We have stayed here before, just returned from a longer stay of five weeks! this apartment proved to work for long term aswell as short term. we felt very comfortable and homely as if we were living in Nice. We used the secure underground garage which was very convieneint. everything you need is provide, an excellent place to stay.

Big, roomy, comfortable, very well equipped flat with a large terrace with fantastic views over the beautiful Mediterranean sea and Nice.
Marc was very helpful and so was the lady concierge.
Very secure with 2 lifts access straight to the flat. the living room actually has a double bed. The two rooms are completely separate and with access to the terrace, the air conditioning is very quite, even the outside unit. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. Lots of storage space in the flat.Parking space in the basement garage, very secure. We highly recommend it. -

WilmslowGood place to stay in Nice
Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We stayed here in May 2012. The best of the apartment is the big balcony and the view is as good as from anywhere in Nice. You can see as far as Cap Ferrat, great view day and night! The sun shines onto the balcony all morning, but not in the afternoon. The apartment is close to the airport, don't get a taxi (35 euros!), get the 98 bus (4 euros!), look for the Radisson hotel and get off just after. The Promanade is busy and noisy, six lanes of traffic, but if you want a view of the sea...
The apartment is about 30 mins walk from the Negresco, so a bus (1 euro) is probably required to get you to shops/restaurants areas, though there is a supermarket just behind the block for the essentials. While the apartment will sleep 4, the double bed is in the living room, spoiling the layout. We also thought the furniture/equipment was a little old. There was no noise from anyone in the block, and Marc at Riviera Express was very helpful. Overall we were happy with the apartment. -

Left on 05/24/2012 for a stay in May 2012
So easy to get to from the airport and easy to get to the old town. The views are absolutely gorgeous and the apartment is nice and comfortable with all the amenities . Grocery store , boulangerie/patisserie, cafe, bar, pizza, fruit and vegetables and bank right on the corner. Lovely terrace with eating area , perfect for meals ( sun in the morning, shade in the afternoon/evening). Very secure and reasonably quiet. very good value for exploring not only Nice, but other places on the coast.

This apartment exceded all of our expectaions! we had everything we needed here, it was very well equipt, making it a very pleasent and homely stay, the furnishings are very french and charming, the owner had thought of all the little extras too.
The location was perfect for us as it was away from the crowds, ok a little walk into nice old town but it was very easy along the "promanade de anglaise" took about 25- 30 mins but always plenty to see on the way.
The view was wonderful, the bay of angels from the airport to the old town and beyond! the traffic is busy but fun to watch!
The beach just across the road, perfect for a relax and a swim, after all the sightseeing we did.
Nice is a very grown up place to stay,a city break with the added bonus of the beach! for us that is a perfect balance.
The keys were at the airport for us to pick up, the bus service is excellant, not just from the airport but anywhere in Nice,we had a seven day pass which cost 15euros and that was very good value for money! but if you are only there for a few days it is only a euro a trip!
We will go back, as there is so much to see and do, and definately would stay at the st jorge, but if it was not available any of "riveira express" apartments, as they are obviously run by very honest and competent people, the whole experiance made our holiday a memorable one. -

Stayed here for Ironman France 2011, great location, large apartment with nice terrace overlooking the Promenade. Ecceltric mix of furniture, large bedroom, bathroom with bathtub and shower, seperate water closet, and brand new sun awning on terrace! Carrefour Market for groceries on Rue California, bus stops right in front of apartment for access to airport or town, bus stop on Rue California to the train station. Velo Blue location on promenade for bike rental. Would recommend not trying to sleep with the doors open, too noisy, air conditioning is perfect! Very simple to pick up keys at airport and clear directions on how to operate the apartment.

