We stayed here in December, and loved the place and the price! The location is undeniably great - in close proximity to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. The two double beds were very comfortable and spacious for three travelers. Moon was friendly and very kind in letting us have an early check in. He also helped us carry our luggage on our way out. The only problem we had was that the room was a cold at night and we went to sleep with our sweaters. More toilet paper could have also been provided. For travelers who are able to climb three flights of stairs, we'd definitely recommend this place!

Stayed here in October,short walk and your in Times Square. There is a security door before the stairs and you need to get the code from the owner, you do have to walk up about three tiers of stairs, shower could be a bit cleaner. We were only there to sleep and shower, the location was great. It served us well and the bed was comfortable, I would stay here again. The only thing is the shower needs a bit of a clean up but it did not bother us as we have seen worse. The stairs did not bother us either.

We stayed in September 2011 for a week. when booking this trip we looked in to various accomodation options. This apartment cost less than half the price of staying in any of the hotels in this area! Value for money+++
Granted it's not a luxury hotel, but what do you expect at that price?
We loved the brickwork walls and the authentic feel of the place. Just what we'd imagined a New York studio apartment to be. Rough round the edges and real. As soon as you're outside you're in Times Square. Perfect! This is so convenient you could practically dash back during the interval of a show to use the toilet in the apartment and avoid queueing at the theatre!
I slept on the futon bed for 7 nights and found it comfortable enough. We found the kitchen to be perfectly adequate for making breakfast. The internet connection was reliable and fast.
Overall, We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay here again if we're ever lucky enough to come to New York again! -

Here is the fact for the apartment:
- third floor with no elevator, narrow staircase
- noisy air-cond room
- constant noise from next building exhuast pipe - slept with ear plugs
- mushroom fungus growing on toilet wall
- floor boards crooked to the point the fridge door doesn't open properly
- dirty shower that doesn't drain as fast as the water flows (I barely had the shower going)
Gave us the wrong phone number to contact on our arrival. As a result, we waited downstairs with our luggage for 30 mins until we saw another guest who graciously gave us the correct number.
Also, the owner/s love to enter your apartment anytime they wish to access the storage within the apartment. They entered on our first night, then again during our 2nd day. -

We wanted to stay close to theaters and in a rental, and this place was both. We spent very little time there (mostly sleeping), but the apartment would have benefited greatly from comfortable chairs and a bathroom remodel. That said, it was kinda cool to stay above ground floor shops in a place that was much more authentically New York than a big chain hotel. I would only recommend this to a friend if I knew they could handle the grit of authenticity...
