Charming Newport cottage just up the hill from Newports Harbor. Easy walk to downtown action but in a quiet neighborhood. Bright and peaceful with private patio & off street parking. Sitting area is bright and cheerful with gas stove. Large yard for those bringing there dogs. 1-2 extra guests can be accomodated with aero mattress in sitting area.

Easy access to all major places in Newport ie. Cliff walk, Breakers, Fort adams, Mansions and downtown. Dog friendly as well. All around, a great place to stay!

I stayed here with a female friend over the Labor Day weekend last summer. I'd never spent time in Newport and was looking for a small cottage close to the heart of town. This was perfect! As the listing promised, it's a charming small polo barn that's been converted set on the owner's large, lush and very green property (gazebo is included, which guests can use). The location is a quiet residential street in an upscale part of town around the corner from the Yacht Club and a very short drive away from Newport's main hub of restaurants and shops. Inside there's a kitchen with a small eat-in area, refrigerator and microwave; living room area with TV, etc.; and a cozy bedroom with ample storage (a bureau and a large closet) with two very comfortable twin beds. I particularly loved the unique, extra large bathroom with shower. A sliding glass door off the living area opens to a small private patio amidst a garden. One added bonus: While it's an ideal vacation spot for two, the owner will accommodate one or two additional people if you want to have a friend or relative visit overnight during your stay. She'll provide an aerobed for a small additional charge, and the place is even pet friendly. Upon arrival, we found that the owner had graciously stocked the pantry with some basic food items like water, yogurt, English muffins, etc. There's convenient off-street parking available in the driveway; if you don't have a car, the proximity to 'Newport central' seems to be also manageable by bike or on foot.
You'll be pleasantly surprised because the interior photos posted of the Barn didn't completely do it justice - it's almost all-white interior is very spacious and beautiful. It's the perfect Newport getaway. I'm returning for another long weekend again this summer. You'll love staying there!

Spent a weekend here to attend a friend's wedding. The owners were very helpful and gave us tips on what to do and even suggested a nice running path for me one morning. Very hospitable and convenient to the area.
