Located in the heart of the West Village (close to Bleeker St), this charming apartment is a perfect base from which to explore the neighborhood including Meat-Packing, Soho, Tribeca and Greenwich Village. Close to the # 1 subway and Pathe train but you will hardly need to use the subway!
The historic neighborhood offers a variety of shops, bars, restaurants and jazz clubs.

My husband and I stayed here for,the month of October. The location was fantastic. Coffee shops and restaurants were just outside the front entrance. Magnolia Bakery was around the corner. Christopher Street Subway station less then 7 minutes walk (the 1 line). We had friends stay from australia for 10 nights. Cosy but not a problem. We were on 1st floor, which is at street level. Security door banging whilst trying to sleep was a nuisance, but we were not used to apartment living. Large television and Internet worked well. Plenty of hot water. A couple of minor things were no plugs for a bath or for the kitchen sink, no tea towel and mould on the shower curtain.
Very comfortable bed in bedroom.
Overall apartment was clean. Furniture was eclectic but function-able.
We were there when Hurricane Sandy hit. Ram, who rented us the apartment, kindly put us up in another apartment for two nights. Ram was thoughtfull and responded to our requests. He also checked in with us after two weeks to see if we were happy, which was appreciated. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment .Response from John - 11/28/2012

Greatest Location Great apartment Great Locality

Our friends arranged this apartment and they advised that dealing the agent was painless and he was there waiting for them when they arrived with the keys and all instructions no worries. The apartment is small but very cosy and very adequate. The location is absolutely sensational with a very short stroll to the Line 1 Subway station, a very short stroll down to the Hudson river, and only a few steps away from some of the greatest little bars and restaurants in The Village. The is a very trendy area with some rather eccentric "arty" people with cute little pooches all called Snookems but that makes it all part of the fun and excitement. We had 2 couples in this apartment however the layout allowed us all privacy more than adequately. There was a reasonably large bedroom with a quite large walk in robe, a narrow but well appointed kitchen with a large fridge, a small but adequate bathroom, a reasonably sized lounge room with a day bed providing 2 single beds (1 slides under the other), a fold down lounge, a small round fold down sided table and 4 chairs, a side board/dresser, and a large flat screen tv, and access to wireless internet. If I had 1 criticism it would be about the other tenants who allow the 2 front doors to slam every time they enter or exit ( due to a dodgy door closing mechanism ) but if that is all I can complain about gee I better wake up to myself! This is a fantastic apartment close to everything and very affordable for a month long stay in New York..."star spreading the news, I'm leaving today..."

We have just returned from an interesting stay in NYC what with the tropical storm dominating our stay! However, the apartment was a great place to be during the storm - it's airy, has a large flatscreen TV and a small but well equipped kitchen.
The beds were comfortable, the apartment very clean and Ram was very good at welcoming us and sorting out the keys etc.
Overall, I would say the place is excellent and a brilliant place to stay in NYC - 2 mins from all conveniences and even better, you're 20 doors down from the front stoop used in Carrie Bradshaw's apartment! Amazing. We had a great time. Highly recommended.
