Left on 05/09/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Wonderful location and roomy apt. by NYC standards. Great to be able to make our own coffee in the morning and eat in our pyjamas. One person in our party was in a W/C but we knew that 2 flight of stairs would need to be done (she has crutches). This turned out to be harder than expected but we managed.
Suggest better way to get the key from Goura as we were waiting and also more toilet paper! 2 rolls for 5 women for 5 days is not enough!!! -

Two mid-50s friends enjoyed the nicely-sized 2 bedroom apartment (4th floor walk up) immensely. We got a great deal thru a 3rd party hotel booking site. The service was fantastic as other commenters have mentioned. The beds were high end hotel-like and overall the apartment was spotless, including the bathroom. The location was close to so many great areas of NYC that we rarely took a cab or subway although the subway was very close. The pizza by the slice place just outside the front door of the building had fantastic pizza for $2. The apartment does not have central a/c but the wall units in each bedroom did a great job on a mid-70s day although I can't say how the living room would be if both bedroom doors were closed. If there's any "negative" to the place it'd be that the street entrance sure won't impress anyone as you can see from Google Street View. But then again when you're getting this kind of price, quality and size two blocks from Bryant Park, who cares!

Loved every minute of our stay. It has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. To have a 2 bedroom apartment in New York rather than a small hotel is the way to go. The only thing l can fault and it has nothing to do with the apartment itself, is that the outside noise is very loud but that's New York for you. The location was fantastic, it was within walking distance to Penn Station, Madison Square Gardens, Bryant Park, and Time Square. I will recommend Ten15 NYC to anyone that l know that is travelling to New York. Thanks to Erika & Goura for having such a great apartment. We will be back again.

This one bedroom apartment in midtown Manhatten was perfect for our stay!! Location was perfect whether you are a first time visitor or frequent flyer to NYC!! Ample space and clean, service was effortless!! Goura was so helpful on check in and was very prompt!! Only problem was hot water was slow in the shower and was very difficult to adjust. Subway access is very close and easy to navigate. Deli is just down stairs and has anything you might need. Pizza and Chinese take out was good. Overall this was a great stay and would recommend to all NYC visitors. Fyi, this was a 4th floor walk up and they are very honest and upfront about this fact. Can't wait to return for July 4th!!

The location was unbeatable. Not to mention the cleanliness and design of the apartment. Very modern and cozy. Wifi, full kitchen, incredible comfortable beds. Even better than staying at a hotel. Few steps away from the subway station and very close to the action! Times Sq, Broadway, Herald Sq,etc. The staff (Erika and Goura) were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. They did the booking process smooth. Would definitely stay here again next time at NYC.

a very Nice place to stay during my trip to New York. it's very near to the city attraction. Time Square is just less than 10 minutes walk. clean suite and kitchen are full with utensils if u plan to cook and not to eat outside. but the pizza store below the suite is very cheap and convenience store 24/7 just below it. Very Satisfy overall !!!

My eighteen year old daughter and I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment from Sunday through Wednesday. Our stay was wonderful. This is the perfect location, centrally located and within walking distance to Times Square and many subway lines. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Goura was a great host...he met us upon our arrival to get us checked in. Overall, the accomodations made our trip a memorable one. Highly recommend!

Left on 02/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We staying in a two bedroom apartment over the Xmas 2012 period with our two grown children. The apartment has been very well renovated with everything you would need for a stay. Manager met us on arrival and have been very helpful and pleasant from booking to end of stay.
Having said the positives I should also point out what we found to be negatives. The two bedrooms are at the front of building and as such the nights are not quiet, sirens etc. Double glazing would have solved this problem but unfortunately you are only supplied with ear plugs.
There was no laundry in the apartment and no laundry in the immediate area - we did our washing in the bath tub. We were too busy sightseeing to take a cab with our laundry.
We stayed 12 nights and our bed linen was not changed. Not good enough.
In summary, very nicely decorated but it is to sleep in and we found it too noisy.Response from Erika Sampaio - 02/05/2013
Owner
Dear Kristina, Thank you for your kind review. Im glad to know that you liked our apartments, and specially our personal treatment from the beginning to the end. This means a lot to us!
I agree with you that NYC is not the quietest city, we do our best to make our guests comfortable. I would like to bring to your attention that we recently changed all the windows at the 2 bedroom apartments that face the front of the building - 6th avenue, with double reinforced noise reduction material. Yet, there are times you can still hear sirens they are loud, its there job and part of NYC. We also supply ear plugs at all apartments, and we have a great response to this. On Another note, we offer FREE bedding, and linen towel change at our apartments, we simply ask to be notified with 24 horas in advance. You can find this information and many more at our Guest Book directory inside your apartment. Thank you again, and next time you stay with us the same wont happen. Cheers, Erika Sampaio. -

The apartment was clean and well kept. It was convenient to the subways and many times we walked to where we were going too. The bedrooms do face 6th ave, so if you are a light sleeper there are earplugs in the apartment. My family had no problems sleeping through the noise. Also, the apartment is a 4 story walk up. Overall we loved it. We will definitely use this apartment again.

