Sydney, AustraliaExcellent location
Left on 01/04/2013 for a stay in November 2012
When you first arrive at the front of this apartment, it might look a little unassuming with its brownstone exterior and small stairway up. But, rest assured, the apartment is actually quite charming when you get inside. It has a kitchen, dining area, bathroom with dryer and washer, living area and one bedroom.
I traveled with some of my family (party of 4) and found that it was a little uncomfortable for us. We couldn't sleep on the pull out sofa because it was sagging too much in the middle to be comfortable so 2 of us took the bed, 1 on the air mattress and 1 on the sofa. Although the property advertises for maximum occupancy of 4, i would recommend 3 adults.
Another negative would be that there are some basic things that should be provided such as a water kettle. I searched everywhere for one but there was only a coffee maker? Also, the oven doesn't work (There was no tension is the dial when i twisted it so perhaps it is not even connected..) and one of the blinds are broken. Also, please be aware that since it is relatively close to a lot of bars, it can get quite noisy during the night.
The best thing about this apartment is the location of it being in West Village. It is close enough to the Christopher Street subway station (a block or two away and easily walkable) where you can go anywhere from there. It is also right next to Bleecker St where there is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, shops, boutiques and cupcake stores.
The transaction of this rental property was very straight forward ($100 deposit, the rest in cash when you get there) and Esmerelda the housekeeper was there waiting for us as expected. -

San Antonio, TexasVery nice, spacious apartment in the west village
Left on 12/22/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Apartment was just as described. Has been recently renovated with very nice quality finishes. Large (by NY standards) open plan kitchen living dining room - very well equipped kitchen, nice big windows, large bedroom with very comfortable king bed and plenty of storage and huge bath with stand up shower and jaccuzi tub, stacked washer and dryer. Plenty of great restaurants within easy walking distance - try aOC, Keste for dinner, Manatus and the Bus Stop for breakfast. Gourmet Garage is just a few blocks away and has nice gourmet cheeses, fresh produce and pretty much anything else you need except wine. Found a great little wine shop a block away from the apartment - Uncorked Wine.
Only complaints were that the apt got alot of street noise at night between cars and people walking on the streets and also could hear the people walking across the floor in the apt above. Also, they need to put out more soap - we ended up buyig soap for the bathroom sink and used dishwashing soap to wash our hands in the kitchen. Small thing and if it's the only thing I can think of then clearly the place was top notch. -

Stayed here for one week in october and it was great. Spacious, clean and with a lot of cafees, restaurants, bars and other locations just outside, I will definitly stay here again. It was very close to subways as well. A very nice area with a good New York-feel to it. Small, brick tenemant buildings. A much better choice than hotels. Also great if you are a family.
There's a very nice restaurant on the ground floor, with a cozy backyard. Other restaurant tips are Rosemary's, on Greenvich ave., just a ten minute walk. Great italian food.
Thumbs up for the owner who was always helpful and responding to emails quickly. -

Brisbane, AustraliaGreat stay in West Village
Left on 10/05/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The apartment is well maintained and in an excellent location, in close proximity to a plethora of restaurants, cafes, bars and transport. We found the village location to be much more interesting than the uptown areas of the city where friends were staying. A short walk to the highline which is just fantastic and Blue Bottle Coffee for a real coffee! No issues with access or communication. I would not hesitate to stay again. Thankyou Olga and Esmeralda.

Atlanta, GASpacious, Light-Filled apartment in Perfect West Village Locatio
Left on 04/10/2012 for a stay in April 2012
I just got back from a five-night stay in this apartment with my wife and three of our children, and I can't say enough good things about it.
The apartment has a very large front room which includes 12 ft ceilings, the kitchen, dining area, new sleeper-sofa and coffee table. There are three very large, double-glazed windows that look directly out onto Bleeker St. The kitchen is brand new. Down the hall leading to the bedroom is a huge renovated bathroom that includes a stacked washer-dryer (!), a jetted tub, and a separate, glass-enclosed shower. There are two windows in the bathroom. The large bedroom also has three windows; all have views of trees in the courtyard and along the street. The king bed is comfortable, and the ample closet/dresser space. There is central heating/cooling that is quiet and effective.
The apartment is in the heart of the West Village at the corner of Grove and Bleeker about two-and-a-half blocks a little north and west of Washington Square. There are lots of great places in the city, but this is my favorite. It is quiet (for New York) and full of great bakeries, restaurants, bars, movie theaters and shopping. The Christopher St. subway stop is about 200 feet from the front door, and you can get anywhere in the city extremely quickly from there.
Check-in was smooth, and Esmarelda was waiting for us exactly as promised. We paid our deposit to Olga via PayPal and the remainder in cash when we arrived; Olga was alway incredibly responsive to email. The apartment is a third-floor walk-up. The stairs are carpeted, and we found them easy to navigate with our luggage; if you have mobility issues it might not be easy.
From a sleeping perspective, the apartment supported five people easily. We had the bedroom, our daughters shared the comfortable, new pull-out sofa and our fifteen-year-old son used the self-inflating/deflating air-mattress. There was plenty of room for all of us, and we never felt crowded.

I have just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay with my boyfriend in this unique apartment. It's brand new, clean, modern and perfectly located in the heart of the West Village. Very spacious for NYC, and light. The kitchen has everything you need, the bed is very comfortable and it has lots of space for clothes. The bathroom is handsome with a wonderful Jacuzzi. There are subway stations nearby to go farther afield. Absolutely recommended!
