The Cairngorms National Park offers all kinds of sporting and leisure activities for all age groups amidst beautiful Highland scenery, including excellent fishing, golf, clay pigeon shooting, pony trekking and water sports. A wide variety of Scottish wildlife can be seen on leisurely walks or more strenuous mountain expeditions. The resort village of Newtonmore is famous for being first to offer pony trekking as a sport - visitors can still ride Highland ponies into the Monadhliath Mountains. Had a fantastic time in the lovely village of Newtonmore. The cottage was ideally located. It was spacious, very clean and very well equipped. It also had a lovely very well kept gardens. We had loads of fun following the wild cat trails and enjoying the stunning views of Netwonmore and its surroundings.

Bungalow was very spacious, clean, comfortable beds. Very central location for sight seeing and close access to shops and restaurant at nearby hotel as well as of road parking. Would definately recommend

Strathalder is a very convenient bungalow tucked away just off the main street and so handy for shops etc. It really is a lovely property and so comfortable. The only downside, if there is one, is that I should think in the colder months keeping it warm would be jolly expensive as electric has to be paid for, and it is all electric. The bungalow would comfortably suit 6 adults. There were only 3 adults in our party so plenty of room. Newtonmore is an ideal
place to stay as it is so central for touring around.
