This newly furnished 2 bedroom/1 bathroom upper right unit in a four-plex is perfect for a small family beach vacation. It features nice hardwood floors, updated kitchen appliances and remodeled bathroom.
The living room has one comfortable couch, a coffee table, two wicker chairs and TV. There is a dining table that seats six with additional seating for three at the kitchen counter. The kitchen has a microwave, coffee maker, oven range, refrigerator and cabinet space for storing food.

Great location in terms of close to everything and the beach just a block away but noisy, noisy, noisy. Lots of partying and loud music until at least 4 am, lots of traffic, etc. We arrived late to realize that we have to put linens on the bed which was a bummer but generally everything was clean and well-maintained.

just don't invite extended family! this year we thought it would be fun it is better when it was just my wife and I with the kids. We absolutely love this area and have really enjoyed staying with burr white love the beach!!

I really enjoyed being on the peninsula and being so close to the beach. The neighbors were all congenial and I got to know a lot of them during my stay.
In the unit itself, the DVD player and the stereo did not work and the Universal TV Remote was not programed and it made finding stations very difficult.
Jane from the office was a pleasure to work with.
When I moved in the first time, the blender and the toaster didn't work but were replaced as soon as I made them aware of it.

It was a lot smaller than I anticipated and the age of the place really showed e.g. in the corner of the walls, peeling paint, etc. The worst was the garage with a ton of rusted nails sticking out right at eye level. Potential liability! But, overall the property was great, had everything I needed except a dishwasher, the bed was comfortable and I was happy with it.

It's a wonderful location because it's so close to the beach. It is a bit loud at night because of it's close proximity to bars and restaurants.

Had a great time in Newport.. Such a great location literally 20 steps to the beach!! great restaurants, bars, Shopping, Went to Balboa Island so fun! Had a great time would recommend it to anyone! Next time we want to be right on the beach front! The
only negative was we would have liked to have an outdoor area to hang out in the evenings. Next time we will get beach front.. Great Time! Great Location! -

We loved the location on 18th street where surfing and boogie boarding were excellent. We were steps from the sand and boardwalk! Although we worried that the traffic noise would be bothersome, it actually wasn't a problem. The only area that needed a little facelift was the community barbeque space for the complex.

Recently my three young sons and I spent a mostly happy week in this unit. I twas the perfect distance form the beach, it was clean and for the most part well-appointed, and the managers tried hard to be responsive.
Sadly I forced to call these managers repeatedly during my stay. First, a key slat on the bunk bed broke when one of my children tried to climb the ladder to the upper bunk. Then we found that the cable TV that was supposed to be in my bedroom had not been hooked up to a cable box -- it got no reception whatsoever.
Then the bottom panel on garage door broke off when we were closing it, trapping my father's car in the garage. When we finally raised it up it wouldn't close which meant we had to leave the garage door open all night.
inside the unit, wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the mpp and broom and broken.
As I mentioned, the managers in charge of this particular unit returned my calls promptly and politely. But it took them three days to repair the garage door and the bunk bed and the TV were still broken when we left.
Despite all this I'd recommend this company to others visiting the area. I don't feel that I was mistreated or mislead. I think it was just bad luck.Response from Burr White Realty - 04/01/2010

We do try to keep our housing in their best condition to avoid any issues. Our maintenance department has ensured the bunk bed and garage door are fixed and in working order. The television is set up properly for basic TV and the wallpaper repaired, as well. Had wonderful family vacation at Newport. Location was great, close to beach and everything else. Property was nice and just the right size for family of five. Would come back and stay again. Only negetive on Balboa Blvd and gets a little loud from traffic noice. Burr White was great to work with and would not rent thru anyone else at Newport.
