This Sokala Villas unit is a 2 storey villa with an air-conditioned bedroom on a mezzanine floor and a ceiling fan, over the kingsize bed. A small deck is outside the bedroom door.
This self-contained villa has a beautiful view over-looking the isles in the lagoon.
The villa exteriors are complimented by pine-walled interiors. It features a timber deck, outside of the lounge and kitchen. Just the place for relaxing and having a cool drink while enjoying the view of the lagoon
A small kitchenette if you want to cook in or eating out at restaurants in walking distance

Sokala Villas is located on the eastern side of the island on Muri beach. We are 12 kilometres from the airport. When you come out of the airport you turn right, then drive 12 km out to Muri.
Turn left when you see Sokala Villas sign on the road. Snowbird laundry is on the right hand side as you drive in. There is parking space on the right before the bridge where you can park.
After the bridge you will see 3 storey building where you will find the office

CANCELLATION POLICY
Bookings must be cancelled in writing and are subject to the following cancellation fees:
(a) More than 45 days prior to expected arrival date: no fee
(b) Between 45 and 15 days of expected arrival date: 30% of booking
(c) Within 14 days of expected arrival, or no show: full payment, less any nights resold
IMPORTANT: Please do not consider any confirmed booking to be cancelled by Sokala Villas until you receive our written acknowledgment of our receipt of your cancellation. Sokala will acknowledge all written cancellations by return fax or return e-mail. This routine will remove the possibility of communication problems such as if your initial cancellation fax or e-mail doesn’t transmit successfully.
Please note that due to the airlines occasionally changing flight schedules and the similarity of flight numbers, that to confirm a booking, we will now require your clients’ exact flight time and day of arrival. This is to ensure that we have no hiccups with our bookings for your clients.
Smoking Policy: For the comfort of our guests, smoking is not permitted inside the villas. Smoking is allowed outside on the decks.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
Standard Check-In time: 12 noon
Early check in (ECI) from 6am (when available) at half the nightly tariff for all villa categories. Check in prior to 6am is by pre-registration, by booking for the previous night.
Standard Check out time: 10am
Day room check out (LCO) up to 6pm (when available) at half nightly tariff. After 6pm full night tariff applies.
Since our availability of early check in and late check out is dependent on other bookings, we may not know if either is available until 2-3 weeks before your arrival. Please check again on this, 2-3 weeks before you arrive
Additional costs:
Transfer’s $40 net rate one to two person/s one way. We will organise an airport transfers from/to international flights. Please let us know whether to book this with us.

Our second visit...Private, quiet, your own pool, lagoon only steps away make this a great a find. Extremely comfortable and spacious one bedroom villa designed for relaxed beach side living. We love the fact that we can barbecue or couple of minutes walk to the restaurants we enjoyed,Flame Tree, Sails, Rick Shaw and a 5 minute walk to the French Deli for yummy baguettes and coffee
Launderette at the end of the drive and we called in to the Kia Orana store for supplies ( wine beer ) on the way from the airport
Laurence, Susan and Serena are just so hospitable ...would with out doubt recommend and we will be back ! -

We stayed in the villa with some wonderful artwork which was great for the senses. The furnishings etc were very fine. We enjoyed the private pool and the kayaks - the fish were amazing at dusk. The location is very useful for local restaurants - we walked along the beach to some. The bus stop is just a few metres away. Our hosts were very helpful in particular in regard to making sure we were picked up from the airport at a ridiculous hour! We liked it so much that we are about to return and are so looking forward to this :)

Just a quick note to thank Lawrence & Suz for yet another unforgettable stay at Sokala Villas. This is our 3rd visit to Sokala and as per normal we left there relaxed & with great memories. From the rustic interior, comfy king size bed, massive deck with your own pool to float around in & incredible views of the lagoon and beyond, it's the perfect place to stay in Raro. Great location also as you're close to a few great local restaurants & shops (Stefano's is a must) , towns not far away, buses stop up the top of the driveway and the lagoon is your backyard. Thanks guys see you again soon hopefully ^_^

Welcomed with very friendly helpful but unobtrusive service. Hosts Laurence and Susan wre able to provide advice on nearby and even iusland wide facilities and attractions. We enjoyed having the means to be able to self cater as and when we liked and the fact that there were very good restaurants in walking distance. The grounds and swimming were well maintained and very clean. Having your own pool was a welcome luxury. The location of the villas right on Muri Lagoon could not be bettered.

We've stayed at Sokala Villas twice in the last 2 years and we love it. We took the single level villa with its own pool, spacious deck and wide bbq. We love to buy some fresh fish and bbq it ourselves but there are also some excellent eateries close by. The little italian for instance is a treat. A few steps to Muri lagoon and you have to best of all worlds. Lawence, Susan and Sarina are delightful and evr helpful. We come come to regard them as family.

My wife & I just returned from our third stay at Sokala Villas, and as usual it was an absolute perfect vacation. The staff, Lawrance, Susan, Sarina, Ariki, Pi, Terii & Vou took exceptional care of us, much above and beyond what one normally would expect. It was wonderful to see Kalamoana and Betty again also. On a very sad note, we all lost alistair, Lawrance's right-hand man, we'll miss him.
Sokala is all about relaxing and just enjoying the pure nature of Muri beach. Villa four, at the edge of the resort was quiet and peaceful. The lagoon teemed with life and we both loved not having a TV. The stars at night were amazing! (Ask Lawrance about the satelite!)This area of Muri beach is very secluded and most days there's no one else but you, the dogs who adopt you, and the chickens.
There's lots of eating places nearby. There's a little take-away about ten minutes walk, "La Palmiers" at Te Vara Nui Cultural Village has an execptional cafe with Jimmy taking very good care of the place, "you just gotta try the crepes!" Take in the evening show, if you get the chance, it`s a great way to enjoy the Cook Islands culture. There's "The Mooring" a ten minute walk in the opposite direction with great lunches, my fav was the BLT.
The most notable thing about Sokala is that most of the clientele are returning guests. This emphazises the true "homey" feel of the place. The best way to describe our overall experience is to just say that "we were at home."
Can't wait 'til next year!

My Wife & I have stayed there 6 times in the past 3 years which must tell you just how much we love it.
Great staff where nothing is a problem. We treat the staff as family & they treat us the same.
It is such a nice & quiet place to relax & enjoy a holiday, the way it should be. -

I'm going back to Sokala in april which will be my 7th stay there in the last 3 1/2 years! It is home away from home. It is beautiful, with your own private pool and bbq on your deck it is bliss. Lawrence, Susan and Sarina are like family. It is right on a private stretch of beach at Muri Lagoon...perfect for a stroll or a dip! I love to travel but once I discovered Sokala and the Cook Islands I couldn't imagine going anywhere else! Kia Orana!
