We stayed at this apartment over Christmas and New Year in 2011. We had booked into another apartment in The West Village, however, the staff at Herrick told us about an early morning spin class in the gym next to the apartment we had booked that may bother us!
The very helpful gave us the option of moving, and suggested the apartment at Tribeca. This is a beautiful property, with amazing views downtown to the new Freedom Tower several blocks away (from the lounge room window) and uptown to the Empire State Building (from the balcony). Our key greeter, Eva, met us at the apartment after we flew in and gave us the run down on the place. The beds were comfortable, and we loved the king sized bed. The kids slept happily on the single beds. The kitchen was functional and well equipped. The heater kept us warm on the winter days, sometimes too warm!
We were within walking distance to the Chambers Street Station. We loved the Whole Foods store a few blocks away and would love to have one of these near our house here in australia. We could pop into this shop after a long day of sightseeing and be able to buy food to quickly prepare in our kitchen. There was also a grocery store under the apartment block. Due to the time we spent there, having a kitchen was convenient, especially with children. There was a great wine store just across the road, and Hugh Jackman's coffee shop was close, too.
There was a laundry downstairs, however, we had no racks to hang our clothes on. That would be a useful addition. The high speed wi-fi was excellent. However, we would have liked another couch to sit on, as there was only one couch and an armchair, not enough furniture for a family of four.
We would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in a fabulous location, far enough away from the maddening crowds, and comfortable enough to be a home away from home.

Beautifully situated in Tribeca with great restaurants nearby, a full service market in the ground floor and Whole Foods 2 blocks away, walking distance to all the sites in south Manhattan, and close to subways. The apartment itself has everything needed to make a stay like being at home, with fully equipped kitchen and baths. Tribeca is quieter than much of Manhattan, which made the stay more restful. I'd return there without hesitation if I were to visit Manhattan again.
