    Additional Location Information

Midtown East is Manhattan´s densest business district, centrally located, with great transportation (6 subway lines and Grand Central Station). Midtown East completes the New York Corporate image: Financial institutions, law firms and luxurious hotels and magnificent luxury towers. Many ethnic restaurants, cozy cafes, swanky lounges, and a very popular bar scene give this neighborhood more than a modicum of downtown flair. The area is home to many corporations such as Met Life and Citicorp as well as the United Nations. The center of Midtown East is Grand Central Station, which has been magnificently renovated, and is an architectural marvel lined with shops and restaurants. With the art deco Chrysler Building illuminating the skyline, every style of home is available in this neighborhood. Midtown East also has a few notable landmarks to its credit. The Morgan Library and Sniffen Court carriage houses on 36th Street are architectural masterpieces as is the Gilbert-designed Beaux Arts mansion. New luxury high-rise buildings are popular among professionals who choose to live close to work. Despite being one of the busiest places by day, there is no shortage of nightlife here. Numerous delicious restaurants, alluring shops, and jazzy local bars keep residents alive at night.

Good location & value but needs a deep clean and decent sofa bed

Left on 01/31/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Our family stayed in apartment 1E for a four-day stay in Manhattan. The kitchen was excellent - clean, well equipped and large for the apartment size. The bedroom was ok, if a little noisy by the road.

The bathroom had a layer of old grime and a very thick layer of dirt and dust covering the extractor fan. The sofa bed was fake black leather (plastic) and uncomfortable as a bed. I think we could have done with a mattress cover under the sheets.

Price-wise, the apartment is amazing value. If you want to stay central on a budget, you can't beat it. But if you're looking for a quality place to stay in Manhattan, it's probably not for you.

      A great location

Left on 09/28/2012 for a stay in September 2012

The best feature of this apartment is its location. It's just half a block away from the Lexington ave/53rd St subway station with access to three main subway lines & only five blocks from the brilliant Museum of Modern art. It's a renovated older style apartment in a building with lots of character & in an area safe to walk around & not overly noisy at night. The apartment has good cooking & bathroom facilities & a bedroom with a comfortable Q/S bed, plenty of natural light & a wardrobe with ample hanging space for clothes. The living area is relatively dark but with good lighting, a four-chair small dining table & comfortable lounge/sofas. Amenities include a quality TV & free WiFi. Locally, there is a 24/7 supermarket half a block away & the street has restaurants offering a range of cuisines across a price range. The apartment is a very good base for the independent traveller.

Great apartment to stay in NY

Left on 10/22/2011 for a stay in October 2011

This was a great find in NY to stay on the weekday in apartment on Manhattan. We booked because it because of the price but for our purpose it was the best value. We got a one bedroom apartment on the East side of Manhattan. We were worried since we did not bring any towels but everything was inside. The only thing they did not have is soap/shampoo/body wash or I could not see it. We had to go to Walgreens around the corner to buy it.

      Great Experience

Left on 08/03/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Staying at the Moma Suite was a great experience. The apartment had enough space for four people and good space for sleeping. It was clean and had all the utensils we needed.

      Clean and Quiet

Left on 07/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the apt. after hearing some stories of not-so-clean apts. in other places where friends had stayed. We were located in a nice area, convenient to several places we needed to go. Would not hesitate to stay there again but would wish for the 2nd floor again--that's as far as I'd like to haul our luggage and supplies.

Comfortable apartment + very nice location

Left on 07/19/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We travelled with kinds and stayed here about one week. Apartment was nice and the location was excellent for us. Many restaurants close by, as well as few drug stores and starbucks. Also few fairly nice bars very close by for those who would like to go for a drink. Area was still fairly quiet and we all slept like babies after walking around the city.

Good value, good location, not a hotel, so check-in services and comfort-wise it's not that great.

      a small apartment located ikea

Left on 05/06/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Apartment very well located (Metro bus) in a quiet area in the heart of midtown. The kitchen is very nice, but does not cook in the French!
Low noise, WiFi and TV effectively. The only downside is the lack of view on the outside and the fragility of plastic Ikea chairs.

Great Location - a very good choice

Left on 05/05/2011 for a stay in April 2011

The four of us stayed here for 3 nights. The location is great for the site seeing - only 20 mins walk to central park or times square. there was a slight delay with check in - we agreed to meet the lady at the apartment at 4pm but at 4.15 she still hadnt arrived & we had to call her to tell her had arrived. she arrived 5 mins later to let us in. the apartment is clean & well presented - the bathroom is not the biggest, there is literally just enough room to turn around but you dont go to New York to spend all your time in the apartment bathroom do you? another small problem is that the bedroom is on the front of the apartment & as this is the city that doesnt sleep there is some noise from the street below.
All in all though a great place to stay.
Also - Rain Thai resturant across the road is really nice
