as a microwave, coffee pot and stove. Eshyah has taken great care to make sure that there is nothing you need to bring when you arrive but your clothes...The living area is small, but there was plenty of space for the two of us to sleep and she even provided an air mattress for my son which he slept on very comfortably. There is also a nice sized closet which easily held everything we brought. My favorite part about the cottage was the backyard. A covered deck with a little table and chairs where I had my coffee every morning, a beautiful pond with koi fish, and a very cute little outbuilding which housed the washer and dryer. It was great to be able to do laundry if we needed. There are beautiful plants in the yard. Constance, who lives in the front house, was around whenever we needed anything. She's an amazing gardener and we really enjoyed talking to her many times during our stay. Just a lovely woman.
All in all a very, very pretty place in a safe and convenient location. Can't wait to return!

My friend and I went to New Orleans for a sightseeing trip. The cottage really was adorable. It's newly refurbished (you can check out the pictures above the fridge that show what it looked like before being restored - wow! What a difference), and is very clean and tidy. The bed is a futon, but a mattress pad is provided and it's pretty easy to set it up as a bed (since our stay was only a few days, my friend and I set it up as a bed on our first day and then just left it that way until we left). We had a little mishap with the keys we were given, but there's a lady who stays onsite and she was able to switch out the keys to give us ones that worked. The cottage is really small. There's just a living room with an attaached kitchen, a bathroom and a closet, but it wasn't bad at all. We found that we had plenty of room, and there is a lovely backyard/courtyard just outside the living room door that we would have loved to sit in and enjoy (had it been a bit warmer). Eshyah, the property owner, is very accomodating. We actually took the bus from the airport which lets you out in front of the New Orleans public library, and she was nice enough to come pick us up from the library and take us to the condo (which was about 10 minutes away - if you take a taxi, the fare is under $10).
The location is amazing; we were able to walk everywhere in the French Quarter. You are really just one block up from the top right corner of the Quarter, which meant that Bourbon St. is about four blocks away and the river is about ten blocks away.
My favorite thing about the cottage really was the location. It was so easy to get anywhere and I really enjoyed walking around the city - I felt like I got to know the city that way.
I would definitely recommend this to any couple or pair of friends looking to visit New Orleans. There is really only room for two, so no groups, but it really is a great place to stay and the price is very affordable.
