Nova ScotiaA Truly Beautiful Spot
Left on 09/22/2012 for a stay in October 2011
We spent Thanksgiving weekend at The Yellow House. It is located in beautiful Tors Cove. We had fabulous weather for hiking on tThe East Coast Trail (pretty much right outside the door). We experienced spectacular sunrises, starry nights ands lots of peace and relaxation. The house is equipped with everything you need, all you have to bring is your food. Even had a roaster for cooking our turkey dinner. Mary acts as the property manager, she's sweet, live across the street. There is a grocery store about a 10 minute drive. Book a stay @ The Yellow House and your stay will be all you want it to be and more. Also, Jean the lady who looks after the reservations makes it a breeze to get your visit arranged.

WinnipegRelaxing with a beautiful view

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We loved the space and the views. Coming from the Prairies - seeing the view of the cove each morning was terrific. Exploring the trails nearby was a treat (and the walking sticks provided were a hit with the adults and the kids). It felt like a true vacation staying here (instead of just a hotel room in St. John's). Would recommend the Yellow House to anyone who's looking to get away and relax. Also, Mary (lives across the street) is very friendly and helpful.

Lovely detached, fully equipped house with lots of nice touches - house is used occasionally by the owners so you feel that they are genuinely creating a home-from-home experience. Plus the delightful Mary lives opposite and provides helpful advice and a lovely welcome.
We had amazing weather and views for our 3 night stay. But even if you were less lucky with the weather, this house is in a great location for trips to St John's or down around the peninsula.
If you are touring Nfld, we also recommend Seaside Suites at Woody Point, Elizabeth J Cottages at Bonavista, and River Tides B&B; at Norris arm. -

We loved where the yellow house was situated in this lovely little cove and an awesome view of the atlantic Oean. The house was comfortable, offering all the appliances to make life easy, and great bed linens. We knew we were on Vacation! Jean helped us with the local attractions, and Mary, the neighbour, made our visit so much fun, by directing us to other places of interest. Her blueberry cake was also first rate!
