Prompt replies from all my emails. No personal contact at all. We really liked the unit, found it clean, comfortable and quiet with every thing in it we needed. Location very good as were the amenities. The grounds and pool are lovely. Restaurant clean, nice meals pleasant staff. Several lovely drives within a short distance, with the added bonus of a large shopping mall 5 minutes away. Walk out pool nice, but very hard to get out of especially for older people. can be solved by a short walk to shallow inlet. Only toilet is upstairs, again difficult for seniors with walking problems. There were a lot of light globes not working which made some of the rooms a bit dark. But all in all beautiful and we will probably go again. Marion

Fun access to water and comfortable accommodation enabling us to do cooking.
The owner is not helped by the resort's maintenance. We asked the owner twice to arrange the for the light bulbs to be fixed and for a sharp kitchen knife. In the end we gave up on the lights and bought our own knives.

A beautiful little getaway, it could be located any where since it has its own little resort environment.
This apartment was very nice to stay in, and neighbours not heard
Very relaxing experience

We were happy with the service provided by the meet and greet person and the service online when booking and confirming details.
We were very happy with the quality of the apartment. It was so close to shops, food and entertainment. We like the views of the pool and being able to use the pools and tennis courts. The only thing we didn't like was trying to park close to the unit because the car park was very busy.

Great location, close to local shops and short drive into Nelson bay. The unit is perfect for a couple plenty of space and the direct access into the pool is fantastic! The only negative would be the two single mattresses put together as a double. The resort restaurant is nice too, big meals for affordable prices.. We will be back!
Great for kids!

Great resort for families- the kids love the pool and the hot tub! We booked through Luxury apartments who own some of the apartments. Ours was decent and clean. On the down-side the area around the communal hot-tub was not cleaned in the three days we were there, only minor issue though.
Escape to paradise

What a surprise when we walked in the door. It felt like we had moved into paradise. The amdiance felt so enviting and the facilities were great. I love a bedroom that makes you feel that you are in the luxury siute of an upmarket hotel. Great bathroom and view over the pool. It was great sitting on the balcony sipping champagne and watching the water in the pool. I want to live here.
Thank you for the experience.

I can't recommend this enough! It's very clean and tidy. You can literally jump right in the pool from your balcony! Am absolutely in love with this place. I would definitely come back again. The only thing is that I don't find the receptionist very helpful. Would have been even better if they are more proactive in helping their guests.
There is nothing much in salamander bay itself but it is sandwiched between anna bay and nelson bay. Just a short ride to either of these destinations where there are more activities.
Well appointed and well presented apartment for two, in a resort
Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in August 2012 | Cherryl
The onsite manager met us at the apartment to show us where everything was.
The apartment was a comfortable size for two. The king size bed was perfect. We used the well equipped kitchen quite a bit so we wouldn't have to eat out every day. The whole apartment was neat and clean with an attractive outlook over the pool. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.
The resort has a small gym with good quality equipment which we made use of. We didn't try the restaurant and it was too cool for swimming.
The location is pretty central and there is a big shopping centre close by.
This was our first visit to Port Stephens where there is plenty to do. The walk to the top of the Tomaree Headland at Shoal Bay is a must. We'd also recommend the Nelson Bay golf course, with kangaroos a plenty.

The door needs attention(front) very stiff I was unable to open it without my husband. The verandah needs a shade of some sort. Other than that it was perfect.
Relaxing holiday resort style

Very good meet and greet service. Resort's facilities were excellent. Tennis courts are of high standards and gymnasium was very well equipped. Lagoon pool provided a water view from swim out and was fabulous. Resort has cafe and restaurant. No need to leave as resort as everything. Walking distance to shopping centre. Apartment itself was fabulous. Bed slightly on the hard side, and limited kitchen equipment. Will definitely stay at the resort again.

Very relaxing holiday

We found the apartment very comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen was a little small, not that we spent much time in it. The bed was absolutely comfortable which was a real bonus. The amenities around the resort as in the pool, gym, sauna, spas were fantastic. We didn't get to use the tennis court. All the staff were very friendly. The shopping centre is within walking distance which we found very handy. We hope to go back there again next year.

Went with the intention of having a relaxing holiday, and managed to achieve that. Spent a lot of time in the pool. Restaurant at the resort serves great meals. Apartment was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities.
My Stay at Pacific Blue 140
Left on 10/27/2011 for a stay in September 2011 | Sarah
Pacific Blue is a lovely 'loft style' apartment which caters for a couple. Direct access to the pool is great.
The only downside was the bed was two singles put together and you could feel the gap between the beds... Might be better to invest in "queen" bed. Some more linen (towels) could also be included.

Split level give both experiences, pool level and elevation as well as separating the activities.
Cleaning leaves a bit to be desired, quite typical in this sort of accomodation.
