The Port and the lower Mont Boron are quickly becoming the coolest places to be. This is where you will find the best Nicoise and seafood restaurants in the region, many with an exceptional view onto the Old Port where traditional, colourful fishing boats are moored besides the mega Yachts of the super rich. This is also an ideal base from which to visit the many idyllic fishermans villages and great beaches laying between Nice and the Italian border not to mention its only 20 minute bus ride to Monaco. The 100 bus will take you there and the 81 bus will take you to the billionaires peninsula of St Jean Cap Ferat or the stunning bay of Villefranche in only 15 minutes. The Old Town of Nice with its busy restaurants and bustling streets is only a 10 minute walk away so even though you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of Mai you are close to all the attractions Nice has to offer.

Just got back from a week in this lovely apartment set back from the port.
2 Good sized bedrooms, amazing bathroom with jacuzzi tub and shower room with multi jet shower. Fluffy towels, Provence soap and cotton bed linen provided.
Great living room with open plan full kitchen including dishwasher, oven, hob and washing machine with enough milk, coffee, tea and sugar to see you through until you can stock up for yourself.
Lovely shady terrace, would imagine it is nice and cool in the summer.
Very quiet neighbourhood, 2 minutes from small shops including great butcher, fishmonger and boulangerie/patisserie.
Garage open until midnight at end of road, handy for when you run out of milk etc.
Decent sized Intermarche within 5 minutes walk. Large Carrefour about 5 minutes by bus towards VilleFrance The Port and Buses are 5 minutes away. Couple of small beaches just around the corner.
Only small niggle is that the apartment is advertised with internet, but doesn't actually have its own connection, wifi key is given for a shared open service but only managed to get connected once, local fon spot doesn't connect either. I had to work over the holiday so this was a bit of a headache, other than that, this is a great apartment for a family looking for a haven to base themselves from.Response from Your Nice Apartment - 01/04/2013

This was a fantastic 1st floor property in an good location near the old port. The appt was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We received a warm welcome and were given all the necessary information both about the appt and places to visit during our 3 night stay. There is a lovely long balcony with reasonable outlook on which we enjoyed evening sunshine and refreshments! Many thanks!
