Both the apartment and East Village were a great choice for NYC

Left on 03/31/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Being first time international online renters we were a little apprehensive about booking this apartment from australia - our fears were unfounded. This is a great apartment in even a better area. It is small, particularly the kitchen/lounge, but the 2 bedrooms are ideal for 2 couples, particularly given we stayed for over 3 weeks. The rooftop deck was fun but did not get a lot of use in winter. The highlight was the East Village which was sensational - full of action and restaurants and great access to everything in NYC. Our only negative is that the front bedroom is noisy either from the traffic or from the air conditioner which sounds like a 747 if the window is closed. We did need some some additional items for the apartment (glasses etc.) and these were delivered by abi quickly. Everything about the booking, check-in, deposit return was well managed by Flipkey/Suitetopia. We would not hesitate to recommend the apartment or the service to others.

      Great Place to get away

The rooftop access makes this place unique to the area. The location is perfect if you need to get away or enjoy the night life the lower east side has to offer.

A very New York City experience

Left on 08/12/2011 for a stay in May 2011

Easy transaction, easy to find. Abi was so helpful and polite. We found street parking every day. 4 flights of stairs was hard on our old knees, but it was worth it. The apt. is clean, sunny, very comfortable, especially the beds. Nice linens and towels. It is an efficiency apt and there is good soundproofing between the rooms and from outside. The rooftop space is comfortable with a beautiful view of Empire State Bldg, the Chrysler Bldg, and more. We loved the neighborhood. It was safe, quiet, convenient. No touristy stuff, instead little neighborhood shops, restaurants of all kinds, coffee shops, bars, and a park - all on tree lined streets with the local tenants. Everyone was friendly. I'll never rent a motel room there again. I have already recommended it.

      A Great Experience

Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We were a family of five (2 teenagers and 3 adults) and really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Abi was very helpful and accommodating. The location is great, plenty of facilities near by, less touristy than areas around Times Square and you did get a feel for what it would be like to live in NY. The apartment is small (as expected) but clean and well maintained and the roof terrace was great with a fantastic view of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings. We would stay here again if the opportunity arose. The only significant downside is the fact that there were a lot of stairs to climb and this is why we didn't give it 5 stars. We wouldn't recommend it to the elderly or infirm and the access to the roof terrace may not be suitable for some young children.

Great location, lovely clean modern apartment, superb roof terra

Left on 07/15/2011 for a stay in May 2011

Stayed here for a week and it was great. Modern, fresh apartment really centrally located in the East Village, an area we hadn't been to before but loved for the small bars and cafes, park, young and vibrant feel and central to everything else in NY. Abi the concierge was really friendly and efficient, and the apartment was great - clean and with the most amazing huge private roof terrace with fantastic views. For NY (famed for tiny apartments) and a holiday with 2 people (plus 2 others for 3 of the 7 days) it was fine, but 7 people here would be a tight fit. The bathroom is very small indeed.

It's also up 5 steep flights of stairs, so my 73 year old mum-in-law was a little tired in the heat getting to it. The roof terrace is up a nearly vertical pull-down ladder so it helps to be fit for that too! My one small problem was that the aircon was great but like any in old buildings like this, separate units stuck on the windows that were quite noisy. But that's because I'm used to central aircon in my apartment in London, and am a light sleeper - everyone else was fine with it. Even with the aircon off there was no noise from the street below, despite being a 1 minute walk from all the bars and restaurants.

      Great apartment and location!

Left on 07/01/2011 for a stay in April 2011

"What a great place to stay in New York, there were 5 of us and the space worked perfectly just a shame we couldn't make use of the fab roof terrace due to the rubbish weather! Great are too loads of late night bars and restaurants within hopping distance, especially the Italian and the excellent beer shop right below the apartment below. Also really easy to get around with several subways within 10 mins. Love this place, would definitely go back and recommend it to others."

A nice cosy appartment in East Village

Left on 10/01/2010 for a stay in September 2010

Three of us been staying in the appartment. Both rooms were clean and really cosy with nice brick walls airconditioning and really comfortable beds. The bathroom is really neat too.

Bu the best thing about the appartment is a rooftop - you get a reallly nice view of NYC from out there and its a nice place to chill in the evening.

The neighbourhood is one of the best you get in NYC with lots of bars, clubs, restaurants, shops, bike rentals and all the rest you will need. Besides it is a walking distance to Soho, Chinatown, West village and the rest of downtown.

I recomend this place for a short or long stay.

What a great apt. Spotlessly clean throughout. Incredibly comfortable mattresses. Well equipped for a family stay, microwave, large clean refrigerator and new stove. The roof terrace has great a great view of the city. The neighborhood is fantastic, a lovely atmosphere and not overrun with tourists but a great local feel. Fabulous bars and restaurants. We will definitely go back next year, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

      Great place for any occasion!

Left on 06/24/2010 for a stay in June 2010

I tried to find a place where I could feel like I was on vacation and this definitely exceeded my expectations. Not only is the place amazing and the location perfect, but dealing with Dino and Nancy was great too, they were on top of everything and very nice! :)
I enjoyed my stay because I had access to the beach, pools, walking, restaurants, stores, nightlife, etc... the apartment is very nicely decorated, is very big (sleeps lots of people comfortably!) and with the kitchen to cook your own meals and a balcony with an amazing view! that's all you need! definitely better than a hotel...everything was close by! as soon as I am able to, I would love to repeat a "vacation stay" here :)! Thank you Dino and Nancy! :)

      Best condo on Miami Beach

Left on 06/10/2010 for a stay in June 2010

My husband and I have stayed on Miami Beach a number of times, and this is by far the best place!! Location was absolutely perfect, right on the beach. There were two pools - 1 very laid back and big enough for laps, the other at the Grosvenor Hotel with restaurant/bar and more action. Memorial Day weekend had a good fun crowd, but was never too crowded. The apartment was spacious and immaculate, exactly as advertised. We like to stay in apartments rather than hotels because we normally take longer trips and like to cook and settle in like home. This place really made us feel at home. The only thing that would have made it better is wifi in the apartment. The lobby has wifi, and we were able to pick up a random unsecured signal in the apartment occasionally, but having dedicated wifi would have been even better. Kudos to Deano and his beautiful wife for getting us in last minute and having such a great place. We'll be back for sure!