There are so many great things to say about Ten15! Let's start with the perfect location. In middle Manhattan, walking distance to Bryant Park, Time Square, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, and lots of great shopping. Short subway train ride to Uptown, Central Park, Museums, upscale shopping, and Lower Manhattan. It's like you actually live in the City. Great pizza by the slice right down stairs, nail salon in the same building so you can get a mani/pedi and a massage without having to leave the building.
We stayed in the studio, but the owner let us look at the one and two bedrooms also. The rooms are beautiful, with original hardwood floors and exposed brick. Kitchens to prepare meals (there is an organic food market a couple blocks away. Bed was super comfy. I read some reviews that complained of noise, but we had no problem. Room was private, convenient and secure.
Owner was super nice, and quickly responded to calls and text.
Overall we had a wonderful experience, and will be staying again when we go back to NY. -

My second stay here at Ten15nyc this year and love to call it home while in NYC. I stayed in the two bedroom suite on the street side and love that it has so much space - rare to find in the Big apple. There is no elevator and the stairs will require a climb - but it is very secure. The beds are ultra comfortable, the couches and chairs are cozy. Amenities such as iron and ironing board, closet & shelves, alarm clocks, lamps - give a feel of homelife. The kitchen (stove, microwave, full refrigerator, full sink, coffee maker and other small appliances) is tremendously useful especially since the location of Ten15nyc is so close to Times Square, Bryant Park and Herald Square (tho there are no grocery stores close - yet corner markets and drug stores have grocery products). Although the night sounds and sirens of the city find their way in at times... the experience is great. Otherwise, light sleepers may want to bring ear plugs in the event they are necessary. Flat Screen mounted tv, dvd player, free wifi and full cable is a huge bonus!!! I've been to NYC several times through the years and must say this is the best find yet!! Can't wait to return in 2013!!! The management team of Erika & Goura provide excellent service...

The property is exactly as photographed, and just what we expected. Goura met us promptly upon arrival, and was so friendly/helpful with tips on where to go and what to do in the area. Bryant Park is a jewel! There is so much that is very close by, just as represented by the property description. The 3 flights of stairs are steep, but that is NYC standard. Overall, a great experience. If I went back, I would pack a little differently: I would not bring my blow dryer, there were 2 in the apartment. I would bring a facecloth or 2. (Only bath towels and hand towels are provided.) Not complaints, just information for you guys reading this.

We looked all over for a reasonable price and great location and my husband stumbled on this gem! The location is wonderful 5 minutes from Time Square and Bryant park, a perfect place to ice skate and shop. 5 minutes from Empire state Building and a cab was easy to catch if we wanted to venture further. The apartment building is older but extremely safe!
Bonus a great Chinese restaurant steps from the building, cheap eats at the pizzeria below and a super friendly Nail shop in the same building to get a pedicure after a long day walking! We will be back! Thank you Erika and Goura for such great service and making us feel welcome. -

This was the first time we rented an apartment in NYC and were happy with Ten15nyc. The locationis perfect for walking just about everywhere. Bryant Park is 2 blocks away. The Macy's parade came right by the door although the apartment does not have a front window it does have a bedroom and bath which offers a view of the side of another building. But that's New York.We stayed in 4R, the one bedroom efficiency. We did have issues with the recently changed door locks and keys but worked it out. The bed was comfy. We plan to stay here again on our return trips.

