    Additional Location Information

The neighborhood features one of the hottest restaurant boulevards in the city. In the past year we have had 10 new restaurant openings, and you can walk to all of them all from my house which is located a half a block off Freret. Check out this article on the neighborhood restaurant scene: (website: hidden)

The St. Charles Ave streetcar is 6 blocks south. There is a dog park and playground across the street and the neighborhood is very walkable. Audubon park is a 1.5mile walk and the Tulane and Loyola campuses are about the same distance.

      Super Bowl Xlvii

Left on 02/06/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Our group of Ravens fans, just returned from Nola & Super Bowl Xlvii & had the best trip & alot of what made the trip great was Kimberlee & the apt. When we arrived, she had local beers & snacks stocked in the kitchen, as well as Ravens beads for all of us! Kimberlee was more than welcoming & accomodating during our entire stay. She was very helpful with everything from dining recommendations, the best way to get around the city & places to go & see that were more local and not touristy, plus having coolers & chairs for us to borrow for our pregame tailgate party! The apt. location was great - just outside of the noisy city in a quiet neighborhood, with very friendly neighbors, with great places to eat & drink within walking distance. We can not imagine having gone on this trip & staying anywhere else that could have been better!!!

I loved hosting Suzanne & her friends! They were super fun and left the apt spotless!! They also donated a firepit to the backyard which has already come in handy! I would welcome them back anytime. I'm so happy that they won the Superbowl and had fun in New Orleans!

A wonderful place to stay in New Orleans.

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Kimberlee is such a fantastic host, she really bent over backwards to make our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. She was always available if there was anything we needed to know before and while we were there and she kept us up to date with all the local events and has great knowlege of the surrounding restaurants and bars. The double barrel shotgun house has a wonderful feel about it and gives you a real sense that you are in the deep south. It was immaculately presented when we arrived and Kimberlee even put some local food in the fridge for us on our arrival inc beer which made us feel so welcome since we didn't arrive untill 2am. The porch with its chairs and overhead fan makes one smile while just chilling out and watching the world go by. There are about 10 restaurants within a couple of minutes walk of the house inc the finest Japanese restaurant we found in New Orleans. The location couldn't have been better, just a 10 min drive to the French Quarter and here you don't get all the problems that can be associated with inner city living. We often walked around Uptown in the wee hours of the morning and never felt in any danger. There is everything that you need in the area from supermakets, cafes, bars, and even a swimming pool. All in all a fantastic house and area. When I come back I will definitely want to stay here again. Thanks for everything Kimberlee