San DiegoHighly Enjoyable
Left on 05/02/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We long planned for a flat for two weeks overlooking the Promenade des anglais and this filled the bill. Note the Saint George building is a bit of a ways from the frenetic part of the Promenade denoted by the Negresco Hotel, it is southwest and served by two beaches: Coco Plage and Miami Plage right across the street. There are few distinguished restaurants at this distance from the center and the beach restaurants do not come up to par with those found in the center. Fortunately, there is underground parking. Garage entry is a definite challenge to negotiate, with a hairpin curve that threatens scraping either side of a car on the way in. But a car was great for trips to the hills of Nice, Montecarlo, Cannes, Antibes, etc. fun and easy. We also had a fun day trip to Toulon. Centre ville Nice has many parking lots to use; parking is not cheap. The fourth floor apartment is two rooms, ensuite bathroom with bidet and separate W.C. Americans may be annoyed by the toilet in a closet with a tiny sink making a tight fit and not possible to open the door fully for easy entry. Also the bidet is crowded by a combo washer/dryer in the bathroom. The flat is traditionally furnished and very comfortable. It properly accommodates just two persons, but (common to all these rentals) owners try to maximize occupancy by having folddown couches, etc. This is no exception, having both a convertible sofa and fold-down futon. This renders the dining room unusable. We rearranged the furniture accordingly. The large balcony serves both the livingroom and bedroom. The view is spectacular. Constant traffic noise will disturb those sensitive, even on the fourth floor. When not enjoying the terrace, we had the windows closed. Tv is in the bedroom: very few English channels. Security is extensive--you may find all the locks annoying. The lobby elevator takes you right to the flat. The garage elevator takes you to the general landing. The building is in fair condition.

Atlanta, GA189 St George...Best vacation rental we've ever had in Europe
Left on 09/12/2010 for a stay in September 2010
This apartment is the best all-a-round apartment we've ever rented in Europe. It is large by European standards, very well maintained, beautifully decorated, and ideally situated on the Promenade de anglais. The rate was excellent for the value. The view from the terrace, of the ocean and Nice is incredible! We took over thirty photos just from the terrace! The building was well maintained and in a friendly area. It's within walking distance to everything, or you have a bus stop in front of the building for a quick trip to anywhere. We rented two different properties from Marc (the manager) so this part will sound like my other review... it's just how we feel. We found him to be honest, caring, and genuine. I can truly say this place was beyond our expectations. All of my emails were returned immediately and informatively. We will absolutely be using Marc for any future travel to Nice or Bali.

Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We loved the view and location (across from Miami Beach) of the apartment. However, the furniture was a little dated and the keys were very tricky to open the doors. The dishwasher didn't work and parking was tight (not good for large cars). Buses from downtown kept closing early but was a good thing since we lost weight walking home every night (45 mins). The fridge broke while we were there and needs to be replaced. We lost all our frozen food due to this problem. If you eat out a lot and don't cook or clean dishes and just want a great view and easy access to the beach, then this place is the place for you.
Response from Riviera express - 08/01/2010
Owner
The dishwasher is brand new,but has children security system what makes it complicated to get is started, but all is clearly explained in guest book .The US fridge is absolutely not broken all , but the stand of the freezer has been put on frost position.

Very well located apt on the Promenade. Fine terrace with fabulous view from Cap Ferat to Antibes.
Kitchen somewhat dated but works ok.
Lock-up garage excellent for smaller car.
We enjoyed the view, short walk to the beach and a longer walk (45 min) to the center of Nice along the Promenade.
Being a busy street, there is traffic noise at most times - not a quiet location. -

Left on 07/04/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The flat is located ideally, and we had great time in Nice. We were 2 couples, but this flat is "born" for 4 people (but not 2 couple, just a couple and kids), but we knew that since we knew that the entrance to the bath room is through the bed room. Alhough there is a seperate WC. There is a parking in the house and it's very important, since it's difficult to park in Nice on the street. The entrance into the parking is a bit tricky, you have to fill good the car.
As I mentioned everything is close, there is an elevator that brings you straight to the flat, the personal is very nice ( I actually mean Marc, he is always ready to help on every problem, we didn't have too much).
Total line: take it and enjoy!!