Left on 11/21/2012 for a stay in November 2012
The apartment is great. What a location! While it was a little difficult to find (over a nail place), once we were met by the people with the key, all was well. The apartment is very nice, and super clean. But the really amazing thing was the service. We had trouble with the tv remote about 8:00 at night. We called and within a few minutes they had someone there to check it out. And they had another remote. I would have been fine with someone getting it resolved in the morning. Wow.
Despite being right in the middle of everyrhing, the apartment was very quiet. This place was just fantastic. -

Our two-bedroom suite was larger than we expected to find in Manhattan, and it was clean, well decorated and stylish. Our 4th floor room meant we had to carry our luggage (and ourselves) up the stairs, but this is a small price to pay for the space and amenities provided in our room. It is situated a very short stroll from Bryant Park, Broadway, Times Square, various subway stations and a nice walk to the Rockefeller Centre.
We had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen for those who like to self cater. We will stay here again when next in New York and will be recommending 1015NYC to friends who travel to New York. -

We stayed in this apartment for 6 nights. The apartment is in an excellent location with Times Square and the Empire State building only a 5-minute walk away. The apartment is spacious and clean. We stayed in apartment 4F so our bedrooms were at the front of the building which meant a lot of traffic noise, but hey you're in New York so it is to be expected. We had earplugs with us and they did the trick. The beds were very comfortable! There is a small supermarket next to the apartment, very handy!! Hurricane Sandy hit New York on the last 2 days of our stay and we were so glad we had a nice apartment to stay in as everything was closed down. I cannot recommend this apartment high enough. Just a special mention and a big thank you to Goura. He welcomed us on arrival and gave us all the information we needed and answered our questions (quite a few). He's a great guy and super efficient!

Stayed at Ten15NYC during a family girls' trip, and it worked out great. When compared to the cost of two rooms at a hotel, the 2 BR suite was a fantastic, almost too-good-to-be-true deal. The suite was clean, comfortable and well furnished. We were pleasantly surprised to find a neighborhood corner store just down the stairs, and picked up water/bagels/snacks from time to time. The apartment is just a few blocks from Bryant Park (ate breakfast there once), and easy walking distance to Times Square. If we ever repeat this trip, we'll be staying here again. Also, while it didn't bother us, note there are a couple flights of stairs (no elevator).

Houston, TexasVery Comfortable alternative to NYC Hotels
Left on 10/20/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We are frequent leisure travelers to New York. We have lodged at a number of different properties in the past. Ten15NYC showed up in an online search when we were looking for a hotel for this trip. The rates seemed reasonable and everything else in the property description appealed to us. We booked our reservation for 3 nights on Ten15Nyc's website rather than thru the travel site on which we found it. The property is small, it is not a great big giant corporate hotel. It is instead a small apartment building with businesses on the 1st and 2nd floors. We phoned Erika from the airport to inform her that we had arrived and were now in transit to Manhattan. She was most gracious and welcoming on the phone. Goura met us at the property and gave us our keys to check us in. He spent some time talking with us and he was very personable. We stayed in apartment 3R. The apartment was just as pictured on the Ten15NYC website -- living room, bedroom (which could be closed off from the living room with french doors), bathroom, kitchenette. All seemed freshly renovated and the size of the space was much more generous and spacious than most of the hotels at which we have stayed in the past, particularly by New York City standards. The apartment was comfortably appointed -- the bed was awesomely comfortable after a busy day (and evening) of running all over this exciting city -- it was both firm and cozy soft at the same time with clean and inviting linens. The apartment was surprisingly quiet too despite the location being on the very busy and noisy 6th ave. There was no view from our window but that was OK with us -- we have stayed at some very noisy properties in the past and the quiet here was very welcome. The free wi-fi and internet access was a major plus as was the hi-def large screen TV. The location is exceptional. We were able to get around to most of the places we wanted to visit just by walking to them. Times Square is a very easy stroll away as are Grand Central, Macy's, the Empire State Building, Bryant Park, the Chrysler Building, etc.. We spent a most enjoyable morning walking to Rockerfeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Radio City, 5th ave shopping, Trump Tower, Central Park and then back again. That same evening we walked to Grand Central and caught the number 4 train to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to attend the Barbra Streisand concert. This worked out perfect. We had an easy walk to Grand Central and when we arrived in Brooklyn, Barclays Center was directly in front of us as we exited the subway station. Following the concert we took the number 4 train back to Manhattan and strolled back to Ten15NYC. We utilized the 24 hour deli downstairs from Ten15NYC. And one night we had dinner at the Chinese restaurant in the same block -- which was excellent by the way. We would absolutely recommend Ten15NYC. The only drawback for us (and this is only because we are both aging gracefully nowadays -- we are in our mid-50's) is that there is no elevator. Both of us did some moaning and groaning climbing the stairs to our apartment after a busy day of activity in the city. But we knew before we made this trip that the stairs would be a necessity and we persevered anyway...Lol. And besides, once inside the apartment, we were comfortably tucked away for recuperation and rejuvenation for our next round of foraging the city that never sleeps. Thanks to you Erika and Goura. Your hospitality made this trip to New York (our favorite leisure travel destination) most enjoyable. Our best wishes for your continued success...Rob & Louis

We had a wonderful stay at this very nice apartment located in the heart of Manhatten. It is larger than your average place in the city and very well decorated. My only complaints are that we had 5 guests and there were only 4 sets of towels. The temperature of the shower was either scalding hot or cold. Other than that we had a great time!

