      Lovely stay at apartment Rosetti

Left on 11/30/2012 for a stay in October 2012

I stayed at this apartment with my two friends in October 12. We had a lovely experience. The apartment is very well presented and equipped. It is in a great location too overlooking the square. Very convenient for restaurants and shopping. Just 2 drawbacks I feel I should mention. There is no lift - that's not really much of a problem once you get your suitcase up the stairs. The other was the noise outside at night. But this was overcome by using ear plugs. I would recommend this apartment for its location and its presentation.

Central location, ideal base for exploring on foot, bus or train

Left on 12/07/2011 for a stay in September 2011

We stayed at Rossetti Sept 2011. Easy to get to by public transport from the airport at 4 euros each and only a short walk from the bus stop in Nice. Don't let first impressions put you off. The stairwell is shabby and the apartment is up around 6 short flights of stairs. As with most traditional properties there is no lift. We weren't sure what to expect but on opening the apartment door we were delighted by the cleanliness and facilities.
We've stayed in many self catering accomodations and Rossetti was very well equipped although compact. We did make use of the excellent cooking facilities and bought food from the daily market on Cours Saleya, the wonderful smiley local butcher(just off Place Rossetti), the many bakers and the Monoprix supermarkets. If you want to eat out there are more restaurants than you could possibly visit during a vacation and with a wide price range.
The location is right in the hub of activity but we didn't find it noisy. The clock bells do chime at 07:00 each day though. From this central point it is so easy to walk to the beach/promenade, the main shopping area, the harbour and links to public transport. We took the train to antibes and to Monte Carlo/Monaco and the local bus to Cap Ferrat and to Villefranche sur mer, all on different days. Buses are very reasonable at 1 euro per journey regardless of distance. If you intend using the bus it's worth getting a week pass. Our favourite places to visit are Villefranche and Beaulieu sur mer for a relaxing day out, the fort on the hill above Nice where the cannon is sounded daily at midday for views over the bay and Monte Carlo for the glamour. Also, if sea swimming is not your thing there is a pool on the harbour in Monte Carlo at only a few euros per day.
Some may miss having a sandy beach but the pebbly and shingly beaches are perfectly acceptable. You may like to take a padded beach mat if you intend sunbathing though. All in all a great 10 days and somewhere we would return to.

Very good beds and modern bathrooms. Nice view directly to a central square in the old town. Good guides were given for the town and its outskirts.

My home sweet home in Nice!

Left on 11/06/2011 for a stay in August 2011

The Rossetti apartment was everything we could have hoped for on our trip to Nice! We were four friends staying in this apartment and it felt like home for us with it's two bedrooms, livingroom and kitchen. The location in the heart of old town was excellent and the beach and shopping streets were within just few minutes walk.
During the check-in we got some very good tips about what to do and where to go in Nice.
I would absolutely recommend this vacation rental to everyone looking for a home-like accommodation in Nice!

Lovely apartment in a Bustling Neighbourhood

Left on 11/03/2011 for a stay in August 2011

A clean, modern and well equipped apartment in the Cathedral Square of the Old Town. A nice touch by the owners / agents in terms of a welcome pack including essential tea / coffee and wine! The reps was very helpful and gave excellent information on what and how to see during the stay. The downside with the apartment is only one toilet andno lift to the third floor! The square is buzzing day and night with diners and entertainers alike, often into teh early hours! Not for anyone seeking an early, quiet night in! Ice cream and crepes to die for on your doorstep, and wall to wall pizza and pasta!
