This stone-built, semi-detached cottage is set on the outskirts of the village of Newbiggin-on-Lune in Cumbria and sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. Brownber House is a stone-built cottage, attached to the owners' annexe home, 0.5 miles from the rural village of Newbiggin-on-Lune, 6 miles from Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria. This cottage sleeps ten people in five bedrooms, consisting of one king-size double and one double room, both of which have an en-suite shower room, two twin rooms and a single with pull-out stacker bed, as well as a bathroom and separate WC. The cottage also has a kitchen with breakfast table, leading to a dining room with... open fire and double sofa bed and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside there is ample off road parking, a small front gravel garden and a spacious, enclosed rear garden and woodland with furniture. Brownber House is an ideal base for walks, cycle rides, fishing and birdwatching.

Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, free WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter packs for open fire and woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. Off road parking for 4 cars. Secure bike storage by prior arrangement with owner. Small front gravel garden with picnic table. Spacious, enclosed rear garden and woodland with additional seating and BBQ. Three well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pubs 2 miles. Note: Due to livestock in the surrounding fields, pets must be kept under close control when outside the property. Note: The pull-out stacker bed from the single bedroom can also be used in one of the twin bedrooms.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  I booked Brownber House for the weekend with my extended family, including young children.
  
  On arrival the house was warm and welcoming. We all had a little explore and found everything we could ever need for our stay. The cottage is beautiful, better than any of the pictures on the website. The views around the cottage are amazing and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing trip away from our busy home lives.
  
  The cottage is set up for the amount of people that it holds, plenty of seating, toilets, showers etc. The kitchen is also set up with huge cooking pots, making it easy to feed 10 at meal times.
  
  There are plenty of books, games, maps, dvds and information folders of the neighbouring areas for you to find somewhere to visit or order a take away from.
  
  The log fires set each evening off to a cosy start and the huge dining roon table is great for family meal times and evening games.
  
  We all felt very comfortable and welcome for our stay and none of us wanted to leave.
  
  Will definitely be booking another stay at Brownber House!
