Location! Location! Location! Governor's Walk is nestled just one street away from the main intersection of King and Queen (where all the horse and carriages hang out), this home is a crown jewel! Go right and you are less than a minute walk to the main Shaw Festival Theatre, go left and you have some of the best shopping, dining and the lake just a two minute walk away. The parks for children are just a few steps away! A wading pool for the toddlers is at Simcoe Park and the big kids (young and old alike) can enjoy the Commons with lotso fo hiking, biking, swimming and tennis! Perfect location, perfect house... and everyone has their... own bathroom!

Governor's Walk features a Grand Room with a dining area, sitting area and fireplace, 4 bedrooms, 3 4-piece ensuite bathrooms, a main floor 3-piece bathroom, and modern appliances. The master suite with fireplace and sitting room provides a unique romantic atmosphere. Governor's Walk has decks both front and back where you can relax and watch a horse and buggy stroll by. You can bring your computer; Governors Walk provides wireless high-speed Internet access. You can also bring your favourite CD's and DVD's. Governor's Walk will suit up to 4 couples. No smoking or pets please. A minimum 2-night booking is required. Governor's Walk is our personal vacation home.

The Grand Room provides the principle entertainment area in the home, ideal for visiting with family and friends. The Grand Room, located next to the kitchen, is a large open 24 ft x 17 ft room consisting of a dining area and a family/sitting area. The Grand Room is dominated by windows on three sides that allow the enjoyment of optimal natural lighting. All windows have wooden shutters to provide evening privacy. These shutters mirror the rich wood trim throughout this room.

Enjoy fine cuisine in the dining area which contains a large table and 8 chairs. Built in cabinetry is adjacent to this dining table. The chef has an overview the dining area from the kitchen. The floor is hardwood to complement the wood trim throughout this room.

Relax in the family/sitting area, an informal space containing a fireplace, coffee table, sofa, ottoman, and chair. The floor is hardwood, partly covered with Persian carpet. Bring your favourite CD's for the sound system.

The chef will enjoy working in the large kitchen which contains two working areas, one of which overlooks the Grand Room. The kitchen includes a stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher,coffee maker, and a host of smaller appliances. The elegant wood cabinets, trim, and floor match the Grand Room.

The kitchen is fully equipped for serving 8 people.

Enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the master bedroom suite, a large 24 ft x 20 ft room consisting of a sleeping area and a sitting area separated by a magnificent Chinese partition.

The sleeping area contains a luxurious queen-size bed, a large armoire, and a complete 4-piece marble ensuite bathroom.

Relax and sip a glass of champagne by the fireplace in the sitting area. This area contains a coffee table, 2 sofas, chair, writing table, TV, and DVD player.

The front veranda is accessed directly from the master suite.

Bedroom 2 is located on the main floor. This room contains a luxurious queen-size bed and a dresser. A 3-piece marble bathroom with shower is located across the hall from this bedroom.

Bedroom 3 is a large 24 ft x 20 ft second floor bedroom containing two luxurious twin-size beds, a dresser, a TV with DVD player, and a complete 4-piece marble ensuite bathroom.

This bedroom has direct access to a large 24 ft x 10 ft upper deck overlooking Davy St. Relax and enjoy a glass of Niagara wine on the deck as you watch a horse and buggy stroll by.

Bedroom 4 is a 24 ft x 20 ft second floor bedroom containing a luxurious queen-size bed, a dresser, a TV, and a complete 4-piece marble ensuite bathroom.

This bedroom has direct access to a large 24 ft x 17 ft deck with furniture and BBQ overlooking Platoff St. Relax in the shade, savour a cool drink, listen to the wind in the trees, and enjoy the cool breeze.

The historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) is a delightful centre for your vacation enjoyment. Niagara-on-the-Lake offers something for everyone, combining theatre, fine dining, and estate wineries with picturesque vistas of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, complemented by the Fort George historic site.   We have stayed at Governors Walk several times and keep coming back. The house is spacious and well designed to have social time and quiet time. We love having our own bedrooms and a large living room to scrapbook our memories. We can also walk to the wonderful downtown shops of Notl in minutes. A great weekend getaway place!

  Governor's Walk - A Beautiful house in a great location

  We stayed at Governor's Walk for a long weekend for a family wedding. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped. We loved the upstairs deck - a great place to cool off on a hot day. The location was perfect. Walking distance to downtown parks, restuarants, the grocery and wine stores.
  The great room in the house made it a perfect location for getting together to visit friends and family.
  Check in was easy, and the managers were very friendly and helpful.
  Lots of parking was a plus on a summer weekend.

  Amazing girls' weekend!

  Stayed for 2 nights with a group of friends and my 6-month old son. The house was perfect. Spotless, amazing location, and we loved having all the ensuite bathrooms. We ended up canceling our dinner reservations for Saturday night and ordering pizza. We just wanted to sit around the huge table and chat. The house is welcoming - we loved the gas fireplace. Janet and the team at Niagara Holiday Rentals went above and beyond, including couriering me some valuable jewelry I had forgotten.
  
  All the women in our group had a great time and agreed the house would be perfect for a New Years Eve getaway with friends or family. I look forward to visiting again someday.

  We were a party of 3 families - 10 guests in all - who found Governor's Walk as charming and suberbly run as promised. It is on a leafy, quiet street only a minute or two on foot from the main street and the Shaw Theatre. For our group, the upstairs deck with bbq was especially appreciated. We had a couple of lovely, lingering meals together on that deck. The house has all moderrn amenities but still retains the character of an old fashioned NotL home. It is neat and spotless. My family and friends would all like to return for a longer stay.
  A big thank you to Suzanne and Len who manage the property. They were always easy to contact and very generous with their time and information when I had questions regarding the house and things to do in the region. This rental was straightforward and without the tiniest hitch. What a pleasure to stay at Governor's Walk!

  Gorgeous home in the heart of it all. The bedrooms are lovely. The Grand room is perfect for group of up to 8 who enjoy dining together and sharing each others company in the adjoining sitting area. The kitchen overlooks open concept main entertainment area so no one is disconnected from the fun. Main floor master bedroom is beautiful. Lovely porches surround the house to enjoy the peach and tranquility of the area. 2nd story patio with BBQ and dining table makes coming home here perfect for enjoying the location. If you like the charm of the village at your door step this is your perfect choice. Our group has stayed at Governors Walk over 10 times in the last 6 years. Not one disappointment
