Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
My family and i checked into our apartment and were amazed by the view..there was a store acroos the road to buy groceries and when i returned back to the apartment and went to put the food on the plates, the plates in the cupboard were dirty, also the cutlery. The inside of the fridge/microwave and stove top were all dirty ..i had to clean all of these before i could use any of them. The beds looked like they had been slept in before us, the linen was all creased and beds looked terrible..one of the pillow cases on the main bedroom beds was dirty, so i headed back to the store to get some clothes washing detergent and i washed and dryed the linen..the last thing i wanted to be doing on my 3 day stay in NYC. I managed to contact Pelican Suites and was told that the cleaners said they had cleaned the apartment and that i needed to take photos and then send to them and then they would send out a cleaner to fix the problems...the damaged had already been done..and i had to clean the crockery etc before i could feed my family...not acceptable...the apartment should be checked before guests check in. One of the reasons we had booked this apartment was for the view..the windows were filthy...fingerprints all over them in all 3 rooms...spoilt the view...also there was no information in the room, how to get on the path train, how far to NYC etc...that would have been a great help for visitors.
I emailed Pelican Suites several times and although they were apologetic and said they would send out a cleaner Free of Charge!!..i had already cleaned what needed to be cleaned...Very Disappointed and if it wasnt for the view we would have left!!!
I also emailed and asked for some compensation, but i didn't hear back about that...i paid in advance and did everything that was asked of me before we arrived, but the apartment was dirty and not acceptable!!! They didn't hold up there end of the deal!!! Every other accomodation we had in the us was great. -

This place had an amazing view of the city. It was very clean :) There was a food store and liquor store right down stairs across the street. Parking was easy in garage. the door men where very helpful also. We walked to hobokon and the path train we took to city for Thanksgiving day parade. Was a great stay thankyou !
