Pats place is superb. Value for money is outstanding (works out about £50 per night!). We had more than enough space for the 3 of us (me, hubby and son). Pat and Orlando are great, really relaxed about everything and made us feel at home straight away, we could have used their seating area and BBQ and swimming pool and they couldn't have done more to make us feel like family visiting but weren't (in your face) just there if you needed them-got it totally right.
The apartment is an annex to their house and has everything you need, feels very homely.
If you want somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of Niagara in a lovely quiet location yet only 10 mins to get there this place will not dissapoint. Thanks for a lovely stayResponse from Pat Puga - 06/08/2013

My husband and I loved and enjoyed our stay at Pat's Country Home. We liked how quiet it was and the privacy. The home has/had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful and satisfactory. The home is very beautiful, comfortable, clean!!! The backyard is/was nice and we took some great scenery pictures. There's also a small pond in the back with frogs in it. It is/was also in a very convenient location for us, not too far from Niagara Falls. Pat was very friendly and helpful to us.
We do plan on visiting Niagara Falls and staying here again.Response from Pat Puga - 05/30/2013

Small, but very comfortable with lots of amenities. Lovely setting. Easy access. Close to Niagara Falls, but far enough to not be in the middle of hubbub. Very nice people. Beautiful property.

Pat's Country Home is best described as 'Bijou', and is a little bigger than it looks in the photos. There is Wi-fi though this sometimes dropped out, but not a major problem for us.
The actual accommodation is located at the back and right of the main house in the photo & is joined onto it (what we in Britain would call a 'Granny flat'). It overlooks a spacious garden which is very tidy which includes a pool, a large trampoline and even an outdoor grill, none of which we used.
Living room was tidy and spacious enough and has a double sofa-bed which we found to be very comfortable.
Pat, & her husband, gave us privacy (not even to pass in front of the part of the house we were staying in; not that we would have minded because they were both very friendly and amenable when we did see them!)
Everything that most would need for a couple of weeks stay was included inside; Filter coffee maker, (with filters), pots, pats, crockery, kitchenware & utensils, a small desk-top oven/grill & even some tea, coffee & sugar were included (which was a nice touch!)
The kitchen is part of the living area, but off to one side as you would expect.
The cooker (with extraction fan and light above) has 2 rings & was contained as part of the sink and fridge unit & I initially thought that this might be a problem but in the end 2 of the best meals I've ever eaten were cooked there, so no problems at all! There is a small freezer section in fridge but is perfectly adequate for a short stay.
The house is situated about 12 miles over the us border in a very quiet area and is easy to get to there if you have a car (as my U.S. fiancée did) though might be a problem if you fly in to Toronto or Hamilton as I did, & don't have one, otherwise it's really easy to get to Niagara Falls and the local stores and cinema etc.
Main bedroom/bed were very comfortable and it, the bathroom and the rest of the house, was extremely clean (I know, I'm a cleaner!).
Liked best? The quiet.
Liked least? Leaving!

Par's place had a private, quiet setting, but still close to enough to Niagra Falls to be convenient. We quite enjoyed our stay. We were easily able to fix meals in the kitchen area , thus saving on expenses. Pat and her husband were welcoming and willing to do whatever was necessary to make our stay comfortable.

Pat, our hostess, was extremely friendly and kind. The cottage was clean, the kitchen had what we needed (table settings, appliances, cookware, etc.) and all were in good shape. We enjoyed the quiet country setting, yet only 10 minute drive to Niagara Falls and the "tourist" stuff. My daughter especially loved chasing frogs around the pond out back. Thank you for such a nice place for an amazing price. Less expensive than most hotels, and we were much more comfortable.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights, and had a fantastic time! It was very clean and very comfortable. Pat was a very gracious lady who at no time was in our way. It was very private and lovely. The unit is small but cozy for two people. The bed was really comfortable. There is a pool there which was very refreshing,. and we used it on our own, which was also nice. Towels, pillows and linens provided. NiagaraFalls is only a 10 minute drive away, But, Pat's place was just far enough in the country where it was private and peaceful. My boyfriend surprised me and proposed to me, which I had no idea was coming, so this place will always be a very special to us. We will be returning again next summer to enjoy another few days of R&R;! We are transit drivers, and having this time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life was so worth it! You will not be disappointed staying here. The unit had everything you could want to make your stay comfortable. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!! If you have any questions please feel free to ask us.

Pat's Country Home is an excellent place to stay when visiting the Ontario side of Niagara. The apartment is about ten minutes from the falls and fifteen to twenty minutes from attractions north, such as the butterfly conservatory and Niagara Glen hiking trails. It's an easy drive to all attractions.
The set up is an apartment with a large screen t.v., recliner, kitchenette (two burner stove, sink, toaster oven, small fridge, and basic kitchen appliances), a full bath with handicap accessible shower/bath, a lovely appointed bed room with very comfortable bed. This apartment with connected to Pat's own home. However, privacy is ensured and we had no issues or at any point and time did we feel like we were in someone else's space or that they were in ours. They allow guests to use their enormous gas grill and their pool. We grilled on our second night and cooked our breakfasts in order to cut down on some costs. One resounding aspect of our stay was the obvious time and care Pat has put into the setup of the apartment. It's impeccably clean with quality furnishing, exactly like her own home.
Pat is extremely accommodating and helpful. She allowed us to use a parking space at another property she owns withing walking distance to the falls as parking can be costly in the area. She recommended places for us to go and efficient ways to get around.
This was by far one of the most affordable and comprehensively inclusive options in the area. We felt we had everything we could want or need right there and will be back again.Response from Pat Puga - 07/11/2012

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived here by how cute the place was. Pat and her husband were super-helpful in giving us tips on where to go and what to do. Very nice and sociable people. The home itself was small, but our family fit just fine in it. I especially appreciated how warm and tasteful the decor was, and how clean everything was. It's just a short 10-minute drive to Niagara Falls, and was a great place to come home to each night. The bed in the bedroom was incredibly comfortable. We'd definitely stay here again if we come back to Niagara Falls. Thanks, Pat!

We checked in on Saturday and was greeted by Pat's son who was very considerate in helping us get an idea of where to go and how to save money on parking around town.
This home was so comfortable and quite and relaxing! Will definitely come back again! Pat and her husband were very kind and considerate and our unit was just perfect for a 4 day get away and close to Niagara Falls and the areas we visited.
Thanks again for a great memory!! -

All was very good, pool was nice, everything was very clean and away from the super busy falls area.
Only complaint was the wireless internet. Signal was very low which makes for slow browsing.
Our host was very very helpful and help out every time we asked :)

We stayed at Pat's place with our 1 year old daughter and found the space rather tight because our little one is very active and busy. Thank goodness for Pat's pool and outdoor space where we could safely and comfortably get away from the crowd's at Niagara Falls and relax. Pat was easy going and great to work with and her grandchildren were very good about us being in their space (the pool/yard). All amenities worked & were clean and we didn't feel we were missing anything. With a GPS it was easy to head into town for groceries or anything else we wanted to buy. We would stay here again given the close proximity to the falls and privacy and quiet of the country setting.
