EdinburghLovely 'dog friendly' cottage in an ideal holiday location
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Firstly, your agency were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. It's the first time we have booked through yourselves and will definitely recommend you to friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Newtonmore staying at Ballathie Cottage. The accommodation was perfect for us, peaceful but yet not in the middle of nowhere, and having onsite parking (carport) was a definite plus - whatever the weather, you are undercover at all times. The cottage was very clean when we arrived and felt very homely and welcoming. The patio doors from the lounge led out to a pleasant seating area in an enclosed garden which was ideal as we have a cocker spaniel who loves the outdoors. The only issue we had (which may not bother others)was the dining area - very small within the kitchen which was quite dark.
Plenty of 'doggie walks/areas' nearby was another bonus, and in the evening a stroll to the local railway station just at the end of the road was very pleasant - really felt like you were on holiday.
We always had a 'doggie stroll' late afternoons after our busy days out and a welcome stop at the Glen Hotel(sitting outside) was ideal - they welcomed dogs and always had bowls of water out for them.
Newtonmore is a great base for exploring lots of lovely towns and villages.
We hope to return sometime and will definitely consider booking this cottage again through yourselves. -

LudfordLovely location, good sized bungalow, well equiped.
Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
A nice bungalow in a lovely location. You pick up the keys from a local hotel (serves good food) which was not a problem. the bungalow was clean and tidy but the decor was a bit tired. For our taste the beds were too hard and not all that comfortable, better quality mattresses would improve this.

Bright sunny cottage with lovely woodland views, large garden. Very easy to look after inside with all electric appliances and wood floors. Very nicely presented. Good location with walks from the door but also shops within walking distance. We enjoyed the Wildcat trail.

Left on 07/20/2011 for a stay in June 2011
House was located in ideal location for touring - Inverness, Aviemore, Nairn. Situated in a peaceful area, very relaxing and comfortable house, like a little home from home, with all necessary amenities. Only one tiny criticism - having to put money in the electric meter, would rather pay a little more for rent than have to think about 'what if it runs out', but it wasn't too much of a inconvenience. We had a really enjoyable stay.
