Lake Owassa is in Frankford Township, Sussex County, NJ. The lake is owned and managed by the Lake Owassa Community Association (LOCA) which is comprised of 260 members with lakefront homes. Owner is a bona fide member of LOCA. The lake is 1 1/2 miles long and 1/2 miles wide. 20' deepest depth. Excellent quality of water. Good for swimming and fishing. Freshwater fish include bass, pickerel, catfish, sunny, perch, crappie. Bounded on south and east by Bear Swamp Wildlife Management Area and on west by Stokes State Forest/Kittatinny Ridge of Appalachian Mountains
