Additional Location Information
While the Financial District typically brings to mind Wall Street and the World Trade Center, New Yorkers now know it as an up-and-coming residential neighborhood with great shopping, restaurants, hotels, bars and wine stores — against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers and narrow, cobblestone streets dating back to the original Dutch settlement of New Amsterdam. Thanks to the area's unparalleled subway access, though, you can get virtually anywhere in minutes once you're on the train:
* Times Square / Theater District: 15 minutes
* Madison Square Garden / Empire State Building: 15 minutes
* Union Square: 10 minutes
* Meatpacking District: 10 minutes
* Chelsea: 10 minutes
* Grand Central: 15 minutes
* Lincoln Center / Central Park: 20 minutes
* Park Slope / Barclays Center (Brooklyn Nets): 10 minutes
* Soho, Chinatown, TriBeCa, Lower East Side: 5 minutes
Easy access to cabs and subway, with 1/2/3/4/5/6/A/C/R/J/Z trains just 2 minutes away. One block from Wall Street, easy walking distance from Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, South Street Seaport, TriBeCa, SoHo and Chinatown.
A perfect launch pad to explore all New York has to offer, this apartment is also a serene and luxurious retreat from busy city life. I look forward to hosting you and to doing anything I can to make sure you have a fabulous stay in the city I feel lucky to call home.

New York, NYWish I never had to leave!
Left on 03/16/2013 for a stay in October 2012
I had the most incredible stay at Meghan's luxurious studio! This is one of the best buildings in the Financial District - fantastic amenities (gym, steam room, sauna, 20-yard pool, golf simulation, billiards, and more), super convenient location (one block away from the best subway line in Manhattan, and steps away from 11 subway lines that take you anywhere), the most gracious host (Meghan is simply amazing), and more! The list goes on: great rain shower and deep soaking tub in a bathroom the size of some NYC bedrooms, a large relaxing terrace the size of two NYC bedrooms, a super comfy bed, a really awesome music selection courtesy of Meghan's iPod (which she might have accidentally left on her stereo but I totally took advantage of)... I could go on and on! Here are some tips for those of you lucky enough to book a stay: 1) Financier Patisserie (a block away) is great for pastries or a morning coffee/afternoon tea break 2) Don't worry about packing toiletries, there's a Duane Reade (pharmacy/drugstore) across the street open 24-hours a day, 3) Do go bargain shopping at Century 21 (it might be a zoo, but there are some great deals), 4) Don't forget to pack your bathing suit! As a swimmer, it was a treat to have access to a real pool an elevator ride away. And yes, you can do flip turns in it.

BarcelonaAwsome apartment in Manhattan!
Left on 03/07/2013 for a stay in October 2012
I stayed in this apartment with my girlfriend and we loved it.
First, the host, Meghan, is very nice and she was flexible to meet our schedule (we had a problem with the flight and we delayed our arrival for few hours).
Secondly, the apartment is great! It is cozy, sunny and bright. Fully furnished, clean and with a lot of amenities: terrace with amazing view, gym, swimming pool, internet...
Third, location cannot be better: in the heart of the financial district, few steps away from basically all subways access and direct connection through subway to the airport!
We couldn't have a nicer stay in NYC. Thanks Meghan! -

St. Petersburg, FLVery chic studio, 5 star building, great experience
Left on 03/05/2013 for a stay in August 2012
The studio is entirely as advertised and actually better than the photos (a rarity in my experience)- beautifully appointed with new appliances, wood floors, and a very nice open kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is quite spacious (shower was a big plus). The building is also really first-rate: gorgeous lobby, nice gym, pool, and fantastic rooftop- very chic and with a great view of Manhattan.
This was the first time I stayed in this area of town, and I was pleasantly surprised. It is much quieter than midtown, but I actually ended up enjoying that (you can sit on the terrace peacefully and not have to deal with constant noise like in other areas). There were plenty of restaurants around so it felt quiet but not desolate. During the day it was perfect- all the subways converge in this area so you can literally get anywhere in the city in minutes. Also, the historic buildings and cobblestone streets make you feel like you're really in New York (in a good way!).
The owner was exceptionally pleasant and made sure everything was in place when I arrived. I honestly don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel this nice (and I travel quite a bit), and this studio is less than half the price of a good hotel in New York. This will definitely be my first choice when I return to the city. -

Absolutely amazing apartment with great amenities in the building! Meghan is a lovely person and great to deal with, very prompt to reply to all queries. She provided some great personal notes with local recommendations. I had an amazing time in New York and I would definitely stay in her apartment again. I highly recommended Meghan's place to everyone.

London, Ontario, CanadaFabulous accommodations in Lower Manhattan
Left on 03/05/2013 for a stay in July 2012
I enjoyed a luxurious stay in July of 2012. This apartment provided a stylish and tranquil reprieve from the heat wave that lingered over the city during my time there. How refreshing to be able to return to the quiet and calm of this space and to be able to make use of the building's many amenities, including a pool, golf simulator and steam room - not to mention the unit's own lush and spacious terrace.
The space is beautifully appointed with dark wood and luxurious neutrals. The kitchen, with its high-end finishes and appliances, boasts all the amenities one could possibly need to cook a meal - whether simple or gourmet. The bathroom is sprawling and spa-like. The whole unit is extremely clean and comfortable.
Location is great with easy access to numerous subway lines, and easy walking distance to downtown's tourist sites.
Highly recommended. Will stay again next time I'm in New York.
