Our 1 bedroom rental apartment in Nice has 3 balcony windows and a large sun terrace, located on rue Alphonse Karr it is perfectly placed, for shopping, sightseeing, wine-tastings, music, the Arts, gourmet food, hillwalking, skiing.

The many water sports in Nice include sailing, diving, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, water skiing which are are some of the choices available in the Cote D'Azur region.

There is a beautiful entrance hall into this Nice apartment rental building in which a porter mans the reception desk. A ground floor lift takes you up to our bright 3rd floor apartment which has 3 balcony windows and large 24 hour sun terrace.

Our apartment has been tastefully furnished with dining table and 4 chairs well spaced from the seating area in a large sitting room in which there is much light from the two large double glazed balcony windows. There is a good quality sofa on which to relax and seating for 5 people.

This Nice rental apartment has a modern fully equipped American kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and all the utensils required to make your stay comfortable.

Our holiday rental apartment bedroom has a comfortable double bed facing onto a large, double glazed, balcony door with built in wardrobe and en-suite fully tiled shower room and toilet. The bedroom is decorated to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

The rental apartment building has recently been totally refurbished and apartment itself has been newly furnished to a high standard. The street of Alphonse Karr is the most desired street in Nice where it is rare to get an apartment and very rare to get one with a sun terrace.

Rue Alphonse Karr is in the heart of Nice's Golden Triangle known as the Carre D'or which contains Nice's most valuable real estate. This area is packed with great restaurants, cafes, ad designer furniture and clothes shops. The beach and Promenade des Anglais are just minutes away as is the main shopping avenue of Jean Medicin.

In our holiday rental apartment in Nice, the sun terrace gets the Summer sun the whole day long. A large terrace in this area of Nice is very rare. On the terrace, you may dine al fresco or breakfast in the warm morning sun or just pop down to one of the near by cafes.

Our holiday apartment for letting is located on Place Massena. Place Massena is a pedestrian square and is the central focus for all Nice. Events like the Nice February Carnival celebrations, the Christmas Village and ice skating rink, magnificent fountains, silent tram system, Art festivals, gardens, and of course the beach just 45 yards away. This square is constructed in the Italianate style with arch-ways and shops, cafes and everything you would expect to see in Rome.

The apartment is at the edge of Vieux Nice (Old Nice), filled with the aroma and sounds of all things Nicoise.

Nice for Exploration of the Cote D'Azur.
Nice is rooted in Mediterranean history and for centuries was part of the kingdom of Savoy up to 1860 and therefore has its own Nicois dialect, cuisine and traditions. Nice is ideal for exploring the whole Cote d'Azure region of the Mediterranean including, Monaco, Italy and even Spain.

Travel by sea to Corsica, Italy or St.Tropez from Port Lympia which is minutes from our holiday apartment. Port Lympia is surrounded by splendid Italianate buildings and is a haven for cruise-ships and pleasure boats.

By train, Nice gives easy access to Monaco and all parts of the Riviera, stretching from Cannes to the Italian boarder which is considered to be the most mythologized stretch of the Mediterranean coastline, attracting plutocrats, princes and their entourages. Because of its clear sunlight and vivid colours, Nice drew a new breed of painters, followed by jet-set chic and film stars, musicians and millionaires. Nice is where modern tourism started.

Bus travel costs only 1 euro for traversing the Alpes Maritime region. Busses are comfortable, air-conditioned and reliable. The bus station (Gare Routiere) is minutes from our holiday rental apartment where you can get to Antebes, Grasse, Eze, Isola 2000 or even Barcelona and Portugal.

There is a smart reception entrance area into the apartment building with a lift on the ground floor to take you to our 3rd floor self catering property. It is worth noting that none of the buildings in the Old Town have elevators. You must prepare for a steep climb up ancient, uneven stairs for higher floor away from street noise.

There are design and structural restrictions in Old Town buildings which makes it impossible to install lifts where there were made mandatory in the rest of Nice at the start of the last century.

Our building is Art Deco and well insulated against noise although rue Alphonse Karr is a quiet street where traffic does not speed and does not build up a significant volume.

However, some noise in a city is to be expected and our double glazing will reduce even that. Air conditioning in our apartment means you can close windows in the Summer.

  This apartment is set in a building with a lovely entrance/reception area, where one can relax and take a coffee whilst using the internet. The apartment was very clean, fresh and bright just like the photos, with tasteful furnishings and huge double bed. There is a laundry room, which was handy. The kitchen had everything one could want including a dish washer. The air conditioning came in handy although we cooled of on the huge terrace area or sat in one of the small balconies watching the elegant world of the shoppers below go by. The street below is lined with lovely trees and designer shops, restaurants all the way to the beach which is 5 minutes away along this very interesting apartment street. The supermarkets are just round the corner on the main shopping high street of Nice which is avenue Jean Medicin. A super stay and we have already booked for this September. Thank you to the owners for their care to detail.