We have just returned from a week's stay at Ten15nyc apartments. After reading all of the favourable reviews, we stumbled across a very unfavourable forum site which to be honest almost made us change our plans. Do not be put off by these if you also read them. I appreciate that some property owners can operate illegally, but I would advise anyone to check the situation out for themselves. I contacted Erika and was given all of the information I needed to continue with our holiday and we are so pleased that we did. We were attending a family wedding and needed somewhere central and clean for three of us to stay. The front door could easily be missed as it is on busy 6th avenue next to a deli/ nail bar/ and take away shops. We arrived a couple of hours later than planned due to a very busy immigration desk at JFK and we were greeted by Goura who had patiently waited for us to welcome us to his beautiful apartment. The entrance hallway is basically a staircase with views out of the rear of the building, but the one bedroomed apartment we had was perfect. It is only a few months old so the furniture and fittings were immaculate, A small kitchen/diner had everything we could possibly need and this also had a bed settee that my daughter used, a wardrobe and a flat screen tv/dvd mounted on the natural brick wall.Double doors leading through to our double bedroom and a seperate bathroom with a very large shower. Air conditioning in the bedroom which was more than adequate when we opened the double doors to allow the cool air to flow into the rest of the apartment. Although we had no 'view' from the window , we actually found this to be a plus point, as we heard no street noise and the very comfortable beds made for a peaceful night, after a long energetic day around the streets of New York. The Bryant deli was well used by us for breakfast items/ fresh fruit etc and the only advice I would give is to buy what you want and put in the fridge for later if needed, as the hot food tended to 'dry out' by the evening. We twice bought food from the 'serve yourself' buffet in the evening and it was not as appetizing by the end of the day, which was a shame as it tasted fine. There is an abundant supply of eateries close to the apartment and we would recommend the Bryant Park cafe which although slightly pricy was very nice and in pleasant surroundings. Sadly we left the chinese takeaway beside us until the last night but the food was excellent.(freshly cooked/massive portions/ and cheap as chips) Basically unless you are after a posh hotel I genuinely could not suggest a better place to stay in New York. We spent very little time indoors but were extremely comfortable when we did!!

We stayed in the studio apartment at 1015 6th ave for a week's stay in Manhattan. We checked in with no problems, and the place was very nice. The location was perfect - we were a couple of blocks from a subway line, 10 mins from Time Square, 10 mins from Empire State Building, and a huge assortment of pubs (tried to hit every Irish pub in Manhattan...came close I think!), restaurants and sights that were very accessible. We spent most of the week on foot or a few subway journeys. We managed to run in Central Park (a 20 min walk) a few times, and really enjoyed our stay. Being a studio apartment, it isn't big (as expected) but considering we were just there to sleep, shower, and grab a quick breakfast before heading out again, it made a great base of operations. Noise-wise things weren't bad considering we're right on 6th ave, although having the air conditioning on in a small place is a bit noisy, but that's how things are in a studio apartment.

Just got back from New York last week and stayed Ten15nyc for 3 nights with my husband, my parents and brother. We stayed in the 2 bedrooms apartment on the 4th floor. My parents stayed in one bedroom, we stayed in the other one and my brother slept on a pull-out bed in the living room. That was quite nice and we were able to make small breakfast and coffee in the apartment before doing sightseeing stuff. Everything is clean and neat. The location is great and it was so easy to get to those hot tourist spots. I would recommend it if you travel with families!

We spent a great night in the Studio apartment! The room was incredibly clean and had all the amenities you could possibly think of. The location of the property can't be beat. Everything is within a short walking distance or a very quick cab ride away! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an incredible place to stay in NYC! We will be back.

Great rate for the stay in NYC. The Location was very easy to locate and find. You cannot get a better deal than this. Thank you again for everything.
Even though we got there early, they were so helpful to store our luggage and move them to our room when we got back. That's true dedication!
Lovely pullout sofa with mattress. I loved it very much. Cannot wait to rent out this property again! Thank you so much... -

Excellent location, large enough for a family of 5! Great to have a full kitchen. Only drawback was meeting up with staff to get into our unit! They seem to deal with people who fly in more than those who drive in! Thankfully the cleaning staff were able to connect and let us in so we could leave our luggage even though unit wasn't cleaned yet!

