An old village wine growers house, parts of which were an ancient forge in medieval times. The house is in the department of the Herault, Languedoc-Roussillon, France, it is situated in the heart of the village on the circular Autour du Chateau, within walking distance of all amenities. This charming,yet spacious village house,has been fully restored and tastefully furnished. The house is located in a wine growing village surrounded by vine yards only a 5 minute drive from the lively medieval town of Pezenas,home of Moliere, with its period architecture, a great choice of restaurants and cafes, art galleries, and a super Saturday market. The famous Canal du Midi is 15 minutes away. Just 12 minutes drive is the St.Thomas 18 hole golf course set in beautiful scenery. An ideal base for a family holiday with sandy Mediterranean beaches just 20 minutes away: visit Grau d'Agde, Portiragnes Plage and Valras Plage. As an alternative to the beach for the children is "Aqualand" a giant water park in the chic resort of Cap d' Agde. There is superb walking in the Montagnes Noires and the wonderful Lac Salagou a fresh water lake for swimming and water sports. The village holds a music and wine festival every July. Other events include the Fete L'Ete in June, Bastille in July, Fete local in July and the Fete des Vendanges in October.
