      Perfect !!!

Left on 02/01/2013 for a stay in November 2012

We celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary in this charming home and we could not have asked for more. Accommodated 6 adults comfortably. The decor had a bit of all good things - a little new - kitchen and baths - with a bit of the historical - living room and bedrooms. Beautiful "woodburning fireplace". A short charming walk to the Main Street in one direction - the lake in the other. Very clean! Managers were wonderful to deal with and greeted us for a quick tour when we arrived. What more could we have asked for - maybe a hot tub in the spacious back area. Lots of parking as well.

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay! This home is a prime location just a couple of steps from the water front and in the other direction a couple of steps from Queen St. with all the shops, restaurants, theatres, bakeries, ice cream shops, jams and goodies store, cheese shop...oh I could go on and on!

While located in the heart of old town, I think all would agree that this is a very quiet community and noise just isn't an issue. Which leads me to the hot tub. In this quiet neighbourhood with lots of old world charm and an incredible front porch perfect for reading a good book, chatting with your traveling companions or watching the horse drawn carriages go by... a hot tub just isn't a good fit. Hot tub's are in themselves noisey and then when you try and having a converstation it is over and above the noise of the bubbles and the volume just goes up!

Our goal for Captain's Quarters is to keep within the old town charm and let you experience it like a local! Origially the home of the former Captain of the Maid of the Mist, you can still feel the ambiance of the art's and craft architecture with orginal wood floors, fire place, doors and crown molding.

Hoping to greet you soon, Janet and Eric

      A wonderful month

Left on 09/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We spent a wonderful month in Notl. One of the highlights was our accommodation, Captain's Quarters. It was very spacious for my wife and myself. We had quests for six days, and the house was very comfortable for both couples. The furnishings are lovely, the kitchen and bathrooms modern, and the bedrooms cozy and comfortable. One outstanding feature of the house is the large porch, where we watched people walk to Queen St. and the various theaters. Captain's Quarters blends in with the charm of the area, but has been modernized to fit peoples' comforts and needs. A terrific place to call home for a few days or a month.

Wonderful stay at the Captain's Quarters

Left on 04/13/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Have just got back from the most wonderful Easter vacation In Niagara on the Lake. We stayed at the Captain's Quarters which was a beautifully restored arts and crafts cottage. We were given a warm welcome by both the manager and the owners who had arranged lots of little extra treats for us as a family. The living area was warm and cosy with an attractive open fire. Top of the range facilities in the kitchen and utility areas. Heavenly bathrooms, with lots of white fluffy towels and delicious smelling toiletries. The bedrooms were cosy and inviting. Lots of room for all of us and the kids enjoyed having their own bedroom area and sofa where the tv was. Nice seating area in the back garden with new barbecue and equipment. We enjoy people watching though, so the super wide verandah was where we sat in the afternoons and evenings with a drink and some local nibbles. This property is situated only a block away from the historical centre of the town which was great for shopping and meals out. Also close by were the historical forts, the lake, golf course, a Spa and swing set and splash pool for the kids. We will be recommending this holiday rental to all our friends. Once there you will find you do not want to leave.

      Relaxing, well-appointed, delightful

Left on 01/28/2012 for a stay in January 2012

Cosy, well-appointed, charming. Essentially the Captain's Quarters met and exceeded all our expectations for a mid-winter escape to Notl. The kitchen had every tool you'd need, plus top-range appliances -- all clean as can be. In the evenings, we lounged around the fireplace with a glass of local wine before retiring to high, plush beds. Great linen I might add. We slept like babies. The place is situated perfectly, so we walked by the lake, toured the lovely downtown shops etc, and then back to the calm of the house to catch our breath. We stayed just a couple of days but got a week's worth of relaxation.

Beautiful Historic Renovation - Walking Distance From Everything

Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in January 2012

We stayed at the Captain Quarter's this winter and loved it. Everything was just lovely. We had a larger group of 6 adults and we were all very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked just like home, the linens were exquisite and most importantly the beds were so comfortable.

      Thanks for a great stay.

      Great Notl getaway

Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Stayed here over part of xmass holiday. Charming and well appointed bungalow. Very comfortable beds and great location. Can easily walk to restaurants and to sights in town. House is an old 'historic' property but appears to have been very recently redone. Food at the Charles Inn around the corner is excellent.