My 21 year old daughter and I stayed here and it was perfect for what we needed. We didn't use the kitchen but certainly could have. It is large enough for at least three people as the couch pulls out into a double or queen. It was very clean and I had absolutely no problems contacting the owners and setting up a time to meet for our arrival. One thing to note is that it is up several flights of stairs with no elevator. It was fine for us but I don't recall reading that anywhere so if there would have been diabled or elderly people it would not work. The only other downside was that the airconditioner is loud. They did leave ear plugson the night stand so they must be aware of this. Other than that there was no street noise or neighbor noise. I would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. It is within walking distance to theaters and lots of restaurants. We had a fabulous time.

You cant go wrong with the location of this apartment - right in central midtown, walking distance from Times Square, Broadway shows, Fifth avenue shopping (or window shopping!) and close to Penn Station. We stayed in a 1 BDR and it was perfect for the 3 of us - a decent sized bedroom (by NYC standards), bathroom provided with towels and even little toothbrushes, a large living-dining with a sofa-bed. The open kitchen was fully equipped, right down to a blender! Although we ended up using only the microwave since we were constantly eating out, full meals could be cooked there if required. Booking via email and checking-in was handled very smoothly. Erika was very accomodating with check-in hours since we were not sure when we would actually arrive, but there were no hiccups, and keys were provided within 5 min of us arriving. Just one warning - our apartment was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator - would avoid this for elderly people. Also the flat we stayed in did not have any view...but since we came back mostly late at night to sleep, it didnt really matter. Overall its a great place at great prices to base your NY stay.

Incredible space here at Ten15 NYC - with all amenities needed. Fashionable and current. Free WiFi. Full Cable TV, DVD Player. Perfect location - blocks from Herald Square Macy's, Bryant Park, Times Square. Couldn't find a better deal on price, location and space. The comfort level here was the best I've experienced in my 10 years of travel to NYC. Having windows to the outside world of NYC were nice in this two bedroom unit. Management gave utmost care to every detail and was very hospitable. I can't wait to go back - had the feeling that it was my own apartment in the middle of everything. These guys know service. I travel about 200 days a year and cannot say how much I enjoyed my stay at Ten15nyc. I stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. This unit is everything you need in an extended stay with your family. The location is unbelievable - everything is within walking distance. There is a view of the Empire State Building out of one of the windows! My relatives were so impressed. The accommodations were well thought out - from stylish kitchen with caesarstone countertops and soft close cabinets to the well designed bathroom with modern tile (I shoot design TV shows). They even left cookies for us in the kitchen! A nice warm welcome touch. Erika and her staff were always available for anything. They are so friendly and hospitable and it definitely shows in how they maintain their units. I will definitely be back.

We stayed 4 nights in this great little 2 bedroom apartment. It looks brand new - very clean. Best feature is the location for sightseeing, less than 5 minutes walk from Times Square, Empire State Building, Macy's and shopping on 34th street. Central Park a lovely 15 minute walk up 5th avenue (if you don't stop to shop!). We left NYC by train from Penn station which was also an easy 10 minute walk. Everything else in New York City easily accessed by subway 2 blocks away.
Lovely little touches like disposable toothbrushes in bathroom really make you feel at home. We didn't use the full kitchen, as there was heaps of cheap restaurant all around us, but everytthing was there if you wanted to cook for yourself. Erika emailed us every day to check everything was OK.
Communication with landlord excellent. Keys available immediately. I noticed the kettle was busted, so emailed Erika and it was replaced same day while we were out sightseeing.
The only drawback is also the location right on 6th avenue. We learnt why Frank Sintra sang New York is the city that never sleeps - the traffic noise went all night. I popped in some earplugs after night one and problem solved. The stairs to the 4th floor after a days sightseeing were a bit daunting also.
Would definitely stay again if we get back to New York. -

Stayed at one of Ten15nyc apartments this weekend with some friends and we loved it. The check-in process was well organized by the owners and they were very accommodating. The unit itself was simple and clean with a large bathroom (by New York standards) so it was perfect for our small group. We had some issues with the heater on the first night (too hot), but Erika was quick to get that fixed and the rest of the nights were comfortable. Very convenient location since we were visiting people both uptown and downtown. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a convenient apartment that is still considerably cheaper than any of the hotels.
